  My iMac features are:

  • 27-inch, late 2013
  • 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5 processor
  • 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory
  • Start drive Macintosh HD

  • Storage: 301,35 free GB of 999,35 GB

  Running currently on OS X El Capitan with Update Version 10.11.3 installed January 27, 2016

  Problem: I was on the purchase of 2016 Office for Mac and tried to install the update of El Capitan OS X 10.11.1 which is necessary to solve the problems with this version of Microsoft Office.  During installation, the following error message appears:

  "OS X El Capitan update cannot be installed on this drive. This volume does not meet the conditions required for this update".

  I would be very happy if someone can help me in installing this update.

  You are using a newer version of El Capitan that the updater contains and so cannot install it.

• WirelessKeyboardFilter_01 update cannot be installed because the file name is incompatible

  Several attempts to update Windows cannot install the patch for the Microsoft mouse "WirelessKeyboardFilter_01."

  The message I got was 'the WirelessKeyboardFilter_01 driver is not installed. and then

  . . . . "WirelessKeyboardFilter_01 is not a driver not fixed."

  Looking in the Device Manager, it displays an object named 'WirelessKeyboardFilter' without a driver, so I copied the WirelessKeyboardFilter_01 to WirelessKeyboardFilter.sys and the problem disappeared

  The name of the driver must be WirelessKeyboardFilter and not WirelessKeyboardFilter_01.

  Please note that this is no longer a problem, and I posted this title courtesy of Microsoft and others who have this problem.  To answer your question, I does no change after installation, and if there is no change, they made a series of Windows updates. This error was caused by a failed Windows Update (optional) listed without a KB number. I noticed the error in the event viewer.

  I should have mentioned that my desktop is Windows 7 Pro, installation of SP1 fresh in early June 2016.  I also had the same problem with a previous reinstall early April 2016. (Need to reinstall twice because both the boot SSD drive crashed and was replaced by the manufacturer). This link provides the details I posted on the Forums of Windows 7 after the first crash:

  I had a problem with updates on my Toshiba Satellite A200-W00 Machine. I have two specific updates that fail permanently.
  I have been in contact with Microsoft staff who sent me troubleshooting step by step to try, but I had no chance. These updates are:

  * Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 7 in Windows Vista (KB956390) *.

  * Update for Media Center for Windows Vista (KB955519) *.

  * Update for Windows Vista (KB953155) *.

  The problem description, I understand that several updates could not be installed and you have tried a few troubleshooting suggestions, but the problem persists. If there was any misunderstanding, let me know.

  1 start the computer and access to Windows Vista.
  2. Insert the Windows Vista DVD in the DVD drive of the computer.
  3. use one of the following procedures, as applicable:
  If Windows automatically detects the DVD, the now Setup screen. Click on install now.
  If Windows does not automatically detect the DVD, follow these steps:
  a. Click Start, click Run, type Drive: \setup.exe then click OK.
  Note: The drive is the drive letter of the computer's DVD.
  b. click on install now.
  4. When you reach the type of installation you want screen, click upgrade to upgrade the Windows Vista system files.
  Once finished, try to update again.

  However, Vista was preinstalled on my laptop and obviously I don't have the disk. Anyone knows where I can get hold of it or have the same problem with the similar updates. I tried to disable my antivirus, firewall, antispyware drive controls, clean ups etc and nothing.

  Then maybe your laptop was equipped with HARD drive recovery option?

• Virtual PC installation fails with "Windows Update cannot be installed because of the error 2149842967"

  I have two laptops Lenovo X 201.  An installed Virtual PC/Win XP fine mode, the other gives the following when installing Virtual PC update. ;     (I made the hardware, virtualization and the Windows XP mode prereqs)

  (1) throws a dialog box titled saying "stand-alone installation of Windows Update": "update is not applicable to your computer."

  (2) in the event viewer, you see this message:

  Windows Update could not be installed due to the error 2149842967 "' (command line:""C:\Windows\system32\wusa.exe" "D:\Downloads\Windows6.1-KB958559-x64-RefreshPkg.msu" ")

  (3) check in the registry for the following paths is identical between the two computers and recommended values

  HKEY_USERS\. DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

  (4) emptied the folder "C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp".

  (5) I do not receive the following symptoms

  (a) the low 'Register of space' error, sets the size of "unlimited" registry: so no need to change the registry setting

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control
  Key: RegistrySizeLimit

  Other thoughts?   What does error code 2149842967 mean?

  My TV does not have the new firmware on the net, I came back with the message that there is no new any firmware. I have 19.3.49.227 August 30, 2011, but there is 19.3.61.7 for UL863G of February 2012 on the toshiba site...

  When I extracted and this load on a USB key (I tried several) seems to upgrade (after click Yes) to start, the 'upgrade' popup appears but the progressbar control does not change and it comes back after a while with something as "upgrade file is not found.

  Any ideas?

  What 42UL863 do you have exactly?
  There are different TVs: 42UL863G, 42UL863B, 42UL863N, 42UL863R

  Make sure that you have taken the firmware for the series on the right!

  Here is a workaround (not recommended however).

  1. close Jdev
  2. open the junit_bundle.zip with a tool such as 7-zip.
  3. open to edit the META-INF/bundle.xml file and delete the required license associated with the tag line.
  4. save this file and update the zip with xml updated.
  5. start JDev and try to load the extension using the zip.

  Try to reset the App Store:

  Close the App Store completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and slide up the App Store preview pane until it disappears from the display. Then sign out of the iTunes Store (in the settings).

  Then perform a forced reboot. Hold down the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  Then reconnect to the iTunes Store.

  Also try by going to settings > general > Restrictions > and make sure that iTunes Store, Apps install, delete the Apps and In - App purchases are all under the section allow. Try to install again.

  I try to use the Microsoft Office tool that implement an MSI for 64-bit Office 2010 installation file.  The tool works file and creates the msi file.  I get to the tool by going to the x 64-bit folder on the office 2010 installation disc.

  I install a new virtual machine from Windows 7 and tried to use the MSI file to install office 2010 and I get the error:

  "The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded is may be missing or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program"

  If I just click Setup on the office 2010 dvd he moved very well on the same VM window7.

  Does anyone have an idea how do to understand why the windows installer keep fails or what he wants?

  If I click on the msi even on a system with office 2007 is installed, I get the same error.
