Unusable USRP configuration utility

Hallo,

I am trying to use the utility configuration USRP to change the IP address of my USRPs with LV2010 or 2012.

Even when I press 'find the new feature' no USRP does. However, using a standard 'ping' command, or by using 'uhd_find_devices.exe' the USRP connected responds without problem.

I can also work with examples.

Now, why is it not possible to my USRPs using the configuration utility?

It is really annoying because I would like to update the driver to 1.1. By doing this, I also need to update the firmware...

really frustrating

hoping to get some suggestions

Best regards

HB - UM

  • ProDesk 600 G1 BIOS configuration of the TPM secure through the BIOS Configuration utility

We have a range of devices, computers HP desktop and laptops in our environment.  Devices are all running Windows 7 64 bit and should have Bitlocker enabled, but we found that some were not encrypted.  So I am trying to set up a remote BIOS and Bitlocker config activate software that we can get out via SCCM and then embed in a task sequence image for new machines.

I use the Bios HP Configuration utility to check a BIOS password is set and then activate the TPM chip.  I took a BIOS config output of each of our models and created a settings file that has all of the TPM associated parameters of all models.

At the moment I run Setup BIOS utility manually for testing.  On all models I tried that works very well, except for the 600 ProDesk G1 SFF.

When I run the utility on the ProDesk 600 G1 MFS, it says that I have managed to update the settings, and when I check the BIOS, the TPM secure has been unhidden and the TPM Management was given to the operating system (two settings I change), but the TPM itself remains hidden.

It's the release of the BIOS configuration utility (it uses the 2.60.13.1 version, which uses plaintext passwords.  I also tried with the 3.0.13.1 later version that uses password files - same result)

    C:\ > BiosConfigUtility64.exe /cspwd: "password" set: "TPM_Config.REPSET"
    < BIOSCONFIG Version = "2.60.13.1" Computername = 'HP600G1' Date = "24/07/2014" Time = "13:01:37 ' UTC '1' = >"
    < SETTING changeStatus = "pass" name = "Embedded Security Device" reason = "' returnCode '0' = >"
    < OLDVALUE > <! [CDATA [hidden device]] > < / OLDVALUE >
    < NEWVALUE > <! [CDATA [device]] > < / NEWVALUE >
    < / SETTING >
< SETTING changeStatus = "pass" name = "Enable security on the next boot" reason = "' returnCode '0' = >"
    < OLDVALUE > <! [CDATA [disable]] > < / OLDVALUE >
    < NEWVALUE > <! [CDATA [enable]] > < / NEWVALUE >
    < / SETTING >
    < SETTING changeStatus = "pass" name = "The BONES of on-board safety management" reason = "' returnCode '0' = >"
    < OLDVALUE > <! [CDATA [disable]] > < / OLDVALUE >
    < NEWVALUE > <! [CDATA [enable]] > < / NEWVALUE >
    < / SETTING >
< SUCCESS msg = "Successfully set BIOS config." / >
    < information msg = 'BCU return the value' real '0' = translated = '0' / >
    < / BIOSCONFIG >
    C:\ >

And after a reboot (where it should activate the TPM), BIOS shows as disabled built-in safety device (see attachment for the image).

I have tried everything I can think of to get this to activate, including:

    • Different versions of the BIOS configuration utility

    • Remove the password from the BIOS and the application in the same order as the parameters

    • Different passwords

    • Reboot and allowing the machine to start completely to Windows before checking if the setting took effect

I also tried to add the utility and the commands for an SCCM package and it works directly and as part of a sequence of tasks to see if that makes a difference, but nothing I've done has activated the TPM module.

I know that the TPM module works, as you can turn it on manually and then Bitlocker can be applied to the machine, but with thousands of devices in our environment, I need to get this job without the need for manual intervention.

Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?  Or has someone at - he managed to activate the TPM on the SFF of 600 ProDesk G1 using the BIOS Setup utility?  Any ideas / suggestions would be very appreciated!

P.S. This thread was moved from the company PC - Compaq, Elite, Pro for HP PC Client management. -Hp moderator of the Forum

This problem has now been resolved by HP.

They provided a replacement motherboard for the test machine I was using that solved this problem. I don't know what kind of motherboard failure could prevent the activation via the script TMP chip but not prevent activation through the BIOS menu, but as a replacement solved the problem, then it must be a hardware failure.

  • BIOS Configuration utility

    Hello
I was wondering if Toshiba laptops have a Bios Configuration utility similar to what HP and Dells have. HP has a utility called 'Biosconfigurationutility.exe' which allows the switches to export the configuration file, maniplulate it and import back into the Bios. Dell has a named CCTK aswell.

The main objective of the present is so that I can import a file of responses in SCCM to set up the laptop to turn on the TPM so that when the generation is here, I can run a windows task to activate Bitlocker with the TPM secure.

    Please help me.

    Thank you

As far as I know laptop Toshiba don t have something like that. Only the tool where you can change some settings in BIOS is Toshiba HWsetup utility you can find in Toshiba Assist optionally optimize.

    Hi Alaa' Kabbani,.

    1. did you of recent changes made to your computer?

    2. which antivirus app do you use?

    3. What is the brand and model of your computer?

I suggest to follow the steps below and we update on the State of the question.

Method 1: Disconnect any new hardware

If you have recently installed a new hardware device, the necessary driver so that the material can not be installed or the driver may be damaged or incompatible. To determine if this is true, follow these steps:

    1 unplug the appliance.

    2. restart Windows XP.

If Windows XP starts successfully, there is a driver problem with the new material. Contact the manufacturer of the device for drivers updated to the device or to learn more about known hardware issues, so that you can reinstall the device.

For information about how to contact the manufacturer of the device, refer to the Microsoft Web site at the following address:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/GP/vendors

Microsoft provides third-party contact information to help you find technical support. These details may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this third-party contact information.

If this method resolved the issue, you are finished. If this method does not work for you, go to method 3.

Method 2: Disable automatic reboot in case of system failure

If the system reboots continuously, do the following:

    1. reboot the computer.

    2. as the computer restarts, press the F8 key repeatedly until you see the Windows Advanced Options screen.

    3. use the arrow keys to select disable automatic system error rebootand press ENTER.

    4. If you receive an error message, follow these steps to search the Microsoft Knowledge Base for useful information about the error message:

    a. copy the text of the error message.

    b. visit the following Microsoft Web site:

    http://support.Microsoft.com

    c. type the text of the error message in the Search box, and then type the name of the product you are using, for example "Windows XP".

    d. click on Searchand try to find an article that will help you solve your problem.

If this method worked, you have resolved the problem of your computer restarts continuously. However, you can continue to troubleshoot driver problems. See the "Symptoms" section again and determine which method to use to solve the problem.

If this method worked, you are finished. If this method does not work for you, please try Method 3.

Method 3: Use the known last good Configuration feature

If you can start the computer successfully, you can use the known last good Configuration feature. This feature uses information that was saved the last time that you shut down the computer before the problems started. This feature allows to restore your registry settings and drivers to the previous information.

If you are not completely sure what that means, don't worry. None of these reviews will damage your computer. However, you should be aware that if you do this, any changes made to your computer after the date of last known good configuration will be lost.

If you have recently installed a driver and know a configuration problem, this method will probably work for you. Unfortunately, this feature does not solve the problems caused by missing drivers or corrupt or files.

To use the last good known Configuration, follow these steps:

    a. restart the computer.

    (b) that the computer restarts, press the F8 key repeatedly until you see the Windows Advanced Options screen.

    c. use the arrow keys to select last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked), and then press ENTER.

    d. If you are prompted to select an operating system, use the arrow keys to select the operating system and press ENTER.

If this method worked, your computer is restored to a good working state. You still have to investigate on what caused this problem. To do this, please see the "Next steps" section for troubleshooting resources more.

  • Launch the Configuration Utility 4.9 x

I'm launching Configuration Utility 4.9 x.  I get the box, select Local computer, click OK and then nothing is displayed.

In the HP. File Dss.ConfigUtility.CrashDump.log, I see a warning message: Unhandled Exception has occurred in the DSS service.  Message: Failed to create 'serviceconfigurationwindow' failure, defined in Assembly...

I tried to run it as an administrator as suggested, but nothing helped.  I am looking at different security settings, but can't nail the right pair for the moment.

  • System Configuration utility

I had a hotline to change how windows starts and clear my system for viruses etc.

I have no w received a message on my pc every time you start by saying that the system utility is in diagnostic or selective startup mode.

I need to choose normal startup on the general tab mode to start windows normally and undo the changes you made by using the system configuration utility. Help!

Where is THE general tab and that make the changes I need to do when?

That's why using msconfig to deal with start-up problems is the wrong way to go.

To answer your specific question, click Start, then click Run, type msconfig in the box "Open", and then click OK.

Running msconfig starts the System Configuration utility.  It has several tabs, the leftmost is the general tab you're looking for. Click the general tab and then click on the 'Normal Startup' radio button.  And then click OK.

When you restart, you'll be in normal mode - but probably some problem has prompted "phone support" to run msconfig first place will return.

If you want to fix things rather than simply hide them with msconfig, please post describing the problem that comes up when you restart in Normal mode.

  • After installing a new HARD drive, I get a screen "control i to access the configuration utility.

    Help?

I installed a new HARD drive on my xps 15 because the old drive crashed. Everything works fine and the system boots perfectly. Before entering the Dell splash screen, the screen "control i to access the configuration utility" appears for 5 seconds. After that, the normal boot sequence resumes. Can someone please explain to me why this is happening and what I can do about it?

Here is a link to the screen I get started: http://s102.photobucket.com/user/alexcinie/media/photo_zpsb75f0a7f.jpg.html

The mSATA drive is used as a cache for the hard drive dynamic - these are essentially implemented in a RAID 0 array.  See the link below (it is for Alienware, but applies to your system as well).

If you want to keep the disk cache, you need to configure the array as shown.

  • ISA500 Configuration utility

I hope I'm not the only one who has this problem... I realize that this is stated in the documentation, but I thought I'd ask... when the ISA500 series will fully support browsers other than IE8?  Right now, I can't get the configuration utility to load in IE9, IE10, firefox or chrome.  I have almost completely eliminated XP machines on my network that presents a huge problem when I have to tinker with the ISA.

Could someone provide some information or possibly a time on it?

IM using ie9 and ie10 and it works perfect.

Chrome and Safari works but some features are reported missing while they are not usable.

Try to clear the browser cache and temporary files and try to use new ie9/10

    : Quick note:

I had a huge problem caused by missconfigure by me trying to Setup dual wan.

Anyway the isa was behaving strangely and under this time I managed to connect using ie10 but after clicking on any tab in the menu, I was thrown. Reset did not solve it. I had to reset the device.

  • Updates the performance of HP Array Configuration Utility in ESXI 5?

Is that what someone has HP Array Configuration Utility to run on ESXI 5?   Of all the post, I see that it worked under ESX but not ESX (i).   This seems to be a footnote which was offered before. Have the Array Configuration Utility to expand the disk on the fly are necessary to our data center. Should we switch to ESX 4 on all hosts.

    Current situation:

ESXI 5 servers now running many DL380 G5 with Array P400 controllers.

VMware vSphere 5 and 5 Vcenter

    Thank you

    Mike

    Hello

I do not think that the vMW allows the ACU installation at all - how he would talk to the RAID card in local hardware store?

The workaround is usually a design change. Your 'best practice' typical ESXi installation is performed in a sort of SAN, where such technology is irrelevant.

Apart from this, you can always vMotion your virtual machines to another machine, then restart a host and boot from the Smartstart CD, where you can run the ACU.

I certainly would not downgrade to ESX4 - it is like recommending a downgrade to Windows 2000 for the future.

  • How can I remove the HP Network Configuration utility

I am P2Ving some HP machines and reading the posts here on how to remove most of the HP components, but I'm stuck on how to get rid of the HP Network Configuration utility program that puts the HP Network icon in the system tray.  There is a post of Guillermo Musumeci in 2007 that said using this command:

    SNetCfg.exe - v u cq_cpqteam

to do it, but I can not find snetcfg.exe on this server.

There is also a post of Jasemccarty in 2007 that said this keymay be the key to remove:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network\

    {4D36E975-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\{FD0FF0D6-4876-4894-9274-258564E35C07}

But this key does not appear in the registry on that server.  Anyone has any ideas on how to remove the last piece of a P2V-centric software HP had VM?

Anyone know why HP makes breath difficult to remove their drivers and other components?

    Thank you

    Dan

Open the properties of your network card (either will do)

Go - properties and click the HP tool and select "Uninstall".
