Update Windows KB975364 gets error 0x8024200D
Last week, I installed a new hard drive in my laptop and reinstalled Windows Vista Ultimate Edition. He went through a bunch of updates of windows every day until I'm pretty up to date now. My problem is that whenever I start, it tries to install windows update kb975364 and it gets the 8024200d error code. I was not able to get information on why this happens. I tried to download and install the update manually and it says that it does not apply to my computer. If this is true then why is my automatic windows update tries to load it?
azsnerd,
I suggest that you run the following to verify that everything is good on your system.
After executing these then clean restart your system and try the update again.

Hello
. Have you done any recently changed on the computer before this problem?
You can see the steps listed in the article below and check if you are able to run the Windows updates successfully.
Temporary connection related errors may occur when you use Windows Update or Microsoft Update:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/836941
Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Pavillion23: Windows 7 will not be updated. I get error code 800706F7.
Windows 7 will not be updated. I get error code 800706F7. I removed the update painful KB304394, which of course still blocking updates, earlier. Since then, I find in the history of the update that almost most of the windows update attempt failed. (A couple for Windows Defender succeeded). Now, when I try to install an update manually, I get the 800706F error code.
This is what Windows Update tells me on the article that I tried to install:

you are prompted to install KB2509553, but get error 0x8024200D
original title: you are prompted to install KB2509553, but get error 0x8024200D and no record of success to date in Add/Remove programs
It is now the second time that we asked for ASSISTANCE for the exactly the same problem or a problem?
We did a disk clean up and other tasks recommended in the first email response however it has not solved the problem? We don't have time to spend hours on something and have no will of MSN? Also, we have installed and run MSN fix and that did not work either?
17/05/2012, you are prompted to install windows to date KB2509553, one on the successful 17/05/2012, six on 18/05/2012 successful, we failed on 19/05/2012
and 3 successful on 19/05/2012, but when we check why so far failed us we raise error 0x8024200D and nothing for this date is reflected in our add/remove programs?
I think there is a problem with that, so far as if it actually installed correctly it would not take ten 10 installs place same day KB2509553?
Read this e-amil completely before answering and wasting my time telling me to do things I do every day by running Norton 360 version 6!
Hi, Gordon J.RAVEY,.
· Did you do changes on the computer before the show?
· You are able to install other updates successfully?
Follow these methods.
Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software.

Method 2: Put the computer in a clean boot state to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
