Updated GarageBand 10.1.2

A few days ago don't have GarageBand 10.1.2 day and iTunes 12.4 update of the App Store updates. All updated OK but the Launchpad icon in the dock now has a "loading bar" below, and at the opening of Launchpad it shows a greyed GarageBand icon with a loading bar and 'Paused' written instead of the name of the application. It cannot be opened from here, but it can be opened from the Applications folder (and it's 10.1.2). Did reboot and fsck too. Even a DiskWarrior regeneration but the only thing that has changed in this regard was the greyed Launchpad icon under a silhoette of GarageBand icon to a box empty to the dotted line. The computer works fine in every other sense. Any ideas?

  • missing GarageBand instruments after update

After I updated Garageband to the latest version, I lost most of the instruments. Projects using, for example, "Harpsichord" always opens and plays well in Garageband 10.1.2

But new projects in 10.1.1 do not have this tool available. I tried to download essential sounds, sounds available everything and reinstall Sound Library with no result. Thanks for any advice.

GarageBand is not an instrument of the harpsichord by default.  There was an orchestra harpsichord installed by the Jam Pack 1 and logic added some harpsichords.

Have you ever Jam Pack installed?

How to Garageband 10.1.2?  Did you uninstall GarageBand 11?  If you have uninstalled any previous version of GarageBand before joining GarageBand 10.1.2 you may need to reinstall any JamPack you used, or old instruments of GarageBand 11.

Harpsichord instruments will show in the legacy of your instrument library section, if they are still installed.

    Anyone had this before?

    Hello

try to clear the cache of the Apple Store files by typing ten times on the icon star on the background. The Appstore is charging and your problem could be solved.

  • Question of GarageBand 10.1.1

Hi, I recently updated Garageband and now instruments from MainStage 3 no longer appear. I can't find the library of instruments of Garageband anywhere. I have tried/Library/Application Support / Library/Application Support/logic and Garageband (I am not Pro Logic). Help, please!

I have the same problem. I'm on a Mac mini with OS X El Capitan. I have just updated to the new GarageBand to find that my MainStage 3 instruments have gone. The strange thing is, all projects using the instruments continue to function perfectly with them, but they do not appear in the sidebar. MainStage 3 continues to play their show and in the sidebar. In addition, MainStage lists them as downloaded in the Download Manager, and I can find the instruments to/Library/Application Support / GarageBand / Instrument library/Sampler/sampler Instruments.

  • Update are not available with this identifier Apple - iPhoto

    Hello

I bought a MacBook Pro 13 "and for awhile, I had problems with the update of the application iPhoto. I used to have the "Update not available with this Apple ID" problem with updated Garageband and Pages too, but it somehow sorted on itself and someday update just worked. But I've had this problem with iPhoto for a long time now and I can't update. I tried to put it in the trash as someone advised him in another thread with the same problem and then I tried to get the app on the AppStore but I can't even find it. There is simply no app iPhoto for me. Someone had a similar problem?

Any advice would be appreciated, thank you very much in advance!

and then I tried to get the app on the AppStore but I can't even find it. There is simply no app iPhoto for me. Someone had a similar problem?

Apple has stopped the development of iPhoto, and it is no longer marketed in the AppStore. The only way to update is by reinstalling, if iPhoto is listed in your purchase history - tab in the App Store purchases.

Purchased from iPhoto on the App Store? Or accept for your AppleID if you bought a Mac with Mac OS X Lion or newer, which came without DVD Installer?

If iPhoto does not appear in your purchase history, you cannot update now longer.  This could be the case, if you have installed iPhoto to an iLife DVD Installer, or it came with an earlier version of Mac OS X on the DVD Installer.

  • Update errors (iPhoto, Garageband) inherited iMac 2011

I've updated an iMac mid-2011 legacy of OS X Lion to El Capitan, and almost everything works, except that the App Store again that Garageband and iPhoto (*) requires the update, but when I try to do updates: "Update not available with this Apple ID" / "this update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by another user or the item has been repaid. or cancelled. "(for Garageband, has always been the same second part of that message; I could have sworn that attempts to update iPhoto used to give another like the one given below after a failed attempt to execute it, but now, it's the same mistake as with Garageband).  After that, I get another message, "We could not complete your request." / "there was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (null) ».

(*) I understand not iPhoto is obsolete, but despite you ask to import from iPhoto, Photos actually seems to have done the job (maybe he did, but I can't be sure if I can't open iPhoto), so I would need to retrieve inherited photos (family).  If it is not possible to update, can someone let me know which directories to go to be safe?

The existing version of iPhoto is 9.2.1 - this will not work and says he needs an update (who, when tried, gives the error message "Point not available" / "the object you requested is not available in the US store.").  The existing version of Garageband is 6.0.4 - this runs, but says it needs an update.

To the best of my knowledge, the previous owner never bought either of these as a separate post (the previous owner never used Garageband and found it annoying that this has been included in the default Mac OS X software), and I don't think that the previous owner has even bothered where was able to set up a Apple ID , so I don't know why these 2 programs to give the above error messages when any other update very well.

    How can I fix it?

When Googling for solutions, the people of problems post answers to always seem to be a little different, although I knew to have duplicates on other readers might cause problems (I can say in advance that I don't have this problem: it happens with any connected storage device).  I tried the solution to drag *.app for these last records in the trash and then retrying App Store, but he wants to charge for Garageband and will not appear iPhoto at all (although it shows for iPhoto Add-ons that are always available).  I also saw a workaround complicated for those who want to stick with iPhoto instead of Photos that is to make a new account to install it (in fact I already did, by making a new account on this computer after the update to El Capitan, even if I get the same errors on the previous owner).  Also, before you just drag *.app for these last files in the Recycle Bin permanently, I need to know if other things must be removed to get rid of them, if they cannot be updated.

Before anyone arrives on my case about do not update the software on the Mac for a long time before Mac OS X El Capitan, also note that the previous owner had problems of health and health problems of the family during the duration of validity as it should have been upgraded, enough to take it past option of discord.

Apologies for any question in double (strangely, putting my question in the search bar or by post in these forums did not turn anything and sent me directly to do this post) or something that should be obvious, these last weeks have been my first experience Mac search in the system (i.e., more than occasional use during the family visit) since the mid-2000s , and this is my first time on these forums.

This you should get a completely restored system so that it was when it was first purchased. After that upgrades should be thin. There is no Apple given ID. All applications must work.

    1. The recovery of Internet startup by pressing Option + command (⌘) r immediately after start-up or that you restart your Mac. Release the keys when you see the Apple logo. Start-up is finished when you see the utility window.
    2. Open utility drive in the Utilities window, then use disk utility to erase your hard disk using the Mac OS extended (journaled) format. Quit disk utility when done.
    3. Choose Reinstall macOS (or reinstall OS X) in the utility window, and then follow the instructions on the screen.
This installs the system provided with your Mac, when it was new.
  • After update 10.11.6 (15G 31) electric guitar Garageband has static fort

    Hi all...

Not sure if it's my audio interface or the recent software update to blame, but this morning, I used my electric guitar with garageband perfectly without any problems. After that, I installed the 10.11.6 (15G 31) put day and after that, electric guitar Garageband a humming noise entry very loud as very intense static. My audio interface is Scarlett Solo that does not any drivers only, it connects via USB and works. If this update wouldn't have happened I could have blamed the device, also the microphone input works fine it's just the presets for electric that give me the question.

Anyone else have problems with electric guitar in Garage band after this update?

Thanks in advance for your time

problem solved. Apparently the fact that the update and the time where the question arose where it's just one of those unfortunate coincidences. It turns out it's the guitar cable. I replaced the cable and everything is back to normal.

  • Impossible to update 10.1.1 to 10.1.2 GarageBand

    I am running Mac OS X on an iMac 27' mid-2011 10.11.5.

GarageBand has been improved normally 10.0 to 10.1.1. and it seems that the 4th

article in the category "shopping". However each tries to launch an update to the App store

I have the 'Open' only choice. I have never received a notification of update in a software update.

I have activated the Debug menu in the App Store, cleared Cookies and choose the Reset Application.

Computer has been restarted several times.

All other proposals on how I have cnet updated to reappear. If I trash GarageBand 10.1.1 store presence in the App

'Purchases' force a free episode of v 10.1.2

GarageBand installed in the Applications folder and named GarageBAnd?  Or rename you it?

If the update does not appear on the AppStore, projector cannot be seen as installed.

Try to move GarageBand in the trash, but do not empty the trash, so you can put it back.

Then restart the AppStore.  'Open' must proceed to "install". Click on "install".

I m using ipad mini I got the app store update message about garageband 2.1.1 and I hv software download full GarageBand via itunes, but cannot be installed software bcz itunes sync error

Try to reset the App Store:

Close the App Store completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and slide up the App Store preview pane until it disappears from the display. Then sign out of the iTunes Store (in the settings).

Then perform a forced reboot. Hold down the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Then reconnect to the iTunes Store.

Also try by going to settings > general > Restrictions > and make sure that iTunes Store, Apps install, delete the Apps and In - App purchases are all under the section allow. Try to install again.

  • GarageBand 10.1.1 update, can't see all the logic instruments

Before joining Garageband 10.1.1 I could see and use all the instruments of my logical instrument library.

After this update, I can't. For example, my guitar options are now limited to:

But logic offer this (and until the upgrade, I think that Garageband has shown the same)

Projects using, for example, 'British battery Lead synth' always open and play well in Garageband 10.1.1

But new projects in 10.1.1 obviously do not have this tool available

    I tried:

    Download essential sounds

Download All Available sounds (this added to some instruments of the Orchestra)

both are now gray and that did not help.

(All logic loops seem to be available in Garageband very well).

    Thanks for any advice.

Some of the missing instruments are appearing for me in the legacy section, when I enter the name in the search field.

Instruments that are completely absent, will play in GarageBand, if I copy draws them from instrument to iNstrument library GarageBAnds logics.

    For example, copy,

    / Library/Application Support/logic/patches/Instrument/guitar/British British Synth Lead.patch/British synth Lead/001 battery battery stack Synth Lead.cst

    TO

    / Library/Application support/library/Track Settings GarageBand/Instrument / software / guitars / British battery Synth Lead.cst

    and restart GarageBand 10.1.1

Correction: He works initially, but now GarageBand is either off or blocked.  He worked for "Tweed picked Synth", but cannot be to ' / British battery Lead synth»  We better wait for a fix for this.
