Update satellite P500 and Windows 7 in Australia

Hi all

Can someone confirm this deadline as a fact?

If so, is it also for the Australia?

See you soon

Ben

I'm not the Australia, but you should check the support Toshiba Australia page and report on the Toshiba info directly. I'm afraid this is all country/continent specific program.
Please check the new Australian page under http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/home

  • Satellite P500 and eSATA slowdown system and start

    Hello
To connect an external drive eSATA system immediately slows to a crawl. A boot would take longer than 30 minutes (not waited so he can start windows) and the drive never shows up when it is plugged since within windows.

    I have a satellite P500 (PSPGSA - 01 G 003) with Win 7 x 64 and 2.9 (latest) BIOS.

I did a little reading in what the problem might be and have:

Most of the tips are for "esata disks must be connected before starting for them to be recognized", but then startup is so slow that I can not get into Windows.
Tried this IDE and back to AHCI in the BIOS.
Considered "looking for new hardware' in Win7 after having connected the drive/turn on.
Insured AHCI was enabled through the registry.
Disk management - check the player never appears.
Tried downgrading the chip set driver (later).

To disconnect the cable from the computer immediately accelerating upward.

EDIT: Just started in ein7 with the drive connected but it was not acknowledged.

    All thoughts are welcomed.

    Thank you.

    Hello

S far away I know that the eSATA port supports a hot swap function. This means that you can connect the eSATA drive to the laptop after windows system started.

Have you installed the latest Intel Management Engine Interface driver? (different chipset drive!)

Remember also that this driver AHCI in Windows 7 can be activated via the registry.
YPU may modify the following two values of subkey to 0:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-System \CurrentControlSet------Services------Msahci
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ FAT32\ CurrentControlSet-Services-IastorV

  • Satellite A300 and Windows 7

Hi all. First of all I am sorry for my bad English - I to little practice.

    Can I transfer my win Vista sp2 (x 32) to Win7 (x 32) on my laptop Satellite A300-1QF (?) PSAGCE-06F00JRU)?
Is there any trouble with drivers/devices/something else? If it is, are there ways to avoid?
I hate vista (((want to try vin7)))

    Thanks for the help!

    Hello

At first, I must say that I don't know what you mean under transfer.
I have Satellite A300 and dual boot with Windows XP Home edition and Win7 so I can say that Satellite A300 works perfectly with Win7, much better then Vista.

    What you can do is:
    # To upgrade Vista preinstalled for Win7 (the two 32-bit) or
    # Install Win7 using Microsoft installation disc. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities must be installed Additionally one by one. Each of them you can find and download from Toshiba support page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads.

Question: I want to know if this problem is also present in Windows XP and Windows Server 2003, and if so, we have a solution already for XP and Windows 2003?

    Hello

Your question of Windows is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for the public on the TechNet site. Please post your question in the below link: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/category/windowsserver/

  • Supported satellite M110 and Windows 7

    G ' Day all,

I'm trying to help my daughter with her:
    ___Manufacturer: Toshiba
    ___Family: satellite M110
    ___Model: PSMBOA - 01J00D

Can someone tell me if this model will run Windows 7 and where to find the drivers?

    Thank you

    Pat Garard

According to Toshiba Australia support page your laptop is supported for Windows XP Home and Vista 32-bit edition only.
In any case, I'm sure that you can run Win7 on this model of laptop. Many Vista drivers can be used and also older hardware will be installed after updating Win7.

So to install Win7 and check the Device Manager to see which components of the material must be installed. First chipset Vista display driver and Win7 update utility.

Just be patient and I think that after several reboots over the components will be installed.
    Test it.

  • Satellite R830 and Windows 10 question webcam

The Microsoft Upgrade Advisor said that my Satellite R830-182 would be allowed to switch to Windows 10, so I made the leap. Everything works fine, except the webcam of Toshiba. Device Manager States "the drivers for this device are not installed (code 28)" and click on "update drivers" is futile.

The Toshiba site looking for an updated driver, I found that this model is not in their models supported for Windows 10, despite the advice of Mrs.

Anyone know if there is a way around this problem (another pilot?), or it is impossible to get this webcam works in Windows 10?

    Thank you.

  • Satellite P30 and Windows 2000...

Please, please, please... help me solve my nightmare!

I tried all ways to install Windows 2000 on my satellite P30. All software and drivers are updated (service pack 4, dx9, lastes drivers, etc), but...

When the installation of the white screen of graphic Ati drivers (ati 9700) appears and it crash (as shown in the previous topic: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=4136&messageID=13825#13825 - I want to reopen that walk but is locked)

The problem is that I have great experience in the software/hardware and I have installed all drivers (drivers omega, satellite m30x drivers, drivers ati, different drivers manufactured, ecc.) but the problem STILL persists.

I'm going to give up, but before that I would like to know, if someone here in this forum has solved this problem or if anyone really expert could suggest me other ways to install windows 2000 on this computer?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Nick is quite right. W2000 is not officially supported for this model of laptop, and you won't find a graphics card driver on Toshiba download site. I assume that you have installed the driver from ATI directly download site. In this case there is no guarantee that it will work properly.

    Sorry

    Hello world!

I installed Windows 8 on my L855 Satellite and it is running pretty well except that I can not adjust the screen brightness. I have updated all drivers for win 8, but it does not solve the problem.

  • Satellite A300 and Windows 7, missing the option 'create disc '.

    Hello.

    I installed windows 7 Professional in my laptop A300 - 15 c (PSAJ4E) two weeks ago and I have a problem.
I installed all the drivers for win 7 on the official website of toshiba and I do not see the option 'Create disc' where I can install the firmware update.

So, my laptop did not install the updates of the firmware, and it is very slow at startup.
    Any idea about this problem?

I can see your ad is mix of three different but described issues in two sentences.
Can we please discuss each issue separately?

At first, I have to say that I installed Win7 on my Satellite A300-1LI successfully and I am satisfied with the performance and I have to say that all hardware components will run perfectly.
    So, back to your laptop:

    # What do you mean with the option 'create disc '? You may think that on some Toshiba tools pre-installed, I don't know exactly. The fact is that Toshiba offers many useful and utility tools to only factory settings and these tools cannot be downloaded and installed as well.
    # Update? Must you really it? I don't think so. Have you noticed a few problems with the optical disc drive?
    # Slow start? Have you installed the drivers all listed for Win7 especially chipser dtiver and storage manager? Please note that the SATA in the BIOS settings must be defined in AHCI mode.

  • Satellite P300 and Windows 7 Beta...

    Hey guys...
I've updated the horrible Vista my P300 accompanying to the new beta version of Windows 7... Most of the features are working properly.
Here are the problems I encountered.

    * HDMI *-it does not work, but I lose audio via HDMI, if I stop a video. If I am on youtube and I watch a video, the audio will be fine until I have either pause, rewind or fast forward the video, if I click on another video it will also stop working. This is true for any kind of video I watch on the pc... youtube not only... same DVD.
To get again the audio via HDMI, I have to go to audio devices and speakers for default select computers, and then choose HDMI as default again... then it won't work until I have a break or skip the videos again.

    * Card wireless... *.
If the P300 switch mode 'sleep', sometimes I won't be able to reconnect to the wireless again. I need to reboot the P300 to get it to connect again.

I have also 4 or 5 elements in the Manager of devices that are not installed properly... I can't list them because now, I don't have my phone with me.
Someone else running Windows 7 Beta? If so do you have questions?

    Hello

We all know that Windows 7 is still in beta version on the market and official support is not started.
So, to discuss some issues on Windows 7 is for me certainly unnecessary.

The drivers, tools, and utilities are not available and if everything works well it OK, otherwise you have to wait for Windows 7 support to start.

I installed Windows 7 on my Satellite Pro P300 and play around a bit with it, but I wonder if something won t work as it should.

  • Different auto update for Vista and Windows 7

Computer my wife, Firefox under Windows Vista, has been updated this week to Firefox 7.0. Mine, Firefox running on Windows 7, however remains to 6.02. When I pull down help / about it says "Firefox 6.0.2 is up-to-date." I know that I could download 7.0 manually and install it, but I wonder why Auto-Update didn't get it. Two of us are on the output channel.

Updates to Firefox 7 were off early yesterday due to a bug related to disappear during the update of modules.

A Firefox version 7.0.1 for this problem should be available shortly.

2 the back of the fingerprint scanner not connect to public services knows that it is a device but no connection?
3 drive DVD from Toshiba is a problem known to any idea on when it will be fixed
4 have been blocking Windows betweeen flag and research must restart to fix. other will have access on the start bar but not windows or research

Thank you very much for your interesting report.
Former Satellite A300 was originally shipped with Vista and has been supported for Win7 32 bit. Note even for Win8 so I do not think that Toshiba will do everything to offer drivers suitable for Win10.

What you can try is to use the drivers, tools and utilities designed for newer models and hope everything wil works correctly.

I am 100 & sure old A300 wil not be taken in charge for Win10.

  • satellite A50 and windows XP SP2

    Hello

I have a question, recently I improve my windows XP Home Edition (Dutch) to SP2. After that everything works perfectly except on something important. TOSHIBA Power Saver. I have installed all updates to recommend internet page. If I switch between the different profiles (FN + F2). I get a blue screen and the prompt to reboot the PC. I can't read what it says.
The other point is that even if I do not change, the laptop works at full power all time.

is this what can I do with this problem?

    Kind regards
    Sjoerd

    Hello

Hmm... This is strange. I will try to uninstall the Powermanager, and then reinstall it again. Any improvement? If not, right-click right workstation, click on properties (last line), click Advanced, click the settings button in the boot sector and recovery.
Uncheck the box saying "Automatically restart" and then click on OK until your back in the real world.
Next time, you get a blue screen, it will not restart but rather stop with the error message. If she tells you what to know (maybe) be difficult to say and then take it down and post it here (forget memoryadresses and segments, pointers and all that.

  • Satellite A60 and Windows XP Recovery

    Hi all.

I recently bought a Satellite phone from second hand from a friend (a little more older Notebook - from 2004.) When started in a virtual environment and run anti virus applications (memory) and diagnostic (Everest and Memtest etc.) tools, everything seem to be functional and in good condition. The HARD drive was dead when originally purchased, so I replaced that with a new (first replacement was defective, but was written for initially in tests, while the second is still RAW and unused). When you try to do an OS recovery/reinstall on the product CD (#R - 02163001 PMR400170EN1 2/2 T) original OEM nothing happens to start the process (no BootCD in drive - this despite the boot order set correctly). The only file on the CD is a file 02163001.GHS (615, 722ko) inside a TOSHIBA folder. This I guess being the second or several split files of Ghost. However the first part, which I imagine must be a. The file GHO to automatically start the startup/recovery process, is missing. Assuming that CD-ROM (certainly not the optical drive) as being faulty, I tried to buy a replacement online and by calling suppliers the. This CD is apparently is no longer available, anywhere!

Defective CD-ROM, based on the single file, its size and the possible lack. GHO file?
Is it possible to still make use of the image of the. GHS of the file on the original product recovery CD and incorporate it to recover the machine with a new CD with a .iso file, I could create. If so, how would I go on this subject?
Norton Ghost 10 can not recognize this file type, for recovery. I have too many Norton Ghost 2003, but it is not intended to be used on a platform of XP based machine. Symantec Ghost Solution Suite 2.5 could do the job, but is $39 and I think that a little buying risky. The use of pirated software is not a viable option either.
Purchase at a cost, a non - OEM generic Windows XP PRO is probably a solution, but preferably, I would like to use my original OEM CD.

If anyone knows of any useful information or could provide a workaround solution, it would be appreciated.

    Hello

As I see that you try to start the procedure of facilities using CD 2/2. It will not work.
Recovery image is recorded on two CD and it should be started with the 1/2 CD

    You have the 1/2 CD?
