Update of Finger Print (biometrics). Simple pass ID

I wonder how to get the improved software for simplepass digital persona software that will work with the latest version of Firfox browser. Pavilion dv7 entertainment system (4177nr). Windiws 7 OS

Hello

Short answer:

There is no such beast.

You can remove all messages in the forum and look for the best options - and it still doesn't work.

It's sad, really.

Firefox 3.6.x works, that's the good news.

I hope this helps!

Initially, the cell will have the recovery Partition and that would give you an option to create a recovery disk set. If you have not created these recovery discs when the laptop was in working condition we can do right now

From now if you need to recover your laptop through the new operating system, you can check if the recovery Partition

is a condition in a work, or not, if yes you can easily recover/restore your laptop

If the recovery Partition is corrupted

You need to call HP Support and demand for a set of recovery disks, then you can recover/restore your laptop at the earliest

    OR

You need to call Microsoft and buy an operating system with the license key, so that you can recover/restore your laptop at the earliest

  • HP Simple pass does not properly.

I just bought a HP Envy 17 TS last Friday. And the finger print scanner does not work properly. On the basis of the recommendations of the Forum of Microsoft, I deleted and updated drivers for both the pass Simple biometric and HP.

Here's the situation. HP Simple pass works for passwords of website and all but don't work try to use it to connect to windows itself. However, if I uninstall use the print and Pass Simple unlock this 8.1 of Windows has its own, it works. Pass Simple to reinstall and it stops working again.

    dmcbain,

    Welcome to the HP Forum.

There are a lot of Envy 17 over there - I think left, unsaid and you details give a better idea - it should be sufficient because they are similar in nature (structure and file locking).

It is likely that your laptop came with HP SimplePass version 8.x installed - it's the Softex version and it should work pretty well, and he would be able to get along with native login provided with Windows 8.1.

You could try the following to see if you can get things back in order.

Reminder: For best results, do not skip a recommended reboot sequence.

    • Make sure that all of your Windows updates are complete and up-to-date.  This is essential.  On a new system, it takes a few laps and restarts.  Once updates are complete, you can, if you like to put updates 'Notification' for the future.  If you install a new Windows updates, restart the laptop.
    • If you install the framework, reboot the laptop and connect
    • Start > type anywhere 'rebecca' or Recovery Manager >
    • Click here to start the Recovery Manager > under "I need immediate help" >
    • Drivers and reinstall Applications > find and reinstall your driver fingerprint sensor fingerprint validity
    • Close all your programs and shut down your computer
    • Unplug everything (little unifying for the keyboard / mouse external can stay)
    • Perform the Hard Reset for your laptop
    • Start the computer and connect

Consider: you can probably run the version of HP SimplePass 6.x on this system - it is AuthenTec version, fully functional in terms of features and support webcards and Windows logon, too.

See the following to download and install HP SimplePass version 6.x.  You can skip the part about reinstalling your fingerprint driver - you have completed this step.

    Dulao35,

    Welcome to the HP Forum!

When start you / see: Easy going on?

You may be running HP SimplePass Version 8.0.0.57 or some other SimplePass 8.x?

    ======================================================================================

You can run HP SimplePass Version 6.x later on your computer.  You may also be able to get SimplePass version 8.x if you want to stay with this version to work.  It's a personal choice, really - either version should be able to work on Windows 8 Pro.

Note that the version 8.x SimplePass seems to dislike everyone, but the Internet Explorer browser. This is a personal observation and NOT what can known by other users.  If you use IE, then the point is moot.

You can probably keep your existing driver of the fingerprint (Validity Sensor in the Device Manager) as long you run the version compatible with Windows 8, illustrated to the webpage of your computer driver:

    Hi @streetrod2 ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your HP ENVY 17 t j000 Notebook and having issues with the software of HP SimplePass.  Thanks for all the information, it is very useful to know what you've already tried. I would say to uninstall HP SimplePass and reinstalled the latest version for Windows 8.1.

    Hope it suits it.

    Thank you.

  • Simple pass?

I have a 15 Enty with simple pass. How can I add an another delete print, finger the current an etc. It does not recognize, accept my fingerprint never. He never has. I had to drag like 3 times the first time to accept.

    Joe,

    Welcome to the HP Forum.

How to add another finger maybe somewhat depend on which version of SimplePass is executed.

In general, the following might work for the series 6 or 8 of the series running Windows 8.x:

Windows key > type anywhere pc > click PC settings > accounts > Sign-in Options >

Under the fingerprint > add another

I think you can also restore the current finger in this way - don't know if you can 'remove' a finger.   I'm not ready to test it at the moment.  The smile.

  • Problems of simple pass with Windows 8.1

I just bought a HP ENVY TouchSmart m7-j010dx Notebook PC running Windows 8.0 about 5 days ago. I was able to configure Simple Pass, scan and add numbers and associated passwords. Then I upgraded to Windows 8.1. Now, I am unable to open SimplePass, add extra finger scans, or change the settings since the last update to Windows 8.1.

I tried to re - install the program as a function of repair. It works by welcoming and accepting a fingerprint at the opening. When I click on the program in my Start menu as it begins to open, load databases, then disappears.

I then uninstalled Pass Simple and re-installed after you download it again from HP at this link:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-122818-1 & CC = US & DLC = in & LC = in...

During the installation, there was a message needed me true API (x 64), which found the program installation and re-installed and then installed http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63001-63500/sp63224.exe

After you have reinstalled successfully Simple version 6.0.100.276, I rebooted my computer. However, the program is still not fully functional. I still can't open SimplePass, add extra finger scans, or change the settings. I am able to connect to Windows with a fingerprint, but he didn't ask me for analyses when I connect to different web sites.

I'd appreciate the help. Thank you.

    See you soon,.

This message is for everyone who has problems SimplePass with Windows 8.1.

Christopher of Jeff, executive relationship at the Head Office of Hewlett - Packard Company contacted me personally after I had tried for 5 five months get HP to fix this. I submitted to a team climbs HP Case Manager, who offered me the following options:

    # 01 Fix my computer free of charge. This shipment of the machine to them and the possability that I could lose data if they need to restore the operating system. I would be also without the computer.

    # 02 Give me a free 3 year warranty extension on my current computer which includes a home service on some components, but not the motherboard and cover against accidental damage.

    # 03 Give me an equivalent model new HP laptop computer with extended warranty of 3 years including in-home services and coverage against accidental damage. For this, restoring them my old computer AFTER transfer of programs and data to the new machine files. It was suggested that I go to the HP online store and browse the available templates. They also indicated that they would be willing to make minor improvements if my exact specifications are no longer available.

I am sure that these same choices could and should be available to ANYONE who also had these same problems very frustrating and annoying. After all, we all paid an additional amount for software and SimplePass fingerprint scanning equipment and are entitled to expect that it works with all versions of Windows 8.

If, as I have, you have also made several attempts to get this problem resolved by HP, Best Buy, Microsoft, or any other third party, without success, try to contact Jeff Christopher directly at [email protected].

I hope that this could finally solve this problem, and everyone gets the same fair and equal treatment that was offered to me.

I must also congratulate HP to finally take a step upward, appropriating and goes the extra mile to resolve this problem. Accordingly, my view of HP and my loyalty to them, increased considerably.

    See you soon,.

  • HP simple pass no longer works with chrome or internet explore

Suddenly, I can use is no longer Simple past to open a session on a BOA online account.  When I slide my finger, a message indicates that simple pass launches the address but nothing happens and the website does not open.

Provided simple pass with my laptop HP Pavilion DV6T - 7000 CTO with a 64-bit operating system.

I am currently using windows 7.

Google Chrome is my default search engine, but I also use IE occasionally.  Previuosly when my Pass Simple worked, my position of BOA opened only in Internet Explorer.

    Hi bobbinfv,

I see that you are having problems with the fingerprint on your laptop reader. It is quite possible that was caused by an update that is mentioned in this document. Impossible to connect to Windows with SimplePass fingerprint reader

It includes instructions on how to restore the previous driver of the device. If this does not help then try the following:

  • HP Simple Pass only allows the connection to Web site but works

Simple passage no longer works to log on to the Web site.  The program itself works and when I slide it opens upward new Web sites in another window, but is no longer prompting me or allow me to use it to connect to Web sites.  This started when I reset my settings of IE9 (which I did because all of a sudden, I couldn't open new tab or new websites).  Internet options reset fixed the problem of navigation, but then I could no longer use simple past.  I did a system restore, which fixed the issue simple pass, but then reinstated in the navigation of the show, so I undid the restoration.  There must be a setting on internet options that is initially simple past to no longer work, but I can't understand it.  Please help because after using simple pass for the last 2 years, I don't remember my password!  Thank you!

Hmm... I really don't know what the SimplePass old interface looks like - it's been a long time I saw that and now I can't access a machine with something older than SimplePass 5.4.0.620

The new version you are installing is to install an "overload", in other words, you will not remove anything.  You can install the new version and not the export/backup after the installation.

After updating to the new Version:

Export is something you want to do from time to time that you add or update your webcards (Web sites / passwords).

If you don't like the idea of the hard reset driver (described previously), Dungeon it bothers me for later - the driver Hard Reset works for all kinds of 'weird' tangles: sudden SimplePass strangeness, errors "funny screen" touch touch which cease to operate or act funny, sometimes even webcams (although these can be a little tricky to fix).

For this operation - the SimplePass upgrade, you can just kick the driver Validity Sensor itself.  Reset of driver is a good idea when installing SimplePass - it "opens", so to speak, the installation of the software is more likely to go well.

Reinstall the existing validity sensor driver:

Open Control Panel > Device Manager > open biometric devices >

Right click on your validity sensor driver > Uninstall ( NOT delete)

Reboot the laptop in a way the pilot can relocate that you connect to

    Then,.

Download this new package SimplePass and double-click it to install just above your current version - that is to say, do not remove your software SimplePass existing, just load this version on top of what you have now.

    sp59664 HP SimplePass V6.0.100.257 Win7-8

After you have upgraded to the latest version of SimplePass, you will be able to see the settings, Options, and '? '. Help sections in 'Splash', i.e. SimplePass when you open it.

    In addition to the export:

You can PRINT ON your webcards.  This carries some risk; the question of the use of SimplePass is to preserve the security of your passwords.  However, if you are in danger to forget or lose your password, you can print the list.  Printing will take about 95% of the words of past, or so... true make sure you keep the list printed somewhere safe.

Start SimplePass > Options (between the parameters 'wheel spikey' and the '? ') > print all web cards

  • DV6 Finger Print Reader unrecognized or does work not

After restoring my laptop (Pavilion dv6-6121tx) a few days ago, I decided to get the most recent drivers.
I stopped to do, I upgraded HP Simple upgrade to version 6.0 (this version was not listed in the drivers for my laptop, I found it on the AuthenTec Web site).
Surprisingly, he did not detect my fingerprint reader.
so I decided to uninstall it and install the 5.3 version (this version is listed in the drivers for my laptop on the HP website)

and even once it does not recognize my device.
so I uninstall this version and went back to the old version 4.3 and still the problem was not solved.
Finally, I uninstalled HP Simple Pass and validity sensor driver. and reinstalled using the typical recovery manager "reinstall drivers and applications.
    It still does not work!

Whenever I uninstalled it a version, I deleted my identity with him.
and my fingerprint reader does not even appear in the Device Manager. However, it is an unknown device listed, but I'm not sure if its my finger print reader.

Ask for any other information you need...
    even ready for assistance remotely.
any help would be greatly appreciated...

    Yay for me...
    Finally, it solved my self...
Remove data from print finger, uninstalled the driver both col simple, rebooted my computer laptop and then installed the driver... reboot again, installed Simple pass... and viola! its been...
BTW use validity sensors version 4.3.304 and HP Simple Pass 6.0.100.252
