  Without ' alter session enable parallel DML ", I can see the parallel session in v$ px_session thus." And the execution time has been shortened. This proves without this statement, the DML is also run in parallel.

  I prefer the suspicion out of the COMPLEX_VIEW. This way, only this application forces the suspicion. If you put the indicator in the COMPLEX_VIEW, any other query on COMPLEX_VIEW (or Assembly of COMPLEX_VIEW to another view or a table) would also "encode" indicator in its execution. You don't then isolation parallel query to only where it is needed.

  If you put the parallel indicator in SELECT it (or view), the query is parallelized. This does not necessarily mean that the INSERT is parallelized. What you see v$ px_session are only slaves to PQ to SELECT.
  You must ALTER SESSION ACTIVATE PARALLEL DML and add the PARALLEL indicator in the INSERT.

• Update Windows 10 question about the music stored on your computer

  In theory, your music should be affected by changing to 10 Windows, but it is wise to make sure that nothing is lost by creating full copies of all important personal files (music more documentation pictures and videos) away from your computer before the upgrade. The best bet is an external hard drive USB - sizes range from 250 GB upwards - a similar in size to your pc would be a good thing. Copy music to it and check that the drive is in good working order and if you are happy, start copying everything on. Prevention is better than cure, and there have been a lot of posts on these forums of people who have lost things because something was wrong when upgrading. Another tip... check with your pc manufacturer's support Web site to see if any of their components need update prepares first. This is often overlooked. -Ric.

  the documentation says that this PARALLEL suspicion may by select statements used in as PARALLEL (emp 8). I've also seen some syntaxes like PARALLEL, PARALLEL 8, PARALLEL (8) and in each case the steps in execution plans are the same, but the assigned cost was a little different between each version (but much lower than for a query without this suspicion).

• General question about the updates and version number

  I have a general question about versions and update.  I'm new on this and am in the deep end of learning I want.

  You can right-click the border of the cluster and choose "arrange control cluster...". "The user interface is not as intuitive as it could be, but it will allow you to reorder items.
