  I tried to recreate the mailing list (49 names!), no change. I used this (and other mailing lists) for years, so I'm positive, that it ruptured during the last update to Thunderbird. I hope that you appoint it as a critical issue since mailing lists are a crucial function of a mail client. More I do several mailings a month to this list, and typing in 49 names each time by hand isn't funny (just finished with the message of today ' hui).

  I had a problem sending mail to a list that I had used successfully in Eudora. Imported from Eudora and it has not been accepted in Thunderbird with the above error message. My name of the list was of 2 words. I deleted the space between the 2 words and can now send mail to this list successfullly.

Updated to 38.1.0 this morning, after prompting and my ability to send electronic mail was immediately compromised (ability to receive was not affected). Tried a bit of tinkering (more disabled firewall, etc.) in vain and had to reinstall 31.7 to retrieve features. You will need to disable auto update the program tries to update itself again, I thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone else encountered a problem.

• No options display remote content message after update to Thunderbird version 31.0

  Version of Thunderbird 31.0 updated via his usual auto update and now I can't see the remote content of new messages.

  If you have restarted with disabled modules? Help menu > restart with disabled modules.

  V31 has significant changes in the UI and it could well cause problems in modules and themes that stable for years.

• Lightning fails after update to Thunderbird

      I have updated Thunderbird to the latest Version and now Lightning does not seem to want to re-populate. It will not allow me to switch between  different displays (Day, Week, Month). Also the TASK entries are no longer available.
     How do I re-synch to the appropriate file, and where are they please?

  Have you checked the updates for your add ons after update to Thunderbird. Each new version of Thunderbird is a matching version of lightning. Looks like you have not upgraded the lightning.

  We went from DSL to FIOS. As a result, I received a new email address, but arranged with Verizon to use my original lequipetv.fr e-mail address. I had no access to mail the original account for several weeks after the conversion to FIOS. For some reason, at that time, that I've updated Thunderbird, the original e-mail address and the password were no longer recognized by Verizon. After working with them, they were able to restore access. But then, later that day, I was unable to open a session. Back to Verizon... went through the same procedure and got things restored again. It has been a few days now. If all goes well, it will continue to do so indefinitely.

  I had the same problem.  But finally found a solution.  If your listing is similar to mine, then keep.  XP Media Center Edition 2005 (sp2).  AMD Athlon 64 x 2 Dual-Core, HP a1630n desktop computer.

  Go to the HP website, search for sp37394-XP sp3 Upgrade utility Microsoft for systems equipped with AMD processors.

  No, it's just a system update.  It is a lot like an update of the service pack in the old days.  I recommend it to everyone, 8.1 Windows is so much better than 8.0.  All around, it corrects problems as much, making more user-friendly interface and huge performance (it uses about half the memory).

  2. Open Safari and see if the problem returns.
     • If the issue is returned, you have identified the add-on causing the problem. Do not use or contact its manufacturer for an updated version.
     • If the question does not return, quit Safari and put back another file.
