Update adobe flash player for 17 NPAPI, shows on the adobe site that is installed on the operating system xp, I have windows 7, no sounds or video won't play when using FF

I've updated the flash 17NPAPI drive 3/20 and now no audio or video will play. Went through all the help the Odobe website which shows the installation but also shows my OS XP, but I have windows 7. The previous version was still appearing in my programs as active 16 X adobe flash player so I deleted a new and thought that the old one would work so well. But still no audio or videos don't play.

My windows media player works fine, it's just when I get online with firefox that I'm having this problem...

Thanks in advance for any help

The ActiveX version is for Internet Explorer.

Welcome to the forums.  Firstly (and this is just my personal opinion) you can actually have a bit more large partition for the operating system.  Just to receive the updates and service packs and other.

This article will show you how to change the default location of My Documents.  Also when you install programs then ensure you that you change the default installation directory, it will try to go on the C: drive.

  • How can you correct update of Flash Player for Safari V 5.1.10?

Adobe Flash Player was working fine until I downloaded the latest update. I've lived cela in April when I had to uninstall Flash Player and reinstall an earlier version. I tried to do that this time, but had no chance. It still does not work. I have Mac OS 10.6.8.

  • Flash was interrupted by Firefox (dangerous) but the download blocking, so I have no way to watch a video. Help, please

I would like to see a video from Amazon. Firefox has disabled Flash because of another security breach. Unlike many updates past, this version of Flash crashes because of a script error.

How can I run Flash even if it is wrong?

Apple Quicktime can be used with videos from Amazon?

You can try to download the latest Flash of this page: https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html - is that the plugin-based browsers, and unless your security software EXE blocks, you can download the EXE or MSI format.

A common cause of errors in script does not work on Windows Vista and later versions is the feature of safe_mode plugin Flash player; I don't think that this applies to Windows XP, but maybe he does now. This feature has the security benefits, but it seems to have serious compatibility problems on some systems. There is a hidden parameter to disable; I suggest to try it for a day to see if that helps you:

    (A) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (B) in the search above the list box, type or paste the flash and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (C) double-click the preference dom.ipc.plugins.flash.disable - protected mode to change its value from false to true.

It cannot take effect until all the Flash was discharged for a few minutes, or you close Firefox.

According to the following support page, Amazon recommends to use Silverlight over Flash plugin: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201422810

You can download it from Microsoft here: https://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/get-started/install/default.aspx

  • Software for printing device Kodak esp7250 does not load as areas appear gray and Kodak said that it is a problem with the operating system 7

I have problems trying to reinstall my printer software Kodak esp 7250.  The area where you register the software is empty and the Browse button to choose a place is gray, so it will not go any further because if you then choose then says invalid path.  Of course, it's an invalid path because it will not choose an or allow me to choose one.  I contacted Kodak and after working with it for a while, they said it's a problem with the operating system.  I have Windows 7 on a laptop Gateway.  I need my printer and get very frustrated because nobody seems to know how to solve this problem.  I was able to use it when I got to the laptop, but suddenly one day it wouldn't work.  Help, please.

    Hello

    Thank you for your response.

Make the SFC scan and check the status of the issue.

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

I would also advise you to check the status of the issue in a new user account.

    Create a user account:

If it works in a new user account, then you will need to fix the corrupted user profile. You can visit this link for the steps:

  • Updates Flash Player for PS3

    Hello everyone.

I am writing this post because it seems there is a lack of support and updates of Adobe Flash player for the Sony PS3 and also to show that there is a demand for an update to do.

It seems that the BBC made an effort, even if PS3 users do not have the latest version of Flash Player, you can still catch up on all the shows of BBC missed on the new official support from BBC iPlayer for the PS3. See the link below.

    http://www.ixalon.NET/2009/09/PS3-and-UK-catchup-TV-services/

The latest version of Flash Player for PS3 is exceeded (on the last UK firmware version 3.01 at time of this post) and after spending an hour scouring the internet for news on a next update without success, I decided to come hear and ask why that is?

Why so the Sony PS3 still more than 12 months of delay on these updates?

Please answer, because me and many others I'm sure, don't want to know.

    Thank you.

Here's the answer... for devices (mobile phones, game boxes, set-top boxes, etc.) concede us the player to the manufacturer. They then get the player to you, and they are responsible for the update.  And this is the case for the PS3 at the moment.

Honestly, I don't know how the BBC was doing in the iPlayer... But they have a special offer (they are an Adobe partner, giving them special privileges)...

    Hello

From Windows 8, Microsoft integrates Flash Player in Internet Explorer and all updates are distributed by Microsoft, no Adobe.

In addition to checking that Flash Player is enabled, please ensure that the ActiveX filtering is disabled, see difficulty ActiveX in Flash Player in Internet Explorer issues.

Today is patch Tuesday, which means that Microsoft will come out all sorts of updates, including an update to Flash Player for IE.  I don't know when they're going to live, because the update has not yet posted to Microsoft Security Advisory 2755801.  You can check this page later today, or run Windows Update later today or tomorrow to install updates.

  • Updated Flash Player for Linux

Hi, I wonder if it is possible to get out an update of Flash Player for Linux improve compatibility.

Currently installed on Ubuntu 14.04.1 and Flash Player not identified some sites in Firefox and chrome

Adobe offers current versions of PPAPI Flash Player to Google Chrome on Linux, and we have ongoing work to extend the support to other browsers for Linux based on PPAPI.  For now, Google Chrome is your best option.

  • Not able to download the update of Flash Player

I have a Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5.  And I'm running on Safari 6.  I tried to download the update of Flash Player for Adobe Flash Player Installer 15 since last week.   The download box appears when I click on 'Install Adobe Flash Player'.  He requested my password, I come into the box of shakes showing that I entered the wrong password.  I changed my password for Adobe and my administrator password.  And still nothing.  And I can't uninstall it because I apparently do not have the right password.  I asked for help on this problem last week.  And no one has been able to help.

This password is presented by your operating system and is designed to prevent you from accidentally installing the software.

If it comes to your personal computer and you don't need a password to connect to the computer when it first starts, you can probably leave the password blank and click OK to go to this prompt.  If it comes to your personal computer and your normal password does not work, make sure that CAPS LOCK SHIFT is off, and then type the password carefully.

If this is your work machine and he asks an administrator password, well, you will need to have a conversation with your computer friendly.

If you are still puzzled, you may need to reset the password on your Mac:

The bulk of this article applies to Windows 7, too:

A description of the differences between 32-bit versions of Windows Vista and 64 bit versions of Windows Vista:
         http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/946765

    You have 2 two versions of Internet explore 8 (IE8), 64-bit IE8 and IE8 32 bit. IE8 64-bit is the default value.

It is not a 64-bit version of Flash Player (at least not yet). While IE8 64 bit is your default browser, Flash contentshould open in IE8 32 bit. If you know any page contained Flash (or dependent on one or more ActiveX controls), open an instance of IE8 32 bit to access the page.

IE64-bit is a "level 2" browser Flash and ActiveX controls are supported in browsers 'level 1' (e.g., IE 32 bits). Seelevels of browser support on this somewhat linked page: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263526.aspx#section2

You should familiarize yourself with this FAQ: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/32-bit-and-64-bit-Windows-frequently-asked-questions

The following is based on a related post from my colleague MVP Don Varnau aboutFlash & IE8 32 bit:

The executable file for IE8 32 bit can be found here:

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

The executable for IE8 64 bit can be found here:

    C:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe

Browse to the appropriate Program Files folder and create a shortcut to this version ofiexplore.exe

    Then using IE8 32 bit:

    1. download and save to the desktop, the Flash Player uninstaller

    2. download and save to the desktop, the Flash Player installer

    Then...
Right click on the uninstall program, and then select run as administrator of
    Reset.
Right click on the installer, unzip it and select run as administrator
    Reset.
    - - -
    Then...
Make sure IE8 32-bit is the default open.

When you right-click on the icons of IE in the quick launch area, the Start Menu and the desktop, then click Properties, which is in the target field?

(From a previous post by Peter Csaszar... version)

    Targets should be either:
    IE8 32 bit "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"
    IE8 64-bit "C:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe"

Change these objectives to be "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Internet ' (including the quotes) and IE8 32 bit should open by default

To create a shortcut to IE8 64 bit for occasional use, navigate to the file iexplore.exe inC:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe. Right-click iexplore.exe , and then select send to. Desktop (create shortcut). Rename this shortcut so that you know this is the shortcut for IE8 64 bit.

To make sure IE8 32-bit is the default, try this link http://www.Microsoft.com. When the browser opens lookhelp | About Internet Explorer. If there is no mention of 64-bit, 32-bit is the default value. If you have disabled the Menu bar, you will need to right click on the IE toolbar and put a controlmenu bar to have help available (or simply press ALT to move focus to themenu bar temporarily).

Welcome to the wonderful world of Windows 64-bit!
