  When I try to launch the HP Solution Center, get the error like - "HP Solution Center cannot work because your device installation is not complete. Please connect the USB cable or re-run the Setup program from the installation to a network installation CD. "If it does not complete the installation, or you do not have the CD, access the HP help files by clicking on the Start Menu.

  HP Solution Center worked very well with Windows8. Windows updates updated Windows8.1 and Solution Center stopped Frank.

  Any suggestions to fix this? What is the Windows8.1 question upgraded or because of something else?

  This service is part of your printing service which is panic for some reason any.

  You could try the following:

  If you can do this:

  • Better you can... Close all your programs and shut down your computer... If you HAVE to, press the power button / stop and accident-stop the computer.  He is picky about, but it should not break anything.

  Hi I restarted recently a r2 2012 in esxi 5.1 windows machine managed by vcenter. After restarting the machine is black display screen. In safe mode without problem with video.   I tried the troubleshooting as advised in https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2897632 method. but only the first update (Windows8.1 - KB2887595-v2-x 64.msu) is able to install in safe mode.

  Windows 8 has MSE as standard antivirus and anti-spyware feature.  If you upgraded a system Windows 7 to Windows 8, you may well need to uninstall what you have.  I would recommend against replacement Windows 7 for a whole bunch of reasons.  I installed it on a different partition (which you can easily create).

  To provide the proper resolution, I would need more information on your side.

  1. do you receive any error messages? If Yes, what is the exact error message?

  2. What is the item number knowledge base of the installed Windows Update recently?

  Method 1:
  If files are missing from the library, I suggest you try the following steps.

  (a) go to the libraries in Windows Explorer.

  (b)with the right button no matter what folder gives you an error.

  (c)delete the folder.

  (d)with the right button on the "libraries" folder

  (e), select "restore default libraries".

  The folder you just deleted will now be back and fully functional with all your documents safe and sound.

  Method 2:
  If the problem persists, I suggest you to virus scanner to make sure that the computer is virus-free.

  You get 8.1 against the store Windows, instead of Windows Update. You should always run Windows Update first, though, to make sure you have all the updates that are required for the 8.1 update.

  8.1 brings a start button (no Vista/7 globe, but a square version) but not the menu. You could always use a 3rd party tool to do this.

  And I will leave the answer on returning to 8 to someone else - I have not tried, so I'm not the best Advisor.
