Upconvert VI Labview 8.5 or labview 10.

Please help me following upconvert screw Labview 8.5 or Labview 10. I tried to post in the thread of the screw to upconvert but did not get any results. Please help me for the same

Jay

  • You not start a new thread for your problem in the jury of the conversion, but added to an existing thread that was already resolved. It is so hard to find. As has been mentioned, you should start a new thread for each conversion.
  • No, I can't help. To convert the 5.1.1 we need someone who always has installed LabVIEW 8.2.
  • You posted Friday afternoon, where most people are getting ready for the weekend.
  • There are not a lot of traffic here this weekend.
  • Today is a federal holiday in the United States, so it is perhaps also less overall activity.
  • I think it should just be patient. Good luck!

  • 2013 LabVIEW allows the user to return to the LabVIEW 2012 or 2011?

    Hi all

I have LabVIEW 2013. I noticed that in LabVIEW measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) under the LabVIEW Run-Time 2012 SP1 f2 software is listed. This somehow means I can return or switch between LabVIEW 2013 and 2012 without having to install/reinstall?

The reason why I ask, is that I have several instrument drivers written for LabVIEW 2012 sp1 I want to use.

This is probably a silly question, I know.

On a related note, is it possible to tell if a driver written for an older version of LabVIEW will work in a new version of LabVIEW? Or you just have to play with the software?

    Thank you

    Oh, John

    Hi John,.

More explicitly answer your main question - you can install multiple versions of LabVIEW in parallel (at the same time, on the same PC), however that one version of patch of each major version (for example, 2011, 2012, 2013) can be installed - you can not install 2012 and 2012 SP1 at the same time.

The runtime that you noticed has probably been installed with another component that was built in this environment.

As Dennis said, the big thing to keep in mind is that your screws will have to be upconvertis/resized when moving between versions.

If your instrument driver is written in 2012 LabVIEW using the serial at low altitude of LabVIEW drivers, it will certainly work in 2013.  If you open the screw driver in 2013 and that you do not see workload issues, you should be good to go.  If pilots request DLL or another have external dependencies can be involved more work.

    Kind regards

I can't read the files in the attachment (CCD drivers), because they are written in a version of LabVIEW (5.1.1) is not compatible with mine (10.0).

Anyone know how to make them readable by my version?

  • Sypris Teslameter Driver_too early to convert version of labview 8.5

I'm new to the labview program (8.5) and try to use it to run my setup. I have connected the Teslameter/Gaussmeter (FW Bell Sypris 6010) to the computer via the serial port and cable RS-232 and used the driver (of the company) for this type of devices to enable labview communicate with this device, but there is always an error when I try to access the device through labview. This error says:

"Version of VI is still too early to convert the last version of LabView.

  • You try to view the LabView 5 with LabView 10 file

    Hello

I'm a mechanical engineering student currently working on my master project to the LAUGHS. A component of the project is the control of the movement with the stepper motors. I bought a suit several system controller engine and plan to integrate it with a VI control additional devices. He provided example screws to work with to control the motors. However, these are LabVIEW 5 files that won't open on my school LabView 10 licenses. Is there a way to convert them into a form that I can work with? Moreover, anyone with access to an earlier version would be able to post some screenshots of the attached the VI block diagram?

    Much appreciated,

    Gary Sereico

On the homepage in the topic listings are links to upconvert/downconvert screws you can put a request in the Upconvert requests Thread , for example. So, if you have others that should be upconvertis, please post your request there.

Attached are the screws to 8.2, you can open. Please note that the screws used have changed quite earlier to no longer use direct access to the port. The serial port called screws are just wrappers around VISA. Make sure that you have installed NI-VISA. If you do not, then you can download it from the site of NOR. Just click on help at the top of the page.

  • VI blocks labVIEW on opening

Whenever I open my first level vi, labview crashes with the error message "LabVIEW 10.0 development system has stopped working" and he invites me to close labVIEW.

My first level vi contains a machine structure and the event State and several under vi. It was working fine until a crash suddenly after I was wiring a local variable... and now it will not open at all.

Is there anyway to restore a vi like this or will I have to start from scratch?

    Vascular cerebral accidents says:

I'm still new to labVIEW (where the lack of backup vi).

Being new to LabVIEW and have a good backup strategy are mutually exclusive.  Consider using a source code control system.

How can I open labVIEW 2011 vi in labVIEW 10.0 (which is the version I use), I thought about the opening of vi it would convert it automatically... ?

You can not. Screw saved in a newer version of LabVIEW can not be opened in a previous version. That's why we have to Downconvert requests Thread. A new version of LabVIEW open screw written in an earlier version (up to a certain point) and convert them. If the VI is too old, then we have the Upconvert requests Thread.

In fact, I downloaded the wrong version. Joined the LV 10.0 version. Sorry about that.

I upgraded to Labview 2015-2016, but when you open one having previously worked for the project I now see an error in the NI_ReportGenerationToolkit.lvlib:Excel_Save_Workbook.vi.

He tells me that the invoke node contains terminal unwired or bad.  However, it's a NOR provided VI and has not been changed between updates. Please let me know if it is a solvable issue.

Take a look at this thread.

  • DAQ Assistant is not in LabView

    Hi all

I use NEITHER cDAQ-9174 and NI 9203.  I have already installed the driver for the NI 9174 cDAQ, which is NEITHER-DAQmx 9.8.0.  I can see the device when I opened NI MAX. However, when I open LabView 2015, I can't find DAQ Assistant in the function Palette. I noticed on the chassis, 'ACTIVE' light is not on while two other "POWER" and "READY" light is on.  I look in the forums OR but I can not find the solution.

    Any suggestion, please help!

    Thank you!

DAQmx 9.8 is not compatible with LabVIEW 2015.  You must use at least DAQmx 15.0.  See here for more details: NOR-DAQmx and LabVIEW compatibility

  • LabVIEW FPGA SPI accident - SPI OR IP address for example - R series OR

    Hello

I am trying to run the series R - sample project NI SPI FPGA Simulation.lvproj that comes with the SPI IP OR on a real FlexRIO FPGA SMU-7976R target with an attached digital adaptation NI 6581 B Module. The example is for a PCIe-7841R but I wore during my target FPGA, follow these steps and made additional changes to try to make it work with my set-up. I learned that FlexRIO FAMs CLIPs do not work with nodes in office had so I know I can't simulate the project originally planned so I will try to use FPGA to e/s node host side (open FPGA vi reference) to implement the actual hardware.

My first question concerns my configuration of the adapter module e/s and selection. I added the IO Module (NI 6581 B: NI 6581 B channel) for my project and selected the channels as shown in the table below. I have a real physical hardware connection as described below using two NI SHC68-C68-D4 cables and a break-out Board.

I changed the names as well:

I selected these DIO channels because I wanted the DDCA connector to be the master and the DDCB connector to be the slave. In addition, in this CLIP every eight channels of i/o has a write enable signal. I have not used the Port configuration because I needed 4 available DIO channels and I saw DIO0-3. Is my logic of selection of channel vs correct Port here?

Following the same strategy that examples FlexRIO/NI6581B, I changed the FPGA.vi to include initialization outside of timed loops:

And in the Host.vi I have a node reference FPGA and wired loops of feedback accordingly:

When I compile the FPGA and try to run Host.vi LabVIEW inevitably crashes with Crash Reporter below and must restart:

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong here? My guess is that it has something to do with the CLIP/IOModule. Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    Scott

    Hi Scott,.

I suspect that the problem might be related to the fact that your node open FPGA VI reference is in the while loop and trying to open a new FPGA reference at each iteration.
If you move outside of the while loop, it does not solve the crash?

On channel vs port question, your logic seems reasonable to me, but I recommend to try it since this feature could depend on device.
