  Thanks for posting on the Microsoft Answers forum.  We cannot guide you more precisely by changing the BIOS settings that the BIOS settings are specific to your motherboard.  However, most (if not all) parameters of the BIOS have an option to restore the default BIOS (sometimes called "default opitimized").  It may be an option in the menu that you highlight, then press enter or it can be assigned to an F key and States at the bottom of the screen, press F? for the default settings.  I hope this helps.  If you are still not able to reset, check with the manufacturer of PC for more information about the BIOS.   Have you tried using SafeMode w/command invites to perform a system restore?

  1. Press the power button to turn on the computer.

  You have now returned the computer to a previous restore point using Mode safe mode with command prompt.

Since Firefox has been updated very recently I can always connect to e-mail but I can't read the contents of the message, I get a blank screen the e-mail title spirit only.   None of the suggestions worked for me, but thanks to everyone for their efforts. I think I saw a suggestion of upgrading to Firefox 8 - I did and it solved the problem.
