Update problems causing several problems.

First-

I received notice that Windows cannot be updated for some time. I tried the fix where I am to empty a folder and reset it according to the instructions in the menu help. THST didn't work, so I found a forced update on a MS site that was supposed to force the update. Instead to get the update, I now get messages saying that the version of windows vista, I have perhaps not valid now. How can I fix it?

Second-

I was able to live with the frustration above until today when I tried to install my new MS Office Home and Student 2010 and kept getting Error 1935 with an Hresult: 0 x 8007002. Fix management, I found that all suggest that I did do the same thing I did for my problem above but has never worked.

Third-

On the start-up of already 5 or 6 (apparently not regularly), I get the "blue screen" which tells me that I have not a valid operating system.

I had friends from tech tell me that these are known issues with Vista Ultimate and all I have to do is call the 1-800 number MS, explain the issues, and that MS can make a correction. This 1-800 number seems to be eluding me (if such a number exists). I am also told that all these problems are caused by the same problem.

Advice?

First-

This KB mention Error 1935 at the base of the page

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/883825>

What type of Internet connection you are on, wired or wireless? If you are on a wireless connection, try switching to a wired connection and try the download.

Third-

Boost telephone:

Activate Windows manually:

1. click on start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

2. press enter on your keyboard

3. Select your country.

4. Select the telephone activation option and brace yourself for a real person.

When you try to upgrade to windows 10 I received the error message 0 x 80080005 - 0 x 90016 after watching in Microsoft support forum, I found that the problem was related to windows 7 is not not to date. I checked and found that my computer has stopped udating a couple of years. I tried to run Fixit MS that has not worked. Tried to reboot (BITS) and got ERROR 126 (module not found) I then followed the instructions at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2700567 on how to reset the Windows Update components. During the process, I have the following errors:

I guess my question is what I have to do a restore of the system under windows 7, before I can upgrade to windows 10? Or y at - it another way?

    Hello glockrow ;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post about windows update problems and wanted to help.

I would that be able to say that updating to Win10 was an exact science where we know exactly how he does it, and what it should - but the flooding of this and other instances of Win10 problem after that problem indicates that, at best, we are all guessing.

So, I think, from what I've read and done on my PC, is that you SHOULD be able to avoid the problem of missing updates by updating using Win10 created using this MS link media: 10 Windows Installer using the media - Windows help authoring tool

After you create the DVD or USB, NOT boot from it. Instead, insert it into your PC and, if it does not auto-start, right click on the file setup.exe and run it.

HOWEVER - and this is important - PC Win7 have a rate low success updated Win10 without problem - primariluy lack of OEM Win10 drivers.  Typical problems include display artifacts (to cause to be obliged to use the driver for the card of Microsoft Basic), not wireless and touchpad problems.  The drivers Microsoft provides have only the most basic features, with none of the extras that the HP drivers bring to the stage.

It is further complicated by the function Win10 GoBack, whereby you can return to your original operating system, being known to be unreliable. So when your upgrade machine malfunctioning, only then you discover that you cannot return the machine to work, that you had originally!

You can protect yourself against ending up with a damaged machine - seriously considering using a free third-party product that works for airport Imaging/restoration - Macrium Reflect.

Macrium reflect (MR) provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.

So now you can recharge before with the upgrade, knowing that whatever happens, you will be able to return to your currently works in a few minutes.

    Good luck

  • Win 7 update problems

25/08/10 Windows updates create once more questions for my computer.  My PC updated 8/25, rebooted and hung "Starting Windows".  I was able to restore back a few days but now I'm worried about the installation of these updates.

    HiAlexpinca,

    Method 1:

First try to install the updates using updates of windows one after the other and check.

    Reference:

    Install Windows updates
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/install-Windows-updates

If you encounter any problem in executing the step above, you can install the updates one by one on your computer manually and check if the problem reappears.

Download and save the Setup on your desktop package and try to install the same one by one and check what update is causing the problem.

To do this, you must enter the number of the Windows Update in the search field in the link provided below.

    Link Download Center

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx

    Method 2:

You can also use Event Viewer to search for information on the problem.

Here is an article on how to do it:

The display of the error messages in the event viewer
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/947321

You can see for more information on the issue at the time where it occurred.

You can post this information here to help us narrow down where the focus.

  • Vista update problem

    Salvation responses/Microsoft technical support.

I may have the same question - I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 32 Bit and have never had a problem with since the launch in 2007.

Execution of Windows updates last night my PC will not boot Windows, it goes beyond the BIOS, but then when the "Loading Windows" little status bar appears after 2-3 seconds, he made a break then it 'blue screens' very quickly that I can't read what whether it was and then going to restart my PC.

It does and now reboot - loop continuously, so I can't get Vista started. I inserted my Windows Vista DVD to start and I can "Repair Windows" - this can get my going again (which is what I did twice now & nhow I typing this).

But these same 9 new Windows updates are causing the problem on & on new - please help me fix this.

Updates of Windows (which came out yesterday, 02/10/2010) that cause this problem for me are:

A security update cumulative for the stop bits ActiveX for Windows Vista (KB978262)
Update security for Windows Vista (KB971468)
Update security for Windows Vista (KB974145)

Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool - February 2010 (KB890830)
Update for the junk e-mail in Outlook 2007 (KB977719) filter

Please tell us a solution, because I want to keep my PC & Windows up-to-date and at the present time, I too scared to run Windows updates (I disabled the auto updates) because its causing Windows to not start & continuously restart the PC.

First of all, you should check that your system is not infected with any type of virus\malware.  This thread has some good information on the programs and use if you don't currently have one. Get rid of malware  If you do not have an anti-virus, you have and is up to date?
You must install the updates one at a time and restart after each one to determine what is a problem.  Once you have determined the update that has a problem, post with this information.  Also let us know which service pack level that you are running.

  • Microsoft Update problems with Belkin router

I installed the last Microsoft Update (yesterday) and from that moment, my router works.  I confirmed that the router is fine (it sends the signal without problems to other devices) so I'm sure it was the Microsoft update that caused the problem. How to take care of this problem?  I have a Belkin F7D2301 Surf v1000.  Any help you could provide would be much appreciated.

In fact I thought to it.  There was an update that was missing from my Belkin (for some reason, the update was not necessary before the update).  As soon as I installed the update (click on "check for updates"), the problem has been resolved.  Thanks for your help, if.

  • BlackBerry Torch 9800 Smartphones - touchscreen since the last update problems; Yikes!

My flashlight was usually great until I updated the software several days ago.  The problems that appeared almost immediately:

    • wallpaper has been changed (corrected)
    • ringtones has changed (corrected)
    • e-mail settings changed (corrected)
    • touch screen has become unresponsibe or requires stronger keys
    • touchscreen not responding to scrolling, or would highlight several lines/entries
    • composition of the keyboard or touch screen gives a random "second" when number one is touched/press

I can overcome the other points of the touchscreen by popping the battery and restart.  But they eventually return.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Several times, something as simple as to reload the operating system (the same operating system you just load, not another) will help.  I don't know why, but it's worth a try.

Connect your phone to your PC via USB and open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  Once your phone is connected, click device at the top of the software, and then restore the menu drop down.  Choose the most recent restore point and proceed.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

    Hello
To be honest I m not very well why the autopilot GPU update could not complete successfully, but I guess that the update is not out for the AMD Radeon HD7610M, which is built into the laptop.

I also read a discussion on this issue in the Microsoft forum, and it seems that there are other people having exactly the same problem with this update.

[Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.3 - AMD Radeon HD 7500/7600 series update problem | http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-hardware/problem-with-graphics-driver-update/a7a6da38-6575-405b-86c2-71a620be06b7]

The question is therefore probably related to wrong or incompatible driver GPU

When my computer tries to finally start up, it comes to a screen that says Windows Update section 3 of 3, 0% complete.  He is sitting here for a minute or two, then restarts.  This loop continues indefinitely.  Will not start in safe mode.  Used a boot disk to get into the Windows repair and got the result, did not find any problem.  How to cross this attempt to update?  I have Vista.

When you used the "Startup disk" was available as an option system restore? If so, then choose a restore point created before this issue started occurring.

If the system restore is not available, then you have 2 options:

    (1) try a "in-place upgrade", aka, repair installation. This can be done by running the system with the "Startup disk" and choose command prompt - How to perform a repair for Vista Installation

However, if Service Packs have been installed then you should uninstall everything first.

You will need to know where the Service Pack .exe file is to be able to uninstall the command prompt, because the system does not start properly, or Mode without failure.

See - method 3: uninstall Windows Vista service pack from the guest here - How do I uninstall Windows Vista service packs as a troubleshooting step

    (2) do a clean install of Vista.

    Hello

Follow the steps and check if the problem persists.

    Step 1:

I suspect that your security program may be responsible for this. I would suggest you temporarily disable all security software and try the system restore.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

Note : Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats.  In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Step 2:

As for installing updates is concerned, I you should install them after you put your computer in aclean boot State. There could be a third-party software in conflict with updates. Clean boot helps eliminate these conflicts.

Note: Restart your machine as usual by following step 7.
