Update card wifi dual band for dv6-6152nr

HP Pavilion dv6-6152nr can use the Wi - Fi Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6205 upgrade card? BIOS will accept this card? I read the manual and it says compatible, but not sure. Help, please.

Hello

That Advanced-N 6205 isn't in the manual as compatible. I think the best map is Intel WiMAX 6150 pn # 633817-001

http://www.eBay.com/ITM/HP-Compaq-633817-001-6150-Intel-N-WiMAX-612BNXHMW-Wireless-WiFi-Mini-Card-/300790282650

The Manual:

http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02842252.PDF

It is listed an Advanced - N 6230 Intel chip but the part number belongs to Centrino Wireless - N 1030 and so far no one has confirmed any chip Advanced-N 6230 working with a laptop Dv6-6000 series.

  • How to set up the AppleTV on WiFi dual band network

    Hello

At home, I have a modem/router double band in a Hitron CGN3 installed, providing 2.4 G and 5G wifi access. However, the dual band seems not suitable for airplay, because they cannot communicate with each other via the double frequencies.

    Devices in the House:

    AppleTV (3rd generation): 5 g

    iPhone 5 s #1 (version 9.3.4): 5 g

    iPhone 5 s #2 (version 9.3.4): 2.4 g

    Audio/video receiver: Wired Ethernet

    #1 laptop (windows 7, latest iTune): 2.4 G

    #2 laptop (windows 7, latest iTune): 2.4 G

    Questions and facts of communication:

    • iPhone 5 s #1 (on 5 G) can reach AppleTV (on 5 G) - very well, but the iPhone 5 s #2 (in 2. 4 g) cannot see the AppleTV (on 5 G)
    • All iPhones and iTunes on laptops can see the AV receiver (on Ethernet cable)
    • All iTunes on laptop computers (about 2. 4 g) cannot see the AppleTV (on 5 G)

In my view, that airplay should work in the same network. All my devices to connect to the same router/modem, just using WiFi dual bands. Could you please tell how to configure to activate devices on 2.4 G to see on 5G AppleTV using airplay? Except the resolution that I have to put all devices on 2. 4 g. My laptop does not support the network of 5G, BTW.

    Thank you very much.

    Po

Had a similar problem with my router Netgear of Virgin in Britain. My router has a network of comments rather than the two strips running on the same network, then the router has isolate traffic from 5 G to 2. 4 g. I connected to the interface of the router and changed the settings for everything, and it works.

A way to check see if you have different IP addresses on devices ranges. 5g is 192.168.0 and 2.4 g is 10.10.0

  • Update card Wifi dv6-6195

    SUP!

I want to spend my laptop (Intel Centrino Wireless N 1030) wifi card to a card dualband because my only current does not support dualband. I heard that some people bought cards that were supposed to be compatible, but not worked due to the limitations of the BIOS.

According to the user's manual (http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02842252.pdf) page 67, the Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6230 (631956-001) would be compatible with my computer (http://ark.intel.com/products/59472/Intel-Centrino-Advanced-N-6230-Dual-Band)

Can anyone confirm that this works with my BIOS?

    Here is some info:

    Product number: LY079UA #ABC

    OS: Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

    BIOS version: F.1B

    Thank you!

    Hi @shawn10,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand your concern, but if HP has tested and consider that the Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6230 (631956-001) would be compatible with your computer, then it should work.

I hope that this helps, please let me know how it goes.

Take care and have a great day!

    Hi there @Custerboy

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you are looking for an update for the WiFi card installed in your all-in-one. I'm happy to help you.

In looking at the options listed in the specifications for this model wireless:

HP ENVY 23-c115xt all-in-One product specifications and configurable Options

    These are the available choices:

    • Wireless 802.11b/g/n LAN featuring single-band (2.4 Ghz), 1 x 1

  • hp15go13: dual-band for hp 15-go13cl map

I have the HP15-go13cl and unable to connect to the 5 GHz band.

Can I replace the wireless card, which is a 2.4 ghz for a card with 5 GHz dual-band?

    Thank you.

Yes, you could but yours is part of the new wave of models that are very difficult to service. See page 55 of the manual here:

    Your manual

No wireless cards listed is a model of 5 ghz 2 x 2, but the good news is your doesn't have a whitelist BIOS so you can install any wireless card "half-height" pci - e of the same size as those "official."

I recommend this model of Broadcom

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/Broadcom-BCM94352HMB-Azurewave-AW-CE123H-WiFi-Bluetooth-4-0-combo-Mini-Card-/251892615722?_trksid=p2054897.l4275

Please be advised that enter into the bowels of the laptop put security at risk. If you go there and do it without hurting anything, fine, but HP won't bail you out under warranty.

  • Update card wifi in Pavilion P6-2302ea

    Hello

My PC is currently the Ralink RT5390R standard. I have fiber broadband that gives my other devices on 80mbps via wifi. However this PC, which is in the room next to the router receives only about 10 Mbps. I updated the driver, uninstalled/reinstalled nothing helps.

I have improved the wifi card in my HP laptop using their list of compatible wifi card for this laptop specific which was available on the subject is the support page.

The PC in question does not have this list published on the site and talking to someone at HP, they say that its out of warranty cover for them to give me the information! Ridiculous

So, does anyone know of all decent wifi cards that are compatible with the PC above?

    Thanks in advance!

If you want to really get the maximum bandwidth, and then install a PCI Express x 1 wireless card or a USB wireless dongle which is the 802.11ac specification. To ensure that you buy a card that is certified for the operating system you plan to install. Who will ensure that the drivers will be available for the card or the dongle.

Update your router that is able to use the specification 802.11ac wireless.

  • Update card WiFi?

I have a HP ENVY TouchSmart M7-J010DX laptop with Core i7 CPU Haswell and Intel Centrino Wireless N-2230 card.  Product number is E0K83UAR and I am running Windows OS 8.1.   Lately, I knew many opportunities when the laptop is unable to connect to a wireless network when connect other PC in the same room.  I should say especially, it connects, but "limited connectivity" and no Internet access.  I struggled during holidays a week for you to connect and then had a connection problem when I went home, where I already had no problem.  And I'm having this problem on networks that previously were not a problem.  I read on this forum that a lot of people have similar problems.  So, I would upgrade the map without wireless/bluetooth to something that is known to work more reliably.  I guess I have to stay in the Intel family.  I saw a recommendation for an Intel AC 7260 card, but would like more reviews.  Someone at - it upgraded successfully and have a strong recommendation to share?

    Thank you!

    Hello

As the laptop is an Intel based one I suggest to get an Intel wifi. Drivers updated Intel and on all Intel chips are the best on the market. You mentioned Intel 7260AC which I've been using (with router Asus RT-N66U) for a while. I could also recommend Intel 6235 as on another Intel chip. 2230 Intel's single-chip band (2.4 GHz only) and also causes a lot of questions. Intel has even recognized the problems and released 16.0.0 drivers that should have it fixed.

  • Tecra M5 - update card WiFi

I installed W7 X 64 Enterprise on my Tecra M5 (PTM51A), installed 4 GB of memory. Now, I want to spend the WiFi at N300 with a WiFi card that will load the drivers. I tried an Intel 5100 ABGN (not the Toshiba PA3655U-MPC version), but it won't work. I can only conclude the Tecra is looking for their version.

For me & other question: What wireless N300 cards will install?

    Thanks Johnp4216

Problem is that officially updated WLAN card is not supported, and unfortunately there is no info about it. On this forum, you will find number of threads with the same theme. If you have time try using the advanced search option and check if you can find some info on the update of the WLAN card.

    > What should I do to fix?
Maybe a stupid comment from me, but noting is broken and cannot be fixed. Problem is hardware compatibility. If some piece of hardware is not compatible, it will not work.

As far as I know that these improvements are not supported by Toshiba and if you want to have fast WLAN connectivity and the most recent I recommend you use the USB (USB WLAN key) solution.
