  • Update the BIOS for Satellite U400-10O required

    Hello world

I have a SATELLITE U400-10 oC (PSU40E-00R00EG3). It is an old product, but once I always love use regularly.

Recently, I bought a battery for this device upgrade. Unfortunately, it does not recognize the laptop. The work of the battery, but I don't you all information about the charge level. I tried various tricks 'reset' (removing ACPI Microsoft in the list of the drivers installed, running down the battery completely etc..).

I think the BIOS might be exceeded and I'd like to update. Unfortunately, the Web of Toshiba site does not list updates for him more. Still, someone has access to updates the BIOS for this?

The BIOS is a Phoenix currently to version 4.70.

    Hello

N my BIOS of opinion has nothing to do with it. Battery can be replaced, and if you use compatible batteries they should be recognized correctly. Here is the list of all compatible batteries:
    PA3534U-1BAS/BRS
    1BAS/PA3536U-1BRS
    PA3634U-1BAS/BRS
    PA3635U-1BAM/BRM

Purchased one of these and original Toshiba product (label Toshiba) or a product without a name?

  • Is it possible to update the BIOS for the Satellite A110 (PSAB0) and Windows7?

    Hi all

I recently installed Windows 7 on Toshiba Satellite A110 (PSAB0).
The version of the system BIOS is v1.30
I want to Flash the BIOS for you last version v2.0.
This version is released in January 2009, before the introduction of Windows 7.

There are two versions of the BIOS download, one "for Vista only' and one 'OS independent.
I think I have to go to the operating system independent.
    Link: [update BIOS | http://www.toshiba.nl/innovation/download_driver_details.jsp?service=EN&selCategory = 8 & selFamily = 192 & selSeries = 236 & selProduct = 661 & STAS hortMod = 478 & language = 1 = 12 & selOS & selType = 4 & yearupload = & monthupload = & dayupload = & we eDate = null & mode = allMachines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = 24 & selectedLanguage = 12 & type = 4 & page = 1 & ID = 66230 & DISO =-1 & driverLanguage = 42]

Independent of the OS has warning: + "this Bios is NOT compatible for notebook computers equipped with Windows Vista!" + "

So here's my question: this BIOS version is compatible with Windows 7?

    Thank you very much!!

    AJ.

    Hello

I think that this BIOS (v2.0) is not released for Windows 7 and that it has also not been tested with Windows 7. This BIOS has published 21.01.2009 and Windows 7 was released on July 22, 2009. However, on the other hand it s not mentioned that this BIOS is not compatible with Win 7.

But the fact is that only Windows 7 doesn't is NOT supported on this laptop.

Windows 7 drivers are not out on Sat A110, but this does not mean that you couldn't install Win 7 on this device. Of course, you can install the Win 7 system, but Toshiba does not provide any Win 7 software for this series.

    Back to BIOS update:
In your case I would try not to update the BIOS if the laptop works properly.
Why? Because the update of the BIOS is still a technique sensitive and you could damage it the motherboard if something goes wrong during the update of the BIOS.

    Qosmio F50 - 10 k belongs to the series of PQF55E.
If you want to update the BIOS, you will need to use the BIOS exactly for the F50 PQF55E series.

The European driver Toshiba page provides BIOS for Vista 32-bit and 64-bit OS.
But this does not mean that you cannot use the Win XP

I think you can use the Win XP but the fact is that the BIOS has been optimized for Vista and not XP

The BIOS update should work also on XP, but in some rare cases the update cannot be performed and in this case, you will need to the Toshiba preinstalled the operating system in order to update the BIOS

  • Question about updating the BIOS for Qosmio G20

I downloaded the updated the BIOS of my pc, not the Qosmio, the instructions say it will unpack into 3 files, one being a floppy disk installation. When I unzip on my desktop pc, it makes a file that s too big for a floppy and he won t unzip further because it locks up my pc.

Is it safe to make it work on my desktop pc it can unzip then in the three files and this will affect my BIOS or y at - it somewhere that I can download the floppy part on its own to load on a floppy?

    Hello

    Just a question;
You have downloaded the Qosmio G20 BIOS on the desktop computer, unpacked and now you want it please on the diskette in the floppy drive.
    Is this good?

    So now my suggestion;
Firstly that the Qosmio G20 BIOS and other BIOS Toshiba cannot be updated using the floppy! This isn't traditional BIOS!
The BIOS from the Toshiba page must be updated when the Windows operating system is running!

By the way: you can unpack the BIOS on your desktop computer, but don t try to run all files, because the bad BIOS can damage the motherboard ROM module!

  • Satellite A110 - update the BIOS for Windows 7?

Hello. I found two drivers support page to your versions of BIOS for my Toshiba Satellite A110:
    01/21/09
    Update the BIOS
Toshiba Windows Vista 32 bit 5, 40 - WIN World Wide
    01/21/09
    Update the BIOS
Toshiba OS independent 2, 00 - WIN World Wide

In 'other info' page on first bios there is a warning that this version is only for windows vista, and on the second page 'other info' he warns, that this version is not compatible for notebook computers equipped with Windows Vista.
My first question is what this means? If I have OS Toshiba idependent 2.0 BIOS will not install Vista?

My second and more important question is what version of bios should I install if I now use WINDOWS 7 32 bit?

    Hello

    > My first question is what this means? If I have OS Toshiba idependent 2.0 BIOS will not install Vista?
You should be able to install Vista using BISO 2.0 but maybe your laptop will generate some questions
So you need to update the BIOS to 5, 40 - WIN version if you want to use Vista OS.

If you want to use Win 7 on your laptop then you must first install the Win 7 OS and then you should check out how Windows 7 is running

    Welcome them

PC desktop, HP Pavilion Elite 9400F

    Windows 7 64-bit.

Error message: Incorrect for your system (253) Bios please contact support.

I use the bios upgrade HP site says to download for my PC, but the upgrade works only with a card mother M2P61PM-HM.

Mine has a motherboard M2n68-(NARRA3) and the latest bios for this motherboard does not support Windows 7 and is abandoned.

My system black screen constantly when out of mode 'sleep' and upgrade the bios addresses that issue.

Try to use the BIOS Nettle3 update on the card mother Narra3 will cause problems. Most of the time that BIOS HP update routines is written for a specific operating system and will not install on other operating systems.

Make sure you use the update of the correct M2N68LA BIOS for your motherboard Narra3, several different versions of the M2N68LA were made (narrated, Narra3, etc.)

Please put back the computer it's original Vista OS to install the M2N68LA (Narra3) update of the BIOS. After you install the update, you can return the system to Windows 7. Make it easy and not lose all personal data, disconnect your Windows 7 drive and a blank disc. Using the recovery DVD, install Vista. Update the BIOS. Disconnect the Vista disc, and then reconnect the player to Windows 7. You should be good to go.

    Hello

I installed the update of the BIOS 3 days ago, I had a few programs that are open at the time and also an external USB mouse in time. The hard drive crashed and then blacked out, but the power was still on the turbine runs at full skin. I tried to turn off the computer by the power button, but it wouldn't, so I let it run out of battery. Since then, the computer seems to turn on but the screen has been blackened since then, I can't see what the State of the hard drive is in.

    Any ideas?

    Hello:

There is no graphics card AMD switchable for my model, even with a BIOS update.  That is right.

Or is it still be grayed out as in the current state.  That is right. An update of the BIOS will do nothing to allow you to change the graphic memory settings.  Everything will be grayed out as before.

So if I overload a game settings, from the middle to the extreme, this means that most of the 3 GB memory graphics will be allocated to catch the game? Or even will not use the 737 MB dedicated?   The laptop will initially use all the dedicated memory.  If that wasn't enough, he will then consume the maximum (2.4 GB) memory system available and put it to the chart.

  • 2000-2d69NR HP: updating the BIOS for HP 2000-2d69NR

Hello. I have a laptop HP 2000-2d69NR. I check to see if there is an update of the BIOS available. I tried to check on the page drivers and download, but I kept getting an error when it tried to scan my computer. My current BIOS is Insyde F.37, published on 26/06/2013. Is there a more up-to-date than that? If so, could a representative of HP send me a link to it? Thank you.

  • HP Pavilion 17-e049wm: update the BIOS for windows 10

    Just updated for Windows 10.

Why am I having trouble finding a bios update.

    Iced42

There is no need to be rude!

There is no driver HP Win10 for your PC as well, when you did the update that you were MS drivers - that offer only basic features.

You do not Win10 BIOS update because HP does not certify your PC for Win10 and, therefore, has not produced any BIOS Win10 updated.

HP has released no timetable for when, or if, they perform BIOS updates for older machines.
