Update Cant Vista - glued
I have a HP DV6426us. Recently, I had a few problems, so I used the internal collection software and everything seems fine now. The only problem I'm having is that when I try to run windows update, windows opens and tells me that it is necessary to install updates and I click on install and nothing happens.
It acts as the window is locked and I have to use the Task Manager to close it. I left open for an hour and still nothing.
Anyone has any ideas what is wrong and how I can fix this problem?
Thank you
Open a command-line (as an administrator), type sfc/scannow, press enter and then leave the utility auditor of system files run. Sometimes, when a Windows laptop or PC operating system behaves unexpectedly the problem is a corrupted system file. Let the System File Checker inspect and replace all the corrupt files it finds.
Best regards
ERICO

Equium A210 - updates after Vista, I get a black screen
Recently installed updates for Vista, computer restsarted and the cursor appears and nothing other but also black screen! Went to recovery full, and it will not allow me to restore some time before I installed the updates!
How to do this without losing all data on the hard drive? Not worried about the programs, but you want to keep all my itunes and if I can't load vista I can't back up my library.
Help, please!
Hello
> Went to recovery full, and it will not allow me to restore some time before I installed the updates!
Not that this means that you have already tried the system restore function to a previous state, or what you have tried exactly? You can start in safe mode?
If this doesn t work and also the system to restore the previous state, I think that the only solution is to reinstall Vista or what do you think about this? I mean there is nothing more you can do.
You can back up your files if you put the HARD drive into an external HARD drive enclosure. Then, you can save data from it on another computer. That s pretty easy to verify this!

Messages to update Windows Vista 64-bit driver for Qosmio F30 Vista 32 bit
Hello
Today, I noticed that, update Windows Vista displays the bad update for one of the drivers of Qosmio F30.
I have Windows Vista 32-bit, but Windows Update post a 64 bit version of the driver.
See the screenshot [here: http://imagefilehost.googlepages.com/f30Wrongupdate.jpg]
Any idea?
Hmm... it's strange? :|
The ACPI from Toshiba x 64 compatible driver certainly means a 64-bit version!
I put t know why Vista driver update notification indicates a 64-bit to a 32 bit OS driver, but usually the 64-bit driver should not be compatible with the 32 bit OS.
However, the deal seems clear don t install if the pilot is not designed for your operating system.

Impossible to update Windows Vista
I was not able to receive updates for Vista for a while - took my "settings" system and it does not always help. Sometimes we'll sneak through but right now my message said: I have over 70 to download... very frustrating!
Mom2Dogs,
If you start Windows Update you get an error? Open Windows Update, click on 'View update history' and see when the last update was successfully installed. Are there updates failed? If so, double-click one and let us know what is the error code. What antivirus\firewall program are you running? Here are some troubleshooting Articles that you can try to start.

Q1: upgrade my Norton 360 V2 to V3... for a few months only of Norton 360...
Ah, I thought that this could be the case!
You can print the instructions below or copy / paste them into Notepad for consultation offline.
1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039
2. After completing some you have a copy of your handy product key, uninstall all software (including LiveUpdate and Add-ons of Norton) Norton through Control Panel | Programs | Uninstall a program (or Control Panel |) Programs and features, if you are using the classic view).
3 IMPORTANT! -Online turn on Windows Firewall immediately after the restart.
4. right click on the file that you saved in step #1 above, and then select run as administrator. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.
NB: Now you're "working without a net": no to ANYTHING else online (e.g., navigation, reading e-mail, chat) until you have completed steps #5 to #7 below!
5 reinstall Norton 360 v3 & restart to the command prompt.
6. ensure that the Norton firewall is enabled and the Windows Firewall is disabled now.
7. Run LiveUpdate manually and repeatedly until you get a prompt 'updates is no longer available.
8. now see if you can manually run Windows Update via the shortcut on the start menu.

With some Vista updates automatic Adobe Contribute and Photoshop 8 stop working until the moment where the programs must be uninstalled and reinstalled to operate again. After an automatic update, these two programs can be open to all, and an error message appears indicating that they must be reinstalled. Both programs are residing on a separate hard drive than the Vista operating system. This problem doesn't happen with every automatic update of Vista.
