UPDATE FLASH - UNWANTED SOFTWARE

I had to FLASH so it works on some sites.

The UPDATE installed McAfee without my consent!

I DON'T WANT MCAFEE ON MY SYSTEM!

There is NO solution to this except to UNINSTALL the #$%! thing.

This is just a warning to those who upgraded their FLASH.

There are many of us who wonder the same thing. Just look forward to the day that video resumes HTML5 and Flash slowly withers away and dies. It is to the top of my list of Courland - yep, I meant Courland - people or things that I want to spit on a gesture of farewell from the grave.

BTW, take a look at this 2nd Adobe Flash download page where the selected option is Google Chrome.

Mac Book Pro, OS X 10.9.5.

On 3 June 2016, I received a notice to update software for my Brother printer. Driver version 4.0. I don't remember if I downloaded it in fact. Then I went on the site of brother and checked for the last update which proved be driver version 4.5. I have successfully downloaded that. On 10 June, I received a software update for the old driver version 4.0 again. I don't want to install an older driver, but I can't get rid of the nagging update notice. Too late, it got installed when I was composing this message. So, if I reinstall the 4.5 update and I get another message of updated software for the 4.0 update, how do I get rid of him?

When I select the update of the software community, he rises to the Windows software and I can't change it.

I used to get update notifications for flash. I uninstalled it and now they don't bother me. And updates to OS normal mac, can be disabled app store mac settings.

In your case, I can say, try to delete the brother driver and install again, if it you nags once more.

  • Updates with the unwanted software?

Why do I have to deal with unwanted software (i.e. "optimize your PC" - with its mafia warnings from my mistakes of registry - and "24/7 Support" and toolbar AVG.) It is a real nuisance, headaches and was my precious time!

    Don Ross

    Don,

It's business, pure and simple. Adobe Reader, Flash Player, Shockwave and AIR are free products. Well, as anyone in business will tell you, "there no free lunch." Adobe pays people to develop and update these products and then gives them to the public without charge. Someone has to pay for it, so they enlist authors, such as McAfee and Norton, or in some cases offering downloads of the trial of paid software from Adobe in the hope that the Downloader will try, like it and buy it.

The alternative is punch a number of credit card and then forking over $10 or more to get the latest update. I really want to do all the six weeks (more often for me because I use a LOT of Adobe software). I seriously doubt that you would like to be.

This is a simple "uncheck" the box and do not download the software of the sponsor. I read hundreds of posts here of people who "do not have the time" to uncheck the box... and yet they have the time to create an Adobe ID, log, find the right forum and then after a hangover "do not have the time" to uncheck a box during an update or download.

Do not 'of bagging on you"... just pointing out the reality of the situation.

8.0 on windows. Flash has completely stopped working. Flash update does nothing, the uninstall and reinstall flash does nothing. He also tells me that she has been "disabled for my safety" because I use an 'outdated' version even if I've just updated it. How can I fix it?

There are 2 versions of Adobe Flash:

    • an ActiveX version for IE only
    • a plug-in version for most of the other browsers including Firefox
    • On a Windows system, you must always update both individually.

You don't seem to have the Plugin for Firefox installed version. If you did, in the Add-ons > Plugins you would see "Shockwave Flash (version)". If 'Shockwave Flash' is there and is disabled, click on the button "activate". NOTE: Yes, I saw that you said it has been disabled. The current version just came out a few days ago is 11.1.102.55.

  • Update Flash seems to have bricked my phone; Please do not laugh

I am at a loss here.

So last night I was watching Netflix and YouTube, and the next thing I knew, that Norton NIS started popping up warnings multiple 'Rootkit blocked', and then YouTube stopped working. It seemed that the Flash drive is malfunctioning. It would show a black box empty when the video is, and I would be with the right button on it, I would say just "will not charged animation" in the context menu.

After a few minutes of YouTube not working not at all, I got a dialog box install a Flash update, which usually occurs at startup. Made sense, so I clicked on it, but it does not solve anything. Norton skipped a few messages more "blocked Rootkit' identical and then pops up a message that"reboot is required to continue fixing your computer."

I did backup my most important info, so I'm not completely stupid, but everything as I figured, once I hit the restart, the computer itself in bricks. It won't start Windows. I get an error message, then a screen dialog black BIOS or the POST or what you call asking "start Windows normally" or in "repair" mode Starting loops normally just back to the same error and repair mode dialog asking the boot floppy, which I cannot find at the moment.

Now, if that were the only problem, it's one thing, but here's the real problem:

That treat everything with Flash broken on YouTube and then Flash attempts to upgrade and Norton NIS misunderstanding the Flash update for a rootkit... it's going on my second computer now. I'm not going to run a Flash update, and I'm in no hurry to even restart the computer more, until I understand what just happened here.

If anyone can help me? What could happen?

    It is a 220 X.

Well, thank you for all the answers; There everything went well enough. It seems it was well a virus masquerading as a updated Flash, and I'm inclined to think that it happened because I jumped with months and months of Windows updates.

I had been using a SSD cloned, so I dropped my old drive hard in and went from there, install all Windows updates and antivirus updates. I used a separate computer to scan the SSD infected on a USB adapter, and it turned a simple virus "trogan.gen". Once it has been cleaned, I ripped all my new files on a separate hard drive and wiped the SSD and then used to clone the hard disk again. Back in business.

I guess I could have tried to rescue the SSD without having to shoot anything, but it's so much easier to clone the HDD again, given that I had no new paid software.

  • Pop - Up Ads and request to update Flash Player

I did a free trial of mechanic systems and ID Vault.  He was supposed to clean up my computer and run faster.  Couldn't tell any difference, so I uninstalled both.  Now, I constantly get pop up ads and continues to receive the request to update Flash Player.  Can I do something to stop this?  It drives me crazy.  I'm not a technical person so keep things simple.  I just want to use my computer without outside interference.  Help, please!

    Edith

    Hello, Edith,.

There are a number of things to try. First try this free software: download, install, and run the cleaning for the browser Avast from here: http://download.cnet.com/Avast-Browser-Cleanup/3000-2144_4-75872295.html .

Who should take care of the pop-up ads. Now for what is already downloaded on your system, try these freeware antimalware scanners:

    Malwarebytes': http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html.

    Super AntiSpyware: http://download.cnet.com/SuperAntiSpyware-Free-Edition/3000-8022_4-10523889.html .

Then I would run a scan in depth with your antivirus scanner. Don't have one? I use and recommend Avast for free: http://download.cnet.com/Avast-Free-Antivirus/3000-2239_4-10019223.html .

Let me know if this solve the problem for you.

    Kind regards

    Hello

Thanks for the update.  I am happy that you were able to get installed it.  Always curious to know why the EXE file does not download.  Have you checked your security settings, or maybe anti-anti-virus/firewall settings?

  • I tried to update flash player and when I put my password, it is rejected.  I recently updated my email address and changed my password, but adobe will not accept.  Can I get help, please, update flash player?

I tried to update flash player and when I put my password, it is rejected.  I changed my e-mail and password and notice to adobe, but I am still unable to install the flash player update.  How can I update adobe flash?

This password is presented by your operating system and is designed to prevent you from accidentally installing the software.

If it comes to your personal computer and you don't need a password to connect to the computer when it first starts, you can probably leave the password blank and click OK to go to this prompt.  If it comes to your personal computer and your normal password does not work, make sure that CAPS LOCK SHIFT is off, and then type the password carefully.

If this is your work machine and he asks an administrator password, well, you will need to have a conversation with your computer friendly.

  • Unable to update flash player on android Tablet

I have two android tablets.  one, recently acquired is a DX 752 iRola.  Trying to play some flash games on pogo.com - tells me that the flash player is outdated.   When I click on update, I get to the Games Shop and adobe applications.   I'm not allowed to update flash player as adobe seems more eager to my games to purchase my software updated.   I never have this problem on a real computer, laptop, or desktop.

This turns ver 4.2.2 tablet.   I don't know what version of Chrome for chrome says it is obsolete, but don't tell me the version.   I can't update the chrome browser because they want me to buy the games and apps and allow me to update the browser unless I do.

My other Tablet has the same question.

all in all it was a salutary experience.

In addition, I had to reset my password to adobe and then re-sign in after trying to post a question that I made above.

In my opinion not good customer service.

If you look at the list at http://www.adobe.com/devnet-apps/flashruntimes/certified-devices.html , you will see that there are not more Flash Player for Android versions after 4.0.4

    P.S., Adobe sells all games.

  • Why can't update Flash player give me a good file download to be able to update?

The file that I get when I click on update Flash Player in Firefox addons is: flashplayer_18_gd_install.exe, which will display an unknown Publisher, and when I click on it to install, fails with an error of initialization. See the attached screenshots.

    OS: Windows XP (Pro)
    Firefox browser
    Outdated Flash Player 17.0.0.169 (updated)
    New file to download: lashplayer_18_gd_install.exe,.

Addtl Note: I noticed, I can't perform certain tasks such as search, defrag, or 'Manage' due to missing files, but Malwarebytes and AVAST do not detect intrusions at all.

Hi, you could try if installers https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html adobe offline work instead.

Did not work. Error: the file is not a valid Win32 application.

UPDATE: I went back to this file to download some time later, clicked on it, and installed without error. I must have initially tried to install before the download was complete.

  • I can't update Flash player. What I am doing wrong?

I can't update Flash player. What I am doing wrong?

I currently have version 21, 22 version is the latest.  I get.

"Adobe Flash Player could not be installed."

I did the troubleshooting steps below. Everything is good, as I can tell.

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Player/KB/enabling-Flash-Player-Firefox.html

My Shockwave Flash is set, 'always on '.

I ran the Adobe flash installer which seems to be successful. Then, I tried a new facility, still no joy.  (He did remove Flash Player version 21, now I have nothing.)

    Suggestions appreciated

Firefox could block Flash because of security concerns.

Because of security problems in older versions, Apple has

updated the web plugin blocking mechanism to disable all

earlier versions of Flash Player, 22.0.0.192 and 18.0.0.360.

Information on web blocked plug-ins will be posted to:

    http://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT202681

The question you should ask is why you have Flash installed. You don't need Flash. If you have not installed Flash, videos will play in HTML5. If the video requires Flash, you can use Google Chrome to play.

From Sierra, Safari will be is more said websites common plug-ins are installed. It does this by not including not information on Flash, Java, Silverlight and QuickTime

  • Update hardware and software Qosmio G30-198 for hight performance

    Hello

    I have a Qosmio G30-198.

I have to use Autodesk Civil 3D program in the laptop.
This is a CAD program that requires a lot of ram and a transmission of data high-speed HARD drive.
To do this, it is absolutely necessary to update hardware and software for civil use with good performance.

I need to buy and install HDD SSD, install more RAM (which is the maximum allowed in this computer?) and I need to install Win 7 Professional 64 bit.

    Please,

If anyone can tell me how I can further improve the performance of the laptop, please tell me.
I don't know what steps I need to keep.

    Can you help me?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

The RAM can be expanded up to 4 GB
As far as I know this laptop supports the Intel® 945 PM Express chipset and supports this chipset may 4 GB of RAM

The HDD or SSD drive update shouldn't be a big problem.
Usually the built in SATA controller should be able to manage the common SATA SSDS
