Update of the Macbook Pro 13 inch i7 (mid-2012) worm.

Dear Apple community

Greetings,

I would like to know your opinion about the upgrade to the Macbook Pro 13 inch (mid-2012) i7 2.9 worm. by the following:

1. replace the stock HARD 750 GB to a Samsung EVO 850 SSD 1 TB drive in the link below

cm_cr_pr_product_top http://www.Amazon.com/Samsung-2-5-inch-Internal-MZ-75E250B-am/DP/B00OAJ412U/Ref=? ie = UTF8

2. replace the stock RAM memory which is 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) in the link below

http://www.Amazon.com/crucial-DDR3L-1600-PC3-12800-CT2K8G3S160BM-CT2C8G3S160BM/d p/B008LTBJFW/ref = sr_1_1? ie = UTF8 & qid = 1450...

I know that apple says that 8GB is the maximum RAM.

is it OK to do? ? (System and stability not wise not hardware wise)

will I have problems with the system after the upgrade? ?

I had done a lot of research about this, but am not sure yet.

your help is highly appreciated

Thanks in advance

Best regards

I would avoid the Samsung SSD.  If you analyze these forums, many users have experienced difficulties with the Samsung SSD.  (Some are not)  Note that Samsung is unable to talk about Mac compatibility on their web site.  I think what to say.

I can recommend Crucial SSD based on my experience in the installation of three of them in my Mbps.   OWC SSDS have an excellent reputation.

I support the Crucial RAM.  I have 16 GB of Crucial RAM installed in two of my Mbps.  16 GB of RAM should present no problems for your MBP.  OWC is also a great salesman of RAM Mac compatible.

Ciao.

    Hello...

I im experiencing some major performance issues on my Mac Book Pro 13 mid 2012 thumb and would really like to move to 16 GB of memory Ram and an SSD.

That someone has or has had experience with the mise a niveau of this model... or the upgrade in general and running on some issues.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

    Best

Assuming that it is a model identifier 9.2, it will accept the 16 GB of RAM and an SSD will improve its overall performance.  The best sources for RAM compatible Macs are OWC and Crucial.  Based on reputation and personal experience, OWC and Crucial get my nod for SSDS as well.

You will need to decide if the higher cost for one SSD worth it. compared to a classic HARD disk if the bank account is fat, do.  I have.

  • You can improve the macbook pro 15 inch 2015 logic board

I am the proud owner of a macbook pro mid 2015, 15-inch retina display 2.2 Ghz i7 (integrated graphics).

I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade dedicated to one with the graphics card logic board or is there a compatibility issue?

I know that the macbook pro with dedicated graphics card is the same size and all that one that I have so I was wondering if the logic boards are the same size.

    I hope this isn't a stupid question.

I'm sorry. After the purchase, upgrade of the internal components is not possible.

If you wish, you can sell the Mac you have and buy another Mac with the specifications you want.

  • Update of the MacBook Pro for iPad Pro?

I'm looking to replace my MacBook Pro (MBP) for a new iPad Pro. Apart from the obvious differences that exist between operating systems, i.e. OSX El Capitan vs iOS (9)

Are there specific functions or tasks that cannot be performed on an iPad Pro, which can be done on the MBP?

When it comes to streaming music (Spotify) and video (Youtube, Netflix, Amazon, BBC iplayer etc), will all these without downloading additional software, Flash drives or iOS apps for the iPad?

Any constructive comments will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Most OS X applications with versions of iOS will have reduced functionality located in iOS (for example. (Pages, Numbers, MS Office applications).  iOS is now supported split screen for some applications (not all), but it offers no true multitasking. iOS supports NO FLASH - never has and probably never will be.  Some 3rd party browsers or proxy subscription services offer alternatives to that, but it's not exactly a replacement for FLASH native.  It's the same for Java applications.

iOS is not addressable accessible file system or cross-app of the user, as OS X.  iOS apps are sandboxed to sand and largely unable to interact with eachother or every-other data.

Honestly, even though I love my iPad Pro and use every day for staff and job tasks, it is NOT a true replacement for a desktop computer / laptop.  If your use is very specifically limited to certain iOS apps or certain types of applications that are very conducive to a tablet OS, you should be fine with just an iPad, but if not, you will find you want always a laptop or desktop computer, at least for certain tasks or the types of applications.

Please also note, that iOS devices, like any electronic mass storage, must be saved if you care about your data at all.  Without a computer, your only backup option is to iCloud online backups.  Solutions available iCloud for photography, however, NO do not replace true or complete for archiving your photos elsewhere for guard - should photo be archived elsewhere (computer, another Cloud Computing service) regardless of your choice of iCloud photo service (s).  A computer is a perfect solution for a backup of redundant iOS device using iTunes and iCloud for backups.  A computer is also required to restore an iOS device in the case of a corrupt system, update, install or some other potential recoverable occsionally disaster.

Try to connect to other internet connections. Alternatively, you can launch the Terminal and enter: 'ping - c \15 www.google.com' this will determine if it is the user interface of your computer that does not work, or that the computer itself is unable to access the internet. You can also navigate to System Preferences > network > WIRELESS > advanced > DNS and + 8.8.8.8 as DNS server (this is Google's Public DNS Service).

  • Reliability of the macbook pro 13-inch retina

So I bought recently a 2015 macbook pro retina 13inch w from best buy. Ive heard nothing else nothing but great things about these machines and it reliability is pretty good, especially from what consumer reports said.

So my questions, yes I know its how you take care of it and other things, but how long I would be able to see out of him? I bought applecare for the 3 years to have the kind of peace of mind, if something goes wrong.

But I am a student I am on that for probably 8 hours a day, do not do stuff very heavy but don't like to play a few games on it from steam nothing really big or anything like that, and then I want to edit videos. Editing and games is probably once or twice a week especially just web browsing and school documents

I'm just a little paranoid, because I came from a dell inspiron 14r who crashed after 2 years later and I never really have a lot of video editing (fact 4, 5 min videos lol) on it and not play games. I have just web browsing, and it was nothing but a fight with problems.

I just want bad use it much and do much more things on it like ediitng videos, games and just curious to know how well it will hold up to?

But with the applecare as long as I don't spill something on it or drop it, they cover everything other then the battery from what ive read

Some 2007 models that still work as web browsers.  My 2011 MBP works always, strong but unlikely if do heavy software development I would get a new system for the best processor.

Don't be surprised that your system is "officially obsolete" (comes five years after the particular model is officially replaced) before it stops working.

I just bought a MacBook Pro of the retina (100% Brand new) as my first product Mac and I love it! I want to keep this laptop for as long as I can especially for the price I paid for it. Battery is my number one concern, and I want to keep the health of the battery as healthy as possible.

Modern battery of Macbook didn't need to be calibrated.

You can use your Mac while being charged.

I use app battery of nuts of coconut, but not necessary.

    Best.

  • update of the macbook pro

does make sense to switch to a new 2015 macbook pro with the retina, if I bought one in 2012?

Look at the differences between the two models, decide whether you can justify.  Justification can be "better resolution of need", can be "need faster CPU."

I'm not judging you or tell you what is decision.  Just advise you how I would make the decision.

The 2012 model should last a while.  My renovated 2011 still works well.  Improve not now because you're afraid he will die "tomorrow."

Just keep your backups until you decide to move.

  • updated the macbook pro and now I have connection problems

So we have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, mid-2012) and we have recently updated to the version OS X El Capitan 10.11.5, after update, we are unable to access our connection (it might load a little before to redirect us to the login page) except for the Witch of guest account has functioned well (except he says google.com security certificate was not active yet even though she was active) for about 15 days). We took it to the Apple store where we connect our moms charged very well account however, it took much longer than normal and once finished loading he wanted that we created a new connection and sign in apple ID (according to the guy in the store of the bulk was normal after update (, but at the time we did not know he had even been updated) when we had finished making the new account he had signed us the new account and not my moms. When we arrived at the new account did not show and just my sisters once that she had recorded in then signed in to the new account that we made in the shop. Now, we managed to find all the documents in the 'users' section but all applications are gone and the new account is not visible. When we went in the settings section and saw all the users that appears is the new account.

If you go to the preferences system/users and groups, how many accounts do you see there? How many accounts is supposed to be there?

  • Updated graphics on MacBook Pro which has the iris intel pro 1536 and the card nvidia geforce GT 750 M

    Hello world

I was wondering if it would be possible to update the graphics card from nvidia, which is in my macbook pro 15-inch. Im not too tech savvy so I figure that I would like to ask the community. This laptop has the iris intel pro as well a nvidia geforce gt 750M.

    Thanks to all who replied,

Graphics cards and processors are welded on and are specially selected for the system.  Even the most tech savvy people would find it very difficult, if possible.

  • I can't watch the airplay for HDTV icon mirrored on MacBook Pro (15-inch, mid 2010)

I can view the icon airplay on MacBook Pro (15-inch, mid 2010) for HDTV (trying to film on TV laptop project).

Need help please, I checked my network on Apple TV, updated and verified system preferences and downloaded the demo of AirParrot2.app (this project DID on tv via AirParrot but the movie was uneven and deferred on the tv then sound was not lined up).

    Hi csaszardesign,

    Please visit Apple support communities.

It seems that you are not able to use AirPlay Mirroring of your MacBook Pro (15-inch, mid 2010) to your Apple TV. Some use AirPlay to display video from your Mac to a TV high definition, looks like AirPlay Mirroring requires an Early 2011 or later MacBook Pro:

    Required to use AirPlay

If you go to the Apple menu > System Preferences, click on monitors and do not see the option to "See the mirroring of the options in the menu bar when it is available," your Mac does not meet these requirements.

Minimum requirements if your Mac and Apple TV are on the same network:

Minimum requirements for peer-to-peer AirPlay, which allows visitors to quickly and easily connect their Mac or an iOS device to your Apple TV without getting the passwords and connection to the network Wi - Fi:

For help AirPlay of Quicktime or Safari for your Apple TV, see the instructions and the "Get help" section in use AirPlay to display video from your Mac to a TV high definition.

For the reflection of your Mac on your HD TV, I suggest you to use the TV as an external display by using the Mini DisplayPort connection. The information on these links can help with getting started:

  • MacBook pro 13 inch mid-2012 with the help of el capitan

is there anyone with a macbook pro 13 inch mid 2012 that the use of el capitan?

I want to improve my macbook to mavericks in el capitan, but my friend told me not to do. Because she just update its macbook (same model with mine) and it becomes slower than before (yosemite).

Is there anyone with the same problem? Or maybe another problem after upgrade to el capitan?

It works perfectly with EC is that you have enough memory. I say that at least 8 GB is necessary. 4 GB is very marginal.
