  Thanks Adamjy12345!  Amazing!  After spending a whole day with MS support yesterday, January 27, 2010 and getting nowhere, I followed your suggestion today and it seems that my troubles with the issue of the kb953297 are more.  I just rebooted and checked, and this time I have not asked me to update .net framework (953297 KB).

  I don't I remember exactly what I've done since the shock of seeing "installed successfully" hit me.  However, for others, I say lets find the netfx files after you run the dotnetfx.exe first the search option of windows classic.  Research others (I am running windows XP PRO) does not work, because I believe that it does not immediately again locate files.  Also, I do not see the file named netfx.msi when I did the search.

  Wait now, new information appears: my memory starts to come back, and I think remember me that * NPD1 * successfully completed the second time I tried without me having to tell her where the * netfx files were; so NDP1.sp1 - KB953297 - X 86 .exe found the files there without my help, even though I've never actually seen the netfx.msi file location!  I hope you have the same chance.  Don't forget to run dotnetfx.exe first, then run the NDP*.exe file at least twice, if it doesn't work the first time.  I know it's illogical, but well, these things are too complicated for me to describe with precision.

  I understand that the software was not automatically installing for the HP Photosmart C7280. I'll try my best to help you with this problem. The software and drivers are not previously installed on the laptop.

  Here is the download page for software HP Photosmart full feature and drivers, download and save to your desktop.  Follow the steps described in this document for the installation of the printer software in Windows 7 for a USB cable connection. Make sure you unplug the USB cable from the computer and wait that you asked before you plug it into the computer.

  My printer is C7100 all-in-one.  My OS is windows 7 - message comes back "could not install any software.

  I recommend traverse "Programs and features" in your control panel and manual uninstall of the printer, then shut down and restart your computer. If the files do not uninstall, then you can have a deeper problem with your operating system.

  Once the software is missing, try again after the above link and by installing the full setting software.

  Print HP 2410 died, but everything on my pc and the set up worked well.   I got the used 2610xi.  I removed the 2410 and tried the disc to instal 2610... She has no cause not windows 7... closed it... went to HP.com and download the driver and 5 updates and then install the driver that seems to be okay and then I did the updates... few of whom said there was no driver for updates to update.   Then I got a message for my PC. I did and then she was installing drivers for, while... and there was a box filled showsing but the last line that says driver failed... but printer showed that he and ready.  I did a scan and it scanned for connection was good... but it would ' t print!  Whenever I hit print it says that I should open a "note" to use this feature...   On the line and went to find this post http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Scanning-Faxing-and-Copying/can-t-install-software-for-all-in-one-photo...   so I followed what was said exactly...   ·        Which is the device that is causing this problem?

  ·        The device works much earlier on this computer?

  ·        You did changes to the computer before this problem started?

  Error code 1 mean that the system was not the ability to configure the device.

  However, you can verify which is the device that is causing this problem and post back the result.

  on my Alienware M17XR4 and it keeps failing.  When I go to the website of AMD driver, it tells me that I am current.  FURTHERMORE, none of my power settings work or I am able to set up the sleep button.

  I use Windows 7 Ultimate

  I was able to fix this by (1) the deactivation of the pilot, (2) by deleting the software on my machine, (3) reboot.  Then re-downloaded the driver and installed.  The reason why it worked, is that my machine is using the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 M as my main graphics card.  If Intel is your only card you may not be able to do what I did...

  I started with Lifecam 3.0 disc without success. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Now, I installed Lifecam 3.5, the download being Microsoft unsuccessfully. When I go to the Device Manager and try to update the driver, I get the error:
