Update Vista SP1 RUIN my computer__

I decided to download SP1 for my windows vista computer, and everything happened is gone well until the download starts in the process of starting my computer, like before representing, I decided to open a session. Just after that he asks me "Start windows normally" I say Yes. Then it loads a little, THEN, the worst of all things, a black screen appears and up it starts downloading files. It say 0/96000 files downloaded, it ends by turns on and gets up to 28831/96000. Then it just STOPS! It's like the entire computer freezes. The thing remains to 28831/96000 and just continues to blink, I waited hours for it to start going again, but it doesn't. There's just the same thing. I have no way to get to my desktopeither because the download starts before that I'm still here. Someone please tell me how I can solve this problem. I have to get on this cpu tonight really bad. Thanks - Jake

I downloaded and installed the driver from the BT monitor and it does not change anaything. I installed the drivers of BT stack, but it doesn't

    Please can someone help me?

    Much appreciated,

In such situations, there are two sides. It will be interesting to know if there is a problem if you try to connect another BT device to your laptop. Try it with your mobile phone if BT is available.
I can't imagine the BT device doesn't properly work.

Have you tried to contact Logitech technical support? Maybe they have the solution to this.

All you have done is OK, but I can imagine that that SP1 of Vista SP3 in Windows XP Home edition can perform or certain disorders.

Please check other BT device functionality and display the results.

  • Cannot update Vista SP1, the computer restarts and goes into repair mode.

Im trying to install SP1 on a laptop with Vista installed. Everything is fine and the installation complete the part 2 or 3, then restarts. After that, I'll get the progress bar of vista for a few moments, then the screen goes black for a bit and then the computer restarts. If I restore to before SP1 has been installed on the computer is fine. I've run the preparation tool before installing SP update and that did not help either. Last know well is no help either. Any ideas?

  • Guard re-setting to update Windows Update Vista SP1 successfully, but it never appears in the list of installed updates!

This happened for months and I just found out 3 days ago.  If you look at the history of the update, you see that SP1 has been installed successfully for 14 months (more than 50 successful install of SP - 1).  I was prompted to investigate the automatic update of Windows, is that it takes forever for this system to stop and start.  He is constantly confuguring or install updates and there is no stopping it most of the time.  I can't seem to get it to start in SafeMode as he zips through even if the f8 key is pressed and causing a beep.

At first I restored to an earlier point, but noted that there was very little to choose restore points.  I contacted HP and they recommended a difficulty of their site that helps with updates.  I ran and persistent .net updates succeeded (However, he is the one who seems to be back).  I ran the program of preparation for Service Pack 1 on the site of Ms.  I ran the program fix - it on the site of Ms.

    Hi wine,

If you can get a full version of disc Vista, you can read the following article and try to perform a repair starter or the system restore.

What are the system recovery options in Windows Vista?

If you still experience the problem, try a Checkdsk to repair problems related to bad sectors, lost clusters, reticulate files and directory errors.

    a. Insert the installation disc.

    b. restart your computer.

    c. click on the Start button, click the arrow next to the lock buttonand then click restart. If you are prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.

Note: If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings.

    d. choose your language settings, and then click Next.

    e. in the System Recovery Options menu, click on command prompt.

    f. at a command prompt, type the following command and press on ENTER.

    chkdsk /f /r X: ( drive letter)

    g. press y when you are prompted to check the drive the next time the system restarts.

    h. restart the computer.

Important: Running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data can be lost.

  • Update to Vista SP1 KB936330 successful but on reboot, I am asked to re - install the update for SP1

I need help to install Vista Service Pack 1 successfully.

I'm trying to upgrade my Dell Inspiron 1720 32 bit to Windows 7 since Vista. Assessment update Windows7 SW told me that I had to first upgrade to Vista SP1. I downloaded and installed the Vista SP1 and the Windows Update Troubleshooter said "Update successful" so I bought and downloaded the Windows 7 SW update. However, I checked one last time before making the update for Windows 7 and Windows Update reports the update SP1 is required. I did the above at least 4 times for consistent results as described above. I rebooted at least 3 times after the updated Vista SP1.

If the Windows Update Troubleshooter tells me that I need Vista Service Pack 1 and still Windows Update report shows clearly that I have Vista Service Pack 1 installed KB936330.

I thought that maybe try to update to the Vista SP2 but it says I can't do it until SP1 is successfully installed.  I'm stuck and I need help.

Hmmm - that sounds as if there is a junction (I thought I had checked for that).

    Please, check the following

    SFC /scanfile=c:\windows\system32\tcpmon.ini

    What result do you get?

I agree with Jason. Sooner or later, you will see that SP1 listed in Windows update Center.
To install SP1, you must use the automatic update of Windows because the size is much smaller.

  • Do not get the latest updates in my machine Acer 64-bit Vista SP1?

    Hello.

I've noticed lately that machine of Vista SP1 for my old Acer OEM of six months (all updates since 05/26/2010) don't show me not updated like today even if I force a manual check. It only offers me SP2.

MS changes something gives me not the today before the SP2 updates? I know that SP0 gets no updates as of 4/2010. I read SP1 which is still supported.

That is what it is? Thank you in advance. :)

Finally, I see updates. I wonder why he has no sooner.

Application server, probably. Criticism of three 3 & 10 (7) important security updates were released today as well a several steps the .NET Framework security updates, an update of the Windows Mail Junk e-mail filter and the latest version of the malicious software removal tool.

Among the important updates (e.g., MS10-033 & MS10-041) consist of 2 or 3 separate updates. Depending on your version of Windows, your computer could be offered 15-16 updated separated. It will take a week or more for all the computers in the world to offer these updates through to THE.

It took more than an hour to install nine 9 updates manually here (WinXP SP3).

I've had this problem for awhile now and it seems to be no details on how to stop the resulting error code.

This update seems important.  I can download all other updates without problem and downloaded system preparation tool already and tried to install the update by downloading it manually - the same problem occure.

  • Has managed to recover from the infinite loop restart Vista SP1 "configuration updates stage 3 of 3 0%"- but Windows Update always wants me to install Vista SP1!

WIndows Update asks me to install Vista SP1. I did and got into the infamous infinite loop of SP1 (infinite loop ' configuration updates stage 3 of 3 0% "with Vista SP1). Hello. I wanted to run Visual Studio 2010 Express edition on my Vista Home Premium, but ran into way too many problems. First of all, download have not installed because of a problem with the installation of .NET framework v4.0. Then I tried to VS 2008, but has encountered the same problem with the .NET framework. Whenever I try to run Windows update, it displays error Code 80096001 and said "Windows could not check for new updates. So I tried to download .net directly from microsoft downloads, but whenever I try to install it, it says I need to turn on .net "turn on or off windows features", in the control panel. I tried, but the list is completely empty, it shows nothing at all. I downloaded the vista sp1, but it too installation stops with error code 0 x 80096001.
I tried to disable my anti-virus (avg free). Windows Defender does not initially upward or through subsequent attempts to run it. It shows the same error code. Please advise on how I can solve these problems and use Visual Studio... it's very frustrating because I never had these problems with XP... everything worked.
