Update sound card driver

Mac 10.10.5 attempt installation of teaching textbooks algebra. Attention box TT tells me that there is no sound card.  No problems with other programs. Customer support TT tells me that I have to update the drivers... where and how can I do this? I thought that I had everything set to update automatically, and all must be current.

Their support staff obviously have no idea what they are talking about. Is it supposed to be compatible with the version of Mac OS X you are using?

    Hello

I recently had problems with my Dell Inspiron 9400/E1705 (vista 32-bit windows operating system). I couldn't get a USB microphone to work and I decided to update the sound card driver. I downloaded and updated what I thought, it was the right driver (sigmatel high definition audio codec) and since there is no sound from speakers. I followed the guide from Dell troubleshooting and disconnect any external devices and then click right click the mixer volume in the system tray, and then clicked on "open volume Mixer" and I get the message: no audio device installed. I went to the control panel to check the sound card driver and he told me that the codec sigmatel high definition audio works well and he has not updated. I unfortunately can't restore the system that system restore installation in my computer stopped working awhile (even when I start windows in safe mode) so I'm stuck. I think that I have installed the wrong driver for the sound card but don't find it not easy to understand which driver to search the dell support center. It seems that the audio card is called something like "HDAUDIO\func01_ & FRI etc. looks Chinese to me. Could someone help? I would be very grateful

  • Is there a way to know what makes a noise of grinding on my lap? I was told that my sound card driver may be able

    No upgrade

I recently did the upgrade of the driver of the Doc and found things that I didn't exist on my computer, which was given to me by my nephew.  He turns quiet and really did not have any complaints until after that I did the upgrade of the driver of the Doc.  Now, that sounds like a grinding machine.  I was told that when I talked about Facebook, I need to update my sound card driver.  I did a search to see what it means, but I am not prepared to do right now.  Can someone reassure me that it will be an easy fix?

Could be a problem of fan cooling, remove the side cover of the tower and see if you can see or hear the sound is coming from.

My advice would be the same. Certainly, it looks like a fan at the origin of the problem. Fans get older they intermittently can make noise. This would explain why you hear sometimes and not others.

Furthermore, to see if your sound card, causing the noise (which I doubt), just turn off all your speakers when you hear the noise. If the sound stops immediately, it's actually a sound card related question.

There are often several fans inside the computer.  There will be one which is part of the power supply. Sometimes one or more attached to the casing of the computer itself (usually the Panel that you remove the first and one on the front of the case.)  There will probably be one on top of the CPU (central processing unit), as well as on the video card.

Not recommended advice (which I did before) - gently tap on the center of the fan that you suspect is making noise. Jiggleling it will sometimes make noise to stop. In this case, you know which fan needs to be replaced.

Even worse advice (which I also done before) - take a small piece of wood (for example, a 1/4-inch dowel rod) and insert slowly into the fan to keep it from turning. If the noise stops, you have found the fan that needs to be replaced. Remove the stick to regularize quickly because he will always try to run and we don't want it burn.

If you can't find that a fan is causing trouble you want to replace as soon as possible because it will eventually stop working and cause one or more components in your computer to overheat.

    Hello

Recently, I uninstalled a program and my sound card driver has been uninstalled with it

I'm running the Qosmio F10 with Windows XP.

I have the file to reinstall the diver in the Toshiba page but when I try to install I get the error "driver is not found.

    Can someone help me?

    Thanks in advance

The European Toshiba driver page provides audio driver for XP and at this time, it s a 5.12.0.1.5160 version of Analog Devices Inc.

You must download, unpack and then run the installation exe.

If it doesn't work then remove the sound card in Device Manager, reboot the laptop and check again.

Press the Windows key, type in "Device Manager" without the quotes and the Device Manager select from the list that appears, or press ENTER.

In the window that appears, find graphics card and press the sign more or arrow to the left of it. It should fall down the name of the video card you have.

Whenever you do a clean install of Windows (and it sounds like that's what you did), you MUST install the necessary drivers.  Windows XP incorporates some drivers, but certainly not all.  Go to the HP website, get the drivers and install them.  And don't forget to download and install XP sp3.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=228&LC=en&cc=us&DLC=en&sw_lang=&product=3245022

Note: Don't bother with this page or uninstalling the RAID driver BIOS updates and firmware (unless you have the referenced problem) but DO get and install the SP3 upgrade utility before installing XP sp3 if your computer has an AMD processor.  You may or may not need multimedia software.

  • Impossible to update sound card: I get the error message "could not create c:\cabs\d20007-003-001-decompressez operation canceled."

    Hello
I have a gateway MT6460, Windows Vista 32-bit model. I got this update for my sound card on the site of the bridge, it has downloaded to my desktop and double clicked on it when it was all the download and it came with this error message. It is not a folder. I don't think that... It seems that it is just a single file... But ya. Any help is very appreciated! If more information is needed let me know.

If it is an exe file, it is not a zip file - this is a simple executable that just needs to be executed.  Try right-clicking on the file, and then click Run as Administrator - this works sometimes when normal means of installation only.  Try disabling your security software before installing because that can sometimes interfere.  Try doing with no ongoing enforcement in case another program.

The only way to determine if it applies to your system needs to communicate with the computer manufacturer's technical support Department and ask them.  I am concerned that your computer model is not listed, but it did come with a search for your computer model so I don't know - but they will be.  Maybe they can also help you with the installation (since it's their software) - I at least ask for help when you call (it can't hurt and may even help).  If the error persists, then only they can help you (if you have tried all the steps I suggested) since it is their software and they are the only ones who know how to overcome the error message.

If you want to see file types (and that's a good thing to know), go to start / Control Panel / folder Options / View and uncheck Hide extensions for known file types.  Then you will be able to see extensions in Windows Explorer or on your desktop.

I strongly suggest that you get your device drivers directly against the manufacturer of the computer or the manufacturer of the device and NOT Microsoft Updates.  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. (I would do it now before you forget).  I've seen too many times when Microsoft Update driver is older or different from that of the manufacturer of the computer or the manufacturer of the device and causes more problems than it solves (Windows Update drivers are not as up-to-date as those from manufacturers).

    I hope this helps.

  • Vista sound card driver.

How can I get a driver that is compatible with vista for and sound blaster live! value sound card?

People are always coming on the Microsoft Forums and ask for a device driver hardware for some piece of hardware that they would like to keep around after moving from an operating system to a newer version.  What needs to be understood (and it has been said time and again) is that support for a given product is the manufacturer of the product.  Yes - Windows (any version) has always come with some integrated drivers limited for many products - but there are literally hundreds of thousands of different pieces of equipment out there (million?) and Microsoft is not manufacturer a lot of them, nor does Apple, nor made any flavor of unix/linux, etc..

Support for hardware devices comes from the manufacturer of said device - period.  If they decide they're going to stop putting the drivers for a given piece of hardware in Windows XP SP2, it's what they do.

A lot of people have this perception that Microsoft should support their product because they "made in an earlier version of Windows" - but in truth - they do not have.  The manufacturer of the product and is provided to Microsoft driver to include with the release of the OS initially or at a later date (or not at all and they needed for the end-user to install.)

Thus, the short of it: If you do not find an official driver for your device (Sound Blaster Live! The value in this case) for Windows Vista (a Microsoft operating system) then the manufacturer (Creative Labs in this case) gave to a few previous Windows OS.

    According to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_Blaster_Live! /
"Unfortunately the map is not supported by Windows Vista unless the running sound in 5.1 surround sound setting..".

Creative Labs does not have the software/driver for Windows Vista everywhere evident.  It seems that this is not supported.

Something on that you get will be a hack and can have mixed results.
