Update blackBerry Smartphones BB SW BRICKED my daughter is curved!

I'm new to these forums and the BlackBerry, having had my 8310 for a few months only (by my company). However, my daughter had her Curve 8310 since last March, and she has had intermittent problems with it. It was replaced under warranty by AT & T twice.

This last time, she discovered that the sounds had ceased - his alarm did nothing when it exploded. The sounds later mysteriously returned, but she decided that it was the last straw. She wanted to bring her back to the AT & T warranty Center to replace again, but I suggested that she first attempts to put his system. My theory was, since the new software has been released, it would be wise to upgrade. I chose to do the upgrade, and it went through the process again, save the curve on my computer and is about to wipe. This time, he was once again broken the connection, but when I selected 'Retry' he seemed to proceed as usual, erasing the device to upgrade.

The fun starts now. When the real upgrade began, that the unit broke out to establish the connection. Again, I got the dialog with the boxes 'Retry' and 'Cancel' box and click 'Retry '. Now, my question is, what is my recourse? Is there a possible way to recover this device (because the computer does not recognize it via USB connection)? Should I just take it back to AT & T and have them replaced (again)? And the backup I did last night will be restorable at the new BB (assuming they give her another curve)?

Don't worry, it's not a paperweight. MOST likely, the previous upgrade process constituted a return of the device before the upgrade failed. It's probably, there are some third party faulty or theme application that "perhaps" do the upgrade fails.

Well, error 507 means simply that no operating system is found.

First of all, you have the full OS file downloaded on your PC?

Do that first.

Second, make sure that your USB cable is connected to the main REAR usb port. No USB hub port or before.

At the present time, unplug the USB from the BlackBerry, power down to turn off and restart your PC.

Meanwhile, do a reset on the BlackBerry > with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

Once the two are back running, confirm that Desktop Manager is NOT loaded or running on your PC.

Follow these instructions below:

1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

IF you succeed step by step: you will not need to use JL_Cmder to wipe the device and then load the operating system on the device. Follow the instructions here:

Hey guys, I have a problem.

I recently acquired a Blackberry 8330 and let me start by saying this: it's one of the best machines I've ever held. It is simply amazing.

I installed the Device Manager and have been using it without any problem. Then, I went and did an update wireless with my phone, the upgrade of the OS. Since I did this, however, the Manager has recently stopped recognizing my device - my computer recognizes him again, as he charges when it is plugged in and I can always access to the hard drive, but for some reason, I cannot use the Device Manager to do anything - down, States in the Device Manager there is no trendy Black Berry as shown by the 'None' exposed next to the Pin number.

What can I do? I really need to access blackberry via the Device Manager. Someone, please help > _

Things I've tried:

-Restart the Blackberry (both by pressing the red button and pull the battery and re insert)

-Update the device to the more recent version Manager

-The latest version is uninstalled, then download and install the version provided with the blackberry (4.2)

I noticed that the CD that came with the device itself does not contain the most recent edition of the Device Manager, if that means anything. It's just weird that the Device Manager has stopped working after I upgraded. Currently, my OS is V4.5.0.175. I've recently updated both my 8310 Black Berry - same question parents. Before, I could access it via Device Manager. Now, I can't. Please help me!

Data not updated blackBerry Smartphones when inactive phone

Hi all

Recently, I removed my main of my device e-mail address while he is on vacation.

I just put back it, but now I find that data (emails and BBM) are not updated when the phone was in bag for awhile.

If I put myself in response to or sending emails or BBM of unit all starts update again and all emails in circulation and BMMs come out at the same time.

Everything working the normal flow is restored, but after being in the Pocket for awhile everything stops again.

Any ideas?

I noticed the problem when I started getting these archaic messages called SMS asking me why I do not answer to my BBM... naturally the idea of not receiving them is scaring me senseless!

Indeed, these IPD files are backups of your BB and are available as a source of food (they are a proprietary format and cannot be used for any other purpose, except by a few 3rd party applications that have been written to analyse). Choose the most recent one (the one with the most recent date and time, as displayed in the File Manager Windows) using this procedure:
