update graphics on slimline s3700y

I can through my computer graphics / amd athlon x 2 5000 + 2.60 ghz / 320 Premium/Vista 3 GB hard

Hello

I checked the desktop HP Pavilion Slimline s3700y PC specification. There card mother acacia, which has integrated video. This motherboard has a PCI Ex 16 free location. You can install a PCI Ex 16 graphics card.

This computer has power 160W. Please ensure that the graphics card you want to install will support maximum 160 W power supply. In this case, if you have a graphics card that needs to be able to provide more 160 w, you will need to upgrade the power supply as well. Ex: If the graphics card requires a power of 300 W, then move your computer's power supply to 300 w.

Hope this information helps you.

Thank you.

With respect,

One of the HP technician.

    Hello

In General, update graphics on laptops is not possible.

If so, is there a way to install a dedicated graphics card? i.e. the pcie? Could someone please advise if there are institutions in the machine to upgrade my graphics?

My gratitude in advance for any help.

In General, update graphics card is not supported and cannot be done.
Toshiba has written about it in http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm

A common problem with portable mobile is the heat and to built the effective cooling system. Each laptop has optimized cooling system. More powerful graphics card will produce more heat, and this balanced hardware platform will not properly work. Can result in permanent damage from overheating or material.

Maybe stupid comment now, but if you need more powerful your laptop sell on eBay and buy a new one.

  • Problems updating graphic adapter Intel Corporation - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1 WDDM1.2,

    Hello!

I have several lenovos windows 7 with this update

Problems updating graphic adapter Intel Corporation - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1 WDDM1.2,

I'm trying to fix it with the original driver?

    all the solutions out there?

    THX

    Peter

You can download the driver from the Intel website (search on your model number of graph, then Windows 7), read the notes first check it is correct for your hardware, uninstall the graphics drivers (Windows will return to a default basic driver), restart and install the new drivers.

If this does not work, the Lenovo Web site will be older (but certified to work) drivers for your system model.

  • allocate space by updating graphic

    Hey all,.

I was wondering if there is a way to update graphic while allowing space for the table so that it will be more efficient calculation.

the method I always used was build in a time / loop and an array of generation that concatenates and have a graph set inside the loop. It seems to be slugging my computer because it takes a long time for labview open other programs later.

My question is, is it possible to allocate space AND have the graphic update each time? I know that I can initialize an array and replace the elements in the table, but then my chart is filled with zeros. any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

If you initialize your array with NaN instead of 0, you will not have visible padding in your chart.

You can also watch to see if a chart fits your needs better than a graph.  Graphics built in buffers and display the most recent values for x.  You can change the size of the buffer.

I can't find updated graphic drrivers to date anywhere. Where can I find the updated graphics drivers? I have an Intel graphics card, and I have tried (almost) everything.

Sorry, but HP is only provide drivers for Windows 7 on this model. Windows update should offer a driver for Intel HD integrated graphics card on your computer.

  • Initialization with NaN effects update graphic

    Hello

Interesting find, thought I share. It would be interesting to know a difficulty that I have tried!

I've initialized a table with 240 000 elements using NaN. Simply, I used "Replaced Array" fuction to replace the individual item and built graphic Group XY XY. It all works but!

Interestingly, the entire vi could slow down until every element of the NaN is replaced. Once all the elements are replaced, the appellant vi would update the UI as usual.

If I replace NaNs with 0 in the initialization stage, then there is no problems of speed and performance. However, I get horizontal lines to 0 for all channels, which is the reason why I use NaNs to avoid this false representation of signals.

Is this a known issue with NaNs and the fix for that?

    Thank you very much

    Waris K

Last year, I noticed a similar slowdown with updates graphics if NaNs are involved. (discussed elsewhere, not public).

Under certain conditions, NaN causes slowdowns in 32-bit programs. I wonder if 64-bit LabVIEW show the same problem?

You can try VLC Player. It of absolutely free and supports more file formats.

  • Power supply with updated graphics card update

I am considering buying the HPE-150 t with an improved graphics card standard:

1 GB ATI Radeon HD 5770 [2 DVI, HDMI, DP, VGA adapter]

I went on http://support.asus.com/PowerSupplyCalculator/PSCalculator.aspx?SLanguage=en-us to the appropriate power needed for this gauge system, and it recommends a minimum 450 Watt power supply.

If I ended up buying the HPE-150 t with updated graphics card, I get a power supply improved to compensate for the increase of energy consumption?

Here are the specs of your motherboard.  It indicates a 350 Watt PSU.  However, if you scroll down to hardware options, you will see a 460 watt power supply associated with the 5770 video card.

  • Graphics card on pavilion slimline s3700y can be improved

I'm trying to find a way to upgrade this computer to play newer games.

    Marepbm, welcome to the forum.

The truth is, Slimline models are not intended to be upgraded.  Their small business do not allow for good air circulation.  This will create too much heat.  Heat is your enemy.  A video card that would work with the power supply (PSU), would be much better than the integrated video.  Therefore, I do not make recommendations.  I know that's not what you wanted to hear.  However, I do not think that you would see enough performance win to justify the extra expense.

Graphics cards and processors are welded on and are specially selected for the system.  Even the most tech savvy people would find it very difficult, if possible.

  • Qosmio G40 - update graphics card

    Hello world

I know it works has already answered in October 2009, but I have a few not 100% course info on the upgrade of the graphics cards. Now I have a qosmio g40-10 with nvidia geforce 8600 with 512 video memory. Because this card is purely not enough for the high-end gaming today, I want to update at least 1 GB of video memory. Like many people here, I tried to find some information online but its just waste of time. I asked in each PC store in my town this topic and 60% of them responded that it is possible, but it will cost you so.

They could not tell exactly witch card should take but logically it will be nvidia series that were used by Toshiba manufacter, what I'll do I will find some young model of Toshiba nvidia cards and will just try to adapt it. Logically that laptops Toshiba chassy is almost the same, of course mounting screws can be different, but ultimately, it's a project. The only problem is the motherboard, I heard that this motherboard is unable to accept certain graphics cards.

If you have some info on this please let me know.
Also different (highest card) coz, there will be cooling problem so if you have ideas to solve heating, please share it with me.
    Thanks much adrian

    Hello Adrian

I guess that you know very well that the possibilities of upgrade on mobile units are very limited; especially GPU or CPU upgrade and laptop manufacturers offer don t any kind of support. Because of the design specific common problem for mobile units is cooling system. More performance means more heat and more heat, compromised of portable computer hardware switch or damage.

Manufacturers of portable don t support cela and don offers t any helpful info about it. GPU upgrade in my opinion is not a good idea. OK, you can do with your laptop that you want and play a little bit, but I'm afraid that your project is too risky and will not end with success of m.

If you need a more powerful computer I think it's time for the new portable computer with more powerful hardware. What you think so.

I went to the page dowload drivers Toshiba and searched for a new driver, but the "youngest" driver I found is from 2008.

Any advice on how to update the graphics driver will be much appreciated.
