  You are able to install some other updates?

  I suggest you follow these methods and check.

  Method 1: Run the fixit.

  The problem with Microsoft Windows Update is not working:

  Method 2: Run the clean boot and install the updates.

  To do this, follow the steps in this link:

  NOTE: After you check the clean boot feature configure Windows to use a Normal startup using step 7 proposed in the above mentioned link.

  If the method above does not work, proceed to the next method.

  Method 3: download and install the Cumulative update for Media Center for Windows Vista (KB982480) from this link.

  Method 4: Rename the Software Distribution folder.

  Rename the temporary Windows Update Software Distribution folder. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Open an administrative command prompt window.
  2. Run the following commands and press ENTER after each command:
  3. 1. Net stop wuauserv
     2. CD %SystemRoot%\System32
     3. Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
     4. Net start wuauserv
  4. Try to install updates again.

  Important: When you use this method, the following problems occur:

  ·         Updates that are currently downloaded but which have not yet been installed must be downloaded again by using Windows Update or Microsoft Update.

  ·         When you remove the Software Distribution folder, your download history is deleted.

  ·         If you currently receive updates from Microsoft Update and Windows Update, you will need to reselect this option from the Windows Update Web site.

  Note If the problem is resolved and you can successfully download and install the updates, you can safely remove the SoftwareDistribution.old folder to recover disk space.

  I tried to install the updates for Illustrator, but now I get the same error.

  "Adobe Illustrator CC update (version 17.1.0) x 64

  There was an error of installation of this update. Quit and try again later. "Error code: U44M1P34.

  I've uninstalled and reinstalled Illustrator twice, in the hope that this will solve the problem, but with not much luck.

  What can I do else? Please, any help would be welcome.

  This error comes usually when you move the adobe folder to the other location on root drive and try to update the application. I suggest you to uninstall the application and delete all files from adobe. Restart your machine and install the application again and check for updates. It should work.

  I've been struggling for weeks to try to get my computer Windows 7 update to Windows 8.1. It is not interesting to go in full history frustrating because I gave the update and now I just try to start over again. The recent measures and current situation is as follows:

  1 PC is powerful enough with i7 and 16 GB chip.

  2. new SSD this week.

  2. freshly downloaded Windows 8 Pro ISO burned to a DVD and checked.

  3 Ran install successfully and signed using my Microsoft Account.

  4 tried Windows Store for Windows 8.1, but said I need updates.

  4 Ran Windows Update in Control Panel.

  5. Windows update found 127 updates and they failed with error code 80248007.

  I don't understand how I can get these failures with a new facility.

  Glad you got it going... If I had to guess, it was very likely updates .net 3.5, which has caused the problem... or maybe, Net 4.5...

  They require a process runs to complete their installation that seems to start running in the middle of updates remaining to try to install...

  I added a partition of Lion to my 10.6.8 boot disk. In Lion, I can't access all the volume 10.6 Adobe programs. Most of the other applications I checked run when it is called.

  So, I installed 5.5 on partition, and get this message when I try to update 5.5-"update is not applicable. Error code: U44M1P28".» 10.6.8 volume has the 7.5.1 applied update. Now, 5.5 in Leo tells me that there is a missing plugin, so I tried uninstalling/reinstalling 5.5 three times to run the update and get this message every time.

  Error code 80070005 means generally that you're not quite allowed to install updates. Access may be denied if you have logged on to the computer as a standard user and this account does not have permission to install updates.
