Update to iMovie on Apps Store

I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid2010) running on OS X El Capitan Version 10.11,3

When Version 10.1.1 iMovie was released January 20, 2016 I updated and installed successfully on January 21, 2016

Thereafter he continued to appear as an update is available to be installed, and once more, it has been reinstalled successfully on 10 March 2016

After checking a few days later in the Apps Store for any other update he has re-emerged as an exceptional update

Can what steps I take now that this "update" removed from the app store?

First check your application directory and make sure you have not an older version of double useless to iMovie.  So try to reindex Spotlight Reindexing take awhile.  Let go of the day to the next.

  • Each update of the Mac App Store downloads and installs twice

When I hit "update" for an application on the Mac App Store, it downloads, installs and continues to show an update. I hit "update" again, let it download and install once more. Even after waiting a few minutes in between.

It seems that when I click on "update all", apps always download and install both times, but automatically, without having to double click me. It is even clearer that this behavior occurs when one of the applications is open, I get the warning twice as much as the application runs.

This has been going on during some time, perhaps at the time of the update to El Capitan.

None of these applications are installed in several locations on my Mac.

I tried the advice of following Linc on this thread and delete/var/folders/zz/zyxvpxvq6csfxvn_n00000s0000068, but it did not help.

Please test after taking each of the steps that you have not already tried it. Stop when the problem is resolved. Back up all data before making any changes.

    1. open a search window by pressing the command-F key combination in the Finder. Select the Mac as the scope of research and the research of the app (s) in question by name. Delete all obsolete or duplicate copies that you find.

    2. If the search results appear to be inaccurate, rebuild the Spotlight index. If you try to search now, there will be an indication that the indexing is in progress.

    3. triple - click anywhere in the line below on this page to select this option:

    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.appstore

A right click or Ctrl-click on the line and select

Services ▹ reveal in Finder (or just to reveal)

of the contextual menu.*, a file must open with a selected item. Quit the application runs. Move selected item to the trash. Restart the application and test.

    * If you do not see the item context menu copy the selected text in the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. In the Finder, select

Go ▹ go to the folder...

from the menu bar and paste it into the box that opens by pressing command + V. You won't see what you pasted a newline being included. Press return.

    4. If the previous steps do not resolve the problem, leave each app in question and uninstall it by following the instructions on this page. Alternatively, you can drag it into the Applications to the trash and empty folder. You have created the data files will be preserved. In Spotlight, check that there is now no copy of the application on your system. Download your purchase history in the App Store.

With the help of iPhone 4 with iOS 9.2.1

After Update 9.2, then 9.2.1 I update applications download in iTunes and sync then peripheral.  9 app and iTunes updates show that they are copied and synchronized.  But the insignia of the App Store on iPhone still shows 9 available updates.  In the App Store, the 9 apps show as 'open', but 'install all' is grayed out.  I opened a few apps in the App Store or on the usual icon, and they seem to work ok.  I tried to restart and reset, but badge always shows a number.

BTW, have also an old iPad and iPad Air now with 9.2.1 and this issue is not present.

  • App Store - we could not complete your update

I'm looking for ideas on the next few steps.  When I try to update software via the App Store (any software that has an update, including pages, Xcode, or try to get El Capitan) I get the following message ", we could not complete your update.  The distribution of product file could not be verified.  It may be damaged or is not signed. »

    My computer:

-Running OS X version 10.10.5 Yosemite

    -Mid-2012 Macbook Pro

    What I've done so far:

-Used Time Machine to go back in 6 weeks for previous backups... same problem

    -Rebuilt the Spotlight Index

-Activity monitor used to kill and restart the following process: Storeaccountd, storedownloadd, storeassetd, storeinappd

-Removed existing App store Cache by removing the uid/users / / library/caches/store *.

-Removal of existing preferences to store the App by removing the uid/users / / library/preferences/store *.

Unfortunately, no success in all these cases.  You have any ideas what to do next?

    I also tried...

-Reinstall the operating system from scratch.  This does not solve the problem

Re-boot in safe mode.  Safe mode allowed me to accept updates from the App Store, but it would be really nice to not be in Mode safe all the time.

You have ideas on what to try next?

    Hello world

On the updates available in my 'app store' app (on my iMac) I have an availability (or invitation lol) to upgrade El capitan to 10.11.1 but my version installed (and functional) of the El capitan is 10.11.2!

What to do so the app store will be takes this into account?

    Thanks in advance

    Alain

Is the value of the App Store to download automatically, you can change these settings in system preferences.

El Capitan 10.11.2 is software in beta, you are registered for the beta versions.

That said the about this Mac.

Your 'profile' on these forums seems to be out of date, if you have an iMac G5 and 10.5.6 you would be unable to

    upgrade to El Capitan.

  • App Store downloaded the wrong Version of iMovie - update cannot

I recently tried to update 10.1 10.1.1 to iMovie and I noticed that when the iMovie update appeared, it was 10.1.  He eventually changed 10.1.1 but after I downloaded and installed, I noticed I still had installed 10.1, and since the App Store think it downloaded and installed 10.1.1 I can't upgrade to the latest version.  Is there a way I can force the App Store to check the version of iMove I installed and see if it can be updated?

Hide the application installed on your Mac to the trash. Go to purchases and download iMovie. To download the latest full version of the application.
