Update Windows 10 1511, build 10586.14 breaks my WiFi

Just this last version of Windows 10 pushes my ALL NEW Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO 700 and he broke the wifi on the computer that was working fine before.

To reset the device to factory settings then went through the process carefully (taking up hours of time) and he broke again. Adapter WiFi does not appear in Device Manager.

This is a JOKE! If I don't get this fixed in 2-3 days then this computer goes back to the shop and ask for a full refund.

THIS PROBLEM!

NF1.

Thanks for the reply. I managed to fix the problem last night by uninstalling the driver wifi, but ensure that the option to completely remove the drivers and files is checked. A reinstallation of the driver seemed to correct the problem. I'll be followed to make sure that it still works today.

  • The update of Windows 10 1511 reboot loop Bootcamp BSOD ACPI. SYS

It is a copy of my thread to http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-performance/windows-10-update-1511-reboot-loop-bootcamp/8653... as I was asked to post here by the Microsoft Support Engineer.

    Hello

Friday night, I went to bed with a working machine. I had a late 2013 Mac Pro BootCamp running with a Windows 10 Pro installed, the Build version before 1511.

On Saturday morning, I woke up to my PC restart itself over and over again. It seems that Windows Update has decided to put a new version of Windows 10 on my machine without my knowledge. I discovered this after restoring an acronis backup (which took a few hours because of the number of incremental backups)

Occasionally (about 1 in 20 restarts) it would blue screen with an error:

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (ACPI.sys)

But the rest of the time he would just start, flash a window for a millisecond that says (I think) winlaunch.exe, then restart.

I tried a lot of things to sort it, including:

    (1) restore from a backup, acronis to Friday morning, running sfc/scannow, and then runs the update

    (2) the creation of a recovery USB, enter the console, change the boot to legacy method, so I can F8, then goes into all security modes and mode of illegal product, but I can find where windows 10 now puts the boot log

    (3) restored from acronis, switched to mac, created a new bootcamp drivers usb, switched to windows and run the option 'fix drivers' before performing the update.

Ntbtlog.txt is not anywhere on the partition. I ran a dir /s > a.txt then open this a.txt in Notepad and searched him.

I don't know where to go from here. I can acronis restore of a windows 10 work machine the morning before installing mandatory 1511. I don't know how to delay the update no more, I noted during a restore I had delay on updates that are why it has arisen just now.

I do not know how to find where this BSOD ACPI.sys will come (even if it happens so rarely) or this that its trying to load just before it crashes (so I can try to delete the driver etc. by the front restored windows to upgrade)

I guess the widowed causes 10 to do a restore, then the restore fails.

Overall, I get at the end of my wits with this, to go a completely Windows 10 installation work Friday to more than two wasted days, restore backups, try again, rinse and repeat. It's now Monday morning and I am posting this as a ditch last attempt to solve the problem, your help would be appreciated.

If you need more information please let me know the location of the files, etc, or their names and I will do my best to have copies available for you.

I will now restore the backup again, uninstall loading of drivers, and then try the update of windows for the 4th or 5th time.

    Thanks in advance,

    Julian

Woo Hoo, I've solved the problem!

I uninstalled the drivers of graphics from AMD (with AMD Driver Cleaner) and Arcronis True Image Home 2013 at the same time, then let Windows Update run its course. Now I have a machine with Windows Version 1511 10!

It took me 4 days of downtime...

I hope this helps someone else.

  • After the 24 Firefox update, Windows 7 64-bit breaks on reboot. The network in the taskbar icon is not ready (blue circle stopped).

After 24 of Firefox update, Windows 7 breaks after the reboot. The network in the taskbar icon is not ready (blue circle on the wireless network icon). But I can't do much. I can't open the network and sharing Center (never opened). Even the Task Manager hangs when I click to show processes from all users. I have to do a system restore for a network working again. I never even launched Firefox.

Wow... I finally have the solution. Windows updates have been applied at the same time I updated Firefox. Bluetooth driver is what broke (which is part of the Centrino wireless). I ended up installing the latest driver from Intel, Windows Update, and then update Firefox... and all is well.

I thank very you much for all your help. Take care.

  • Satellite click 10: Impossible to apply Windows Update to version 1511

    Hey all,.

Despite having clean temporary files, files of previous windows installation and whatever other useless, I could only about 7-8 GB of free space, which proved to be insufficient for Windows Update to version 1511.

He suggested to use an external drive to manage the update files, so I put on a 64 GB microSD card. Despite this choice, however, it still can not be updated. He will ask for additional free space on C: ~8.9Gb / for ~8.3Gb.

There must be a way for these 32 GB MEM manage Windows updates, surely?

Format you the SD card? You must format it first on the machine. research, formatting of 10 SD card windows. Better to put in a spare SD card and later to keep this card since it will have a copy of your update on this for future resets. Then pop in another good SD card for storage of the future, a few apps etc. won't go into it, but you can get them to do. Search, get your applications to store and operate on external drives. Do not use another anti-virus package except the built in windows defender, it is particularly light in size and won't run out of storage space and it you will protect well enough. You can safely remove all the stuff from Toshiba that comes with it to make room. also, there so many things on windows 10 without that you can do research stuff that you really need not windows 10.

  • iCloud 5.1 fails and can not reinstall after Win10 build 10586

Yesterday my laptop with Windown 10 Pro N has been updated to build 10586.

Since then, iCloud connector is broken. No synchronization on Photos etc etc.

So as usual, I tried the action known as: disconnection from iCloud, Uninstall.

After uninstalling, I restarted the laptop and downloaded the last connector (5.1.0.34) Apple iCloud.

Now it start drinking again that he needs the 'Media feature pack "...

"Ok" I thought... Maybe it was put back by winning 10 build 10586...

Then downloaded and installed: 'Media feature pack for Windows 10 N and KN for Windows 10 editions' (Windows 10-KB3010081-x 64.msu).

And indeed, it was not installed so windows installed.

Restarted again just to be sure...

Began to reinstall icloud, but always the same question asking missing "Media feature pack".

I've found this thread: Missing Media Feature Pack Windows 10 x 64 V5.0

But the answer 'resolved' is not applicable to this situation that there is no 'typical' to 'enable '.

Someone at - it an idea?

I'm sure this has to do with Windows 10 build 10586... but I can't solve it.

    Thank you

    MCA

I found it!   his disorder, but here it is.

If you have a Windows "N" or "KN" editing (I win 10 Pro N) then you need the "Media Feature Pack" to install the connector to iCloud.

It is no secret more for most people on this forum.

    But wait what he...

If you have recently updated your Win 10 to release 1511 build aka 10586, then you need a different version of this "Feature Media Pack".

    So:

    -Win 10 (K) N FRONT 1511 create aka 10586--> you need: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3010081

    -Win 10 (K) N AFTER THAT 1511 build aka 10586--> you need https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3099229

To make it even more complicated MS made a mistake in naming citation:

    Microsoft:

Note the installer of this package identifies by error the update as "Feature Pack for Windows (KB3010081)" However, it's the package of correct update for Windows 10 N or Windows 10 KN build 1511.

Hope that the above explanation will help people with the same question.

    It has helped me

    See you soon,.

  • TP8 - Win10 Build 10586 - Flight Mode 'problem '.

Since having upgrade 10586 build Win10 professional, I meet the following phenomenon:

After the start of the system, the 'flight' Mode - button lights up blue, although the flight mode is not enabled, see photo.

Everyone had the same experience with the new Windows 10 Build on the TP8?

I saw this on multiple devices (a 3, a 900 Yoga and a ThinkPad 10) since the release of Windows 10 1511. She is also reported (often) in Windows feedback.

It's Windows at fault, not your TP8 as far as I can see

  • Dell Inspiron 7559 10 Anniersary update Windows PROBLEM.

    Hi all

My problem is... No, not quite so, my PROBLEM is of Windows 10 anniversary update gets downloaded, installed and does not again and again. When it passes through Windows Update Center everything is going well, but eventually, after a reboot, I get a notification that the system could not install the update. No other information or error codes provided. After Windows Update Center detects the same birthday update and everything is in the circle. I called Microsoft Support three times with different engineers but with the same end result - the problem still not solved. I used MediaCreationTool utility as well. With this utility, the whole process is going well, but eventually I get the popup window that says "an error occurred during the installation of update. When I tried to reinstall Windows 10 of the image created by MediaCreationTool I got the 0xd0000034 error code (finally! something that I can use to find a solution!), but searching through the Internet of this code did not help to resolve this problem. Other updates are installed without any problems. The problem with the update of the anniversary.

    Some info on my laptop.

    On the system:

    Version 1511

    10586.633

Windows 10 home edition unilingual (Russia)

    On the material.

    16 GB, I added extra 8Gb and I installed SanDisk SSD 256 GB SD8SN8U256G1122.

Everything else is a standard laptop configuration 7559.

Some specifics about what I did for my laptop. As I mentioned previously, I installed 8 GB of additional memory (memory identical to that installed chip) and SSD hard drive. I buy the license for Paragon migrate OS 4.0 SSD and moved my system hard drive to SSD. After this error free movement of the system works without any problem.

I have McAfee Antivirus. I uninstalled before the update, but this had no effect on the outcome of the update.

    I've updated all the drivers.

It lasts more than a month. Please recommend how to solve this problem.

Download the .iso image file, make a USB Bootable with Rufus (installation program by using the formatted GPT for UEFI BIOS and FAT32 partition scheme). Then try to clean install. Use own Diskpart if this fails (you have your system image to restore failure).

  • Can I update windows 10 on Sprout?

If I update windows 10, can I also use sprout function? (Scan, projector, sprout apps, etc.).
    No probpem?

I agree with ray1204 on this: HP must assess and update or do say us that it is impossible.

I have not run Windows 10 on Sprout; However, I've been running on a laptop, and I've done it since the Insider program began.  I'm now up to build 10130.  I would not risk running Windows 10 on Sprout, so if someone else did, I'm interested.

Windows 10 previews in stability and utilization have improved, but the user interface is different in Windows 8.  Windows 8 has a desk and a splash screen that seem quite distinct.  Windows 10 looks like a desktop and applications, the functions file, etc. appear on a screen separated when you click on the Windows button.  Which is kinda the same, but now modern applications and heritage applications all play together.  The store and the browser are new and very different, etc.

Shoot, we all discovered, is his own strange beast.  The use of the desktop screen and start with the germination environment is quite strange.  Manual of the developer makes more mysterious, in my opinion.

I think that HP has got to do some work on Windows 10 and probably change Sprout.  Which may not happen until the release of the "final" Windows 10.

    Patience is my suggestion.

  • ThinInstaller on Windows 10 (1511)

    Hello community,

We use the technology ThinInstaller for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 without problem using the following command:
    Action research %systemdrive%\TEMP\ThinInstaller\Thininstaller.exe/cm-A INSTALL - repository "\\ShareName\dfs\appl\Lenovo\TVSU_repository" - noicon - includerebootpackages 1,3,4 - noreboot - log '% SystemDrive%\TEMP\ThinInstaller\tvsulog.txt '.

Since I use Windows 10 (1511) this no longer works. Anyone having the same problems?
We still use the latest version ThinInstaller available from Lenovo, which does not officially support Windows 10. Although some people mentioned that it works somehow on Windows 10 for them. We really want to use ThinInstaller for our automatic deployments again, as it has proved to be very dependent.

The GUI tool to update for the Lenovo system which uses the same repository works without any problem on Windows 10.

Using the silent settings for TVSU just seems to ignore my settings...

Any help would be much appreciated.

PS: I can post the logs ThinInstaller and our database.xml if wanted!

    The current version is 1.2.0015.

  • Updated Windows originally several problem

I've updated my Windows 7 RC Build 7100 yesterday for the first time since mid-November. The reason why I waited if long for this was because the last time I put Windows Update, I had the same problems I encounter now.

Downloading it and installing updates to date is fine, but when I restart the computer, it takes 5 minutes to get to the desktop after entering my user information. When the computer starts Finally, Aero is disabled. On my first newspaper after the update, all the programs that I had pinned to the taskbar disappeared, and I got desktop icons on my screen, which had not been there in a few months at least. At the start of any web browser, all my favorites have disappeared, as well as any customizations. I can't start Windows Messenger because I get error code 84cc0020. Restart the computer restored the icons in the taskbar, but the lack of Aero persisted. After using the system restore to a point before the update, all that changes, is that I have more installed updates, while all the other problems remain.

Have you heard that Windows 7 RC has a time out?

"You will get two weeks notice and then from March 1, 2010, your PC will start to shut down every two hours. The RC will expire on June 1, 2010. Updates for the system will remain active until you decide to upgrade or replace the operating system. Updates at a time before that time expire since Windows 7 is already out. »

Apparently, you can't pass a RC version and you need to reinstall the version final Windows 7 realsed.
