  Have Pavilion DV5-1251nr P/N: NB165UA #ABA Vista 64 bit

  You want to replace the original defective CD/DVD disc. Pulled the drive from the laptop and it has a small label printed: "replace with HP 483864-003 replacement". It also has a HP PN #: 460507 FC0 the disk.

  Looked at the Maintenace of HP and Guide Service and on page 22, 33 and 55, he noted to use 483864-002 with an Intel processor. 483864-003 is noticed to use with an AMD processor. Everything indicates that my laptop has an Intel processor. I removed the cover on the processor and the word "INTEL" is printed on it. Nothing has been replaced on this laptop except for the battery. This laptop was built with the wrong drive CD/DVD from the factory?

• Wireless network adapter does not not for Pavilion DV6000

  My Wi - Fi just stop working and I can't connect to my wifi at home more.  When I click on the wizard wireless in the Panel, nothing in charge.  Wifi switching active button disabled, shows nothing on the screen (which it used to) went into the Device Manager and says "this device does not work properly because windows cannot load the drivers required for this device" (code 31)

  Ive shut down the computer and a restore of the system for a few days before the show but has not resolve.

  Any questions/possible solutions? Thank you

  Here is a picture of the motherboard used in your PC.

  It has 3 PCIe slots x 1, the one free, which you can install a sound card.

  These are the 3 small black parallel slits at the bottom of the image.

  So, you should use a PCIe x 1 (PCI Express x 1) audio card.

  I would like to learn the best way to plan updates player for a low-bandwidth environment.

  We look at Intune use to deploy updates on Win 7 Ent machines, and many of them will be areas of Africa and only very expensive bandwidth, usually in a small office with 5 to 10 other machines in the company.

  It's great that updated quarterly security release Adobe, but the last were about 50 MB.

  While Intune and Win 7 Ent will allow machines to the same local network to share an update (so it is downloaded only once on the Internet), a 50 MB download is still big enough and it could easily saturate a VSAT connection for a day.  Or if someone on a BGAN connection, she might hire a fee of $25!  The BGAN is an extreme example, as we'll have updates for these people.

  The main question would be is there a way to minimize the size of the updates of the player, or they will always be about 50MB?

  Second, is there an install switch that turns off the automatic check for updates?  (as this prompt is annoying for customers and they don't have permission to install updates)

  Thirdly, Intune wants to check if the software is installed before deploying the it's and can run a check of reg key.  Where can I find the reg key relevant for each new version of the player?

  I checked http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/AdminGuide/sccm.html for the reg key info (SCCM is the closest Intune) and checked http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/AdminGuide/cmdline.html to try to find a switch which disables auto-update, but no joy.

  • The desired pref is bUpdater. It is documented in the reference on the preferences, Assistant Guide and Administrator's Guide.
  • Discover also disabling the update of ARM service to http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/AdminGuide/properties.html?highlight=upd ates
  • You should probably use the wizard to customize the installer. It supports using the prefs/properties.

  I have an older HP Pavilion DV6000 with 4 GB of RAM (2 GB RAM upgrade).    However, only 2.69 GB can be used.   It has been suggested that I have upgraded the BIOS and turn "remapping memory."    The OS is Win7 Home Premium 32 bit OS.

  l has a problem to find good BIOS upgrade.

  Currently, the version of the BIOS is F.3D

  Chart type is the main factor.

  Even if your laptop has a Nvidia graphics card, a system memory is set aside for the graphics.

  I just bought an edition four HP PAVILION DV7-7000 with the graphics of 650 m hd4000/nvidia intel

  combination. I'm running Windows 7 x 64 with 16 GB of RAM of the system.

  I had some serious screen from flicker of my external monitor from the day I bought the laptop. I did some testing and found that the problem occurred while the screen resolution to 1920 x 1200 x 32. Any lower resolution or bit depth could reduce or eliminate the problem of flicker.

  This problem is a BIOS problem more precisely with the memory reference Code (MRC) version 1.4.0.0 or more. Contact the manufacturer of your system or the card mother for an update system for your system BIOS or the motherboard that includes the MRC 1.5.0.0 or newer.
  If you have a system with 2 or more memory modules and are comfortable with the removal of all but one of them so that your memory is in single channel mode, try and remove all but one of them and the problem will disappear. This can be used as a workaround until you are able to update your BIOS from the manufacturer of your system or motherboard that includes the MRC 1.5.0.0 or newer.

  I think that's the question that I am experiencing. I checked it by deleting memory modules and solve the problem itself.

  Does anyone know where we can expect an update of the bios? I really want to reinstall my second memory stick and retrieve my additional 8 GB.
