  My advice is to reload the original operating system as released by your carrier. At least so, then assess the situation.   Insofar as the upgrade, this is usually controlled by the carrier. There are exceptions, such as devices without brand sold by the store BlackBerry or Amazon.   Unless your device is one of the exceptions, and you know that your operator has released an update, contact your provider's customer service.

  You are currently on the latest version. What is happening is that you are either carrier b apps pushed deleting or (b) remove built-in OS Blackberry apps. The operating system recognizes this and pushes the apps for you. It's a little frustrating, but the quick solution is to create a folder (such as "USELESS CRUD", which is what mine is called!) and all the programs that you do not want to go in this folder. Then bury this folder on the last part of your home pages.

  BlackBerry® Desktop Software could not validate your update to the BlackBerry® device. Aborting installation because of the failure of the validation. Some unsatisfied dependencies contained package.

  My BB Messenger seems to have disappeared, but still is still installed on my phone while I was trying to force an upgrade re your suggestions on some of your other discussions

  Just for your information and for others in a similar situation, I managed to fix the problem. Somehow BlackBerry Messenger had been corrupted and could not be uninstalled through the BlackBerry Desktop Software. Don't know if this is a quirk of Mac! However, there is a hidden agenda somewhere Application Manager in the Bold 9900, accessible through the search utility, which he skipped completely allowing a relocation of a clean version of the BB Messenger & removing the problems expressed above.

• BlackBerry Z10 software updating keep checking

  Z10 connected to WiFi and 2 new updates made.  Rebooted phone and when it starts up to the top of the screen shows the spinning wheel and what to check updates.  I tried to pull the battery for long periods of time.  I took the SIM card, as well as the battery. I can't do seems to pass the phone to another screen.  Can't go beyond that, very frustrated.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

  Thank you for your support.  I have install the blackberry link and follow the instructions.  My installation of the new operating system was interrupted at 7% of the complete installation (loss of internet connection).  Tried to reinstall, once again, had some difficulties, reconnecting to the link to launch the re - install.  Has taken our battery, restart the computer.  Once I reinstalled the battery, the phone started to work.  The audit for the software update has disappeared and I was able to use the phone again.

  Anyway, the phone is on.

  Does anyone else have this problem? I have a z10, overnight, I took an update (Fido), is the same night that Z10 my son is dead (Koodo).  It does not load and stops just after the BB screen. My son's phone is around the age of 12 months.  It seems that these phones are now available, I'm worried because mine is coming to the 12-month anniversary.

  I have questions after I tried to update my BB Q10 on 10.1.0.4181. I received a notification that there is an update of the device software, so I made a backup of my Q10 with Blackberry link before the update. I tried to turn it off, and it wouldn't so I did a battery pull. Unfortunately, I didn't know that you shouldn't do BB10.   I thought about it. I suggest to anyone that they do not do the update live, but rather to connect to the Blackberry link on your laptop computer and load the update there. I Redid the update via Blackberry link and now my phone is back to normal.

  When I low swip I noticed that I don't have bedside or location in the list mode, the alarm only allowing 1 research alarm not multiple. Do I need to be connected to a mobile operator to get updates appropriate that has my other z10?

  (2) the phone is locked, is there a way to find out which carrier it is blocked? Does not know the person I got the phone.

  This is the latest version of the software.

  -Quick settings - bedside Mode select =.

  The clock allows only a recurring alarm, you can use the bedside for multiple alarms (icon at the top right).

  Generally the carrier brand appears at startup when a phone is locked by them.

  Check the other threads about how update with a downloader.

  Here's the deal. For most cases, upgrades of the OS are controlled by carriers. Releases the blackBerry OS, carriers of test and communicate to end users.   1. Download the file above. Extract it from the ZIP file if it is compressed. If it is a ".rar" file, you will need an unpacking app WinRar on your PC to extract the file.
  2. Connect your Z10 to the PC. Using the link, make a backup * your phone.
  3. Find the downloaded file and run the autoloader (double click on the EXE file) and a black DOS window appears stating "connecting to the bootrom. The DOS window treats installation and begins to load the operating system. If you have a passwored for security, you will be asked to enter.
  4. When the loading of the operating system is completed, your Z10 will restart. Disconnect from the PC.
  5. At this point, I have always hold down the power button on top a few seconds and touch the RESTART at the bottom right.
  6. Reconnect to the computer and run your restore by using the link to BlackBerry.
  7. Now, you have to reenter passwords for email, Twitter, Facebook, etc..

  * Other comments: when you backup using link, you can make a total of backup, or split this backup in three different databases (configuration |) Media | App Data). I always break that backup in three different databases that I can restore each separately because I had some problems with a full restore failing in the restoration of database App, so then I can safely restore only the settings and media.

  Remember, this process totally wipe your device, the backup is important.

  That said, it is relatively easy to do and your device will love.
