  • Why a notifier ask me to update Aurora when I am already updated to the last Aurora?

-Pop-up notifier to the lower right corner

Aurora is not one version of Firefox that you thought. Is the name of one of the channels of development.

Development before then every night--> Aurora-> Beta-> then the output channel. When Firefox 10.0 is released the 11.0a2 will be move/merger of Aurora to the beta channel.

Aurora gets patches that can happen every day and sometimes have gaps of two or three days between the two updates is that when there are archives. Check-ins for nightly frequently enough that it is pretty well every day and sometimes has a respin in the same day.

Aurora is not really intended for users of Firefox, but for testers and those who understand that he often gets updates.

Before and after an update type on: to the location (address) bar and you'll see there's a new date of construction. There are also updates on the 29, 30 and 31 Dec.

  • "Show my windows and tabs from last time ' has stopped working after software updated to the end of January or early February. Now on 12.0a2. Change options "Auora to start: ' no longer works.

I use this feature for years and update Firefox/Aurora in the next few days, maybe a week, an update becomes available and everything suddenly ' show my windows and tabs from last time ' has stopped working. I can go to the Tools-Option-general tab and change "at Aurora startup:" to this option, or 'Show my home page (s)' and now the opening in a new tab single even though I have URLs there. This may mean that this bit is not read correctly. I'm not playing: config, but I watch a few spoken options in the Web and everything looked OK.

I would uninstall and reinstall it if you think it will solve the problem. I updated Aurora again because this problem started and it remains broken. It is a system of XP with SP3

PS: I have two other windows with a XP and the other Windows 7. When I had the problem on my primary XP System I stopped to make updates to other systems. Today I updated the two other systems with the latest Auora (skip one or two updates) and both work very well.

The best way for me to trouble?

    Hey punchcard4rjw,

Have you tried to start Firefox in Mode safe? Key 'shift' startup of Firefox. If it doesn't happen in Mode without failure, you should read the extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common troubleshooting Firefox problems.

If this does not work, you should look the article How to fix preferences that will not save.

    Hope this helps!

  • Manager of Firefox & profile partially load, no screen, no menu.

I've been using Firefox Beta for several years, and shortly after that which began with Aurora. Both were loaded on my computers and worked well. There are several updates after upgrade to beta version of Firefox, it would not load completely. I don't have screenshots, but see no way to tie up here. The best verbal description I can give is the outline of an area where the program tries to load with only the boxes to close/minimize the visible program in the upper right corner.

Also, I followed the instructions to load the Profile Manager, but get a similar result. This time the name of the program is displayed in the blue header section, but the box is entirely black, while the Aurora was especially so with a black stripe under the section "header."

Like Aurora, has worked for several other updates before you have the same problem that Firefox Beta, I think that the problem is not the profile that they share the same profile. After trying to update Aurora yesterday, he and Firefox Beta are unusable. The first thing I did was uninstall these two programs and tried to re - install.

    Thank you
    Mark

Yes the Aurora and developing Nightly check-ins usually gets every day so they get an update of each of these days. The beta channel receives usually say six to twelve Beta builds for a version with new build since last so that the version 26.0.

I just bought a MSI r9 390 x upgrade my r9 270 came with the computer. I had a problem where as soon as I turn my graphics to the max the computer restarts. No blue no screen no error message just to the top restart as if someone plugged and unplugged the pc.

I have this reduced to a problem of power supply as no overheating takes place. I think it is the J556T power supply provided with the original pc stock. • Why do lose all my favorites, settings and Add ons in the recent update of Aurora?

When I was using Aurora happened to crash so I restarted as I normally would when this happens, but when it restarted, there has been a new version (Firefox Developer Edition) and not a single bookmark, folder, add on etc. remained (not to mention my previous session who had quite a few little trivial tabs (, but some a little more important and ALL my story disappeared). When I tried to go to Sync and see if that would restore whatever it is the option to put in my recovery key was not found though in Sync FAQ he mentioned this old way of using sync can still be used. So I made an account email and password and still unable to find a way to sync everything I lost. I searched around the frequently asked questions and not been able to find a resource to help to my question.

I've been a loyal user of Firefox (since 2005) and I will continue to be, but it really took me by surprise because even in the previous updates, I never had a problem like this.

Help what to do would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

  • Aurora Firefox crashing when opening after update

I'm under 32.0a2 Aurora. This morning I upgraded to Aurora when the popup little said that there is a new update available. Since then, I have not been able to open Aurora. It crashes everytime I do, even in safe mode. Sometimes I can manage to get Aurora to open, but when I try to go to a Web page (any), it crashes again. The Mozilla Crash Reporter comes up and asks me if I want to send a report, he asks if I want to reboot or restart in safe mode. No matter what I do, it crashes. Here are the latest reports:

  • Aurora browser keeps trying to update with a version I already have. Are these real updates? Or y at - it a bug?

I 31.0a2 Aurora (2014-05-27) it asks me to upgrade to the same version (31.0a2). She does regularly and the last of them was the 2014-05-28 19:30 EDT

See [1003379/questions/1003379] why is Aurora still on the a2 version?

Aurora Gets an update almost every day and it only changes the version number when the version of Firefox on the channel of update version gets a major version update (next will be 29.0.x to 30.0), so it's OK.

  • Aurora has updated to version 25, and the findbar was borked...

After the Aurora version 25 update, I discovered a whole bunch of user interface changes that I absolutely hated it, as has been the case for most updates post-Firefox 3. I can live with most of them, but changes to the Findbar are just horrible. It is moved to the top of the screen, a beautiful 'Blue horror' and don't rest not open between tabs. Is there an option in Config to fix at least some of this?

    See this mozillaZine forum thread:

  • Aurora keeps update for no reason

Or any other day or even every time I manually check an update on Aurora he thinks that there is an update. And then when I restart Aurora it turns that it updated to the exact same version of Aurora. Why would he do that? Or how to fix this problem? It started that happened last week. Around, I think, a week after that I had installed Aurora. I tried re-installing Aurora on the one I have already.

Hello, I guess it comes to behaviors expected - aurora is a version of development that comes with daily updates. If you want less updates or the other switch to the beta channel (who receives ~ weekly updates) or output channel that has six weeks of release cycle.

  • 15.a02 Aurora android update

I have aurora on my xperia arc s and it repeatedly tells me that there is an update, but it is the same version that tells me each time (15.0a2). I have download and install successfully, but am always notified of an update to the same version every day.

    Hello

Even if the version number does not change, the date needs to change (you can see this in the page on Aurora, in your settings) and there will be changes to the app. They are so busy in Aurora that he really is updated almost every day. Thanks a lot for testing of Aurora and helps make Firefox on Android is awesome!
