Since the last update of Firefox (Version 4.0.1) I do not see a security lock when I connect my two web sites to secure Bank so am forced to use Internet Explorer for internet banking. I contacted the St George Bank and the ANZ Bank and both say that the problem with Firefox, not their systems. They advise also strongly me to not perform Internet banking unless the security padlock closed is visible in the window secure. The padlock is not visible when I connect secure site of PayPal. Before the upgrade, this problem did not exist and there is no when I use IE. Firefox is my favorite browser.

  • aftering updated firefox to version 8.0, that the Navigator will sail is no longer to any Web site. An error window appears with "unable to connect to the server (where you point)!

One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox in the list of permissions in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

  • Can no longer print anything a Web site when you use FireFox. Have updated to FF, but not other programs added or changed. Get a message "save under *.xps file."

When I try to print, I get a message to save the file as *.xps file, but Mozilla unresponsive when I try it. Can always print from other browsers.

    Hello
My name is Luke and I would be happy to help you with this problem. You get this is because your computer's default printer is defined in the Microsoft XPS Document Writer. If you go the printer settings on your computer and set your printer favorite by default a this problem will be solved. If there are any other questions feel free to answer me.
    Thank you!

I can access sites that I have bookmarked, but if I try to Google, anything I get the error page. This happened after several updates were installed yesterday.

  • Since yesterday (November 6) update, firefox fails to load all web sites (always displays PC html files). I tried restore, nothing helped.

I installed the up-to-date recommendations yesterday (November 6) but is not a restart Firefox. Since the restart of the computer this morning, Firefox has failed to open a Web site from the web. The connection is ok, explore the sites of the loads normally, Firefox opens the tabs as usual, it's just that the content of the pages does not, and after a while, we get out messages like 'connection timed '. HTML files that I have stored on my own hard drive display normally in Firefox.
I tried "restore Firefox", but it did not help.

  • Frequently visited Web site no longer recognizes Firefox browser. Same day, happened as update from 18 to 19.

Message of frequently visited Web site: https://www.mybenefitscalwin.org/
Tells me that the Web site is encrypted; managed by HP; History of HP shows that I visited this site 126 times. everything looks good, but I get the following message after the opening of their Web site, on their screen!

    Browser not supported
The Web browser you are using is not supported by MyBenefits CalWIN. Here is a list of the supported browsers.
Microsoft Internet Explorer (versions 8 and more)
Versions of Firefox 10 and more

I received this after updating Firefox 18 to 19. What is the reason?

don't know of pdf images - but this is a reproducible error the site up for each version of firefox on firefox 19. This is why I think it's a general problem in the way that they sniff the browser versions & probably, they will have to fix it on their end.

  • No audio on web sites already have help on faucets, updated plugins, deleteted reinstalled Firefox. Has started all of this for a few days. IE9 has audio.

No audio on web pages using Firefox. I've updated all the plugins, check the volume level of the mixer, latest versions of Flash, Java, Quicktime. I uninstalled Firefox, even deleted personal settings, delete directories in the folder program files and reinstalled different versions, all to nothing does not. I am running Vista 32 updated in an office. IE9 has no problems, full audio and video on the same web sites is not a hardware problem, Windows sounds are also audible. I have the connection high speed, no problems there.

I face a similar problem myself. The problem is probably that you do not have the latest version of Flash installed, which, unfortunately, is not very compatible with Firefox. Here are the associated help file to this:

    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/Flash-113-doesn ' t-charge-video-firefox

See if any of these fixes will help. I hope this helps and good luck!

  • Updated FireFox, restarted and now it will not open the browser, even if the icon does not appear in my taskbar. Was fine until the update last night. Win8.1 running

When I move the mouse over the icon in the taskbar that appears after that I have I dbl-clicked on the icon on the desktop, you can see a miniature version of the browser open as usual, unfortunately, the browser will not open upward on the desktop. I've deleted and reinstalled several times. It has worked very well until I did the update last night.

    Machine features:
    8.1 to win
    16 GB of RAM
    3 video concerts
    Processor AMD FX-6200 6 3.80 Ghz
    64 bit

Sometimes, a window is "off the screen" somehow. Often, you can force it to appear on the screen by right clicking on the thumbnail image just above the taskbar and choose expand. Does it work?

A possible cause for this is that the file that stores the positions and sizes of window is corrupt.

#1 method: If you can get a zoomed window:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

#2 method: If you can not get a Firefox window for all:

Close Firefox by right clicking the icon in the taskbar > close all windows.

Using the Run dialog box (windows key + R) or the search for the start bar menu (or perhaps 8.x for Windows search of charms bar bar?) type or paste the following and press ENTER to drill down to the profiles folder:

    %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Here you can see a folder - in this case, double-click that - or more than one case - in this case, double-click on in what looks like the most recently updated.

Scroll down and rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

  • After the last update a few minutes ago, Firefox open all web pages.

I was on a local web page run by a local server on my intranet. Firefox was not open. I opened it (last time it worked successfully was a few hours ago). He did an update. After the update, he tried to open a web page in Firefox - failed. Local web page, I was sure would not open either. Web pages to function in Internet Explorer.

Problem was Firefox hanging in the Task Manager - task once I stop the task, I re-run Firefox and had no issue. A big thank you to all who tried to help.

  • Single-pass does not work for Web sites after the last update of firefox

Single-pass does not work for Web sites after the last update of firefox. This works in IE and Chrome and it works under windows (when starting the computer), but not with any website in Firefox.

Firefox 30 spent some less commonly used "Always turned on" plugins "asking to activate. To check and change this to SimplePass, you can use the page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click on Plugins. Then on the right, check the control on the right side of the SimplePass.

You may need to exit Firefox and start it again before it takes effect.

    A little luck?

  • Since the update last night (05/02/2013) we are unable to access the internet.

My son says that there is an update last night when he was on the computer and the browser only, that we can use to access the internet now is Windows Internet Explorer. I tried all of the recommended patches and it still does not work.

IMPORTANT: Under Windows, the uninstall program has the option to remove your personal data and settings. Make sure that you have not check this option. If not all of your bookmarks, passwords, extensions, customizations and other Firefox data user profile will be removed from your computer.

After uninstalling Firefox on Windows, delete the folder of the program "Mozilla Firefox", located by default in one of the following locations:

    • (Windows 32-bit) C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
    • (On 64-bit Windows) C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
    1. Go to the Windows Start menu and click on 'computer '.
    2. In the Explorer window that opens, double-click on disk Local (c) to open the C:\ drive.
    3. Find the folder "Program Files (x 86)" or "Program Files".
      • On 32-bit Windows, double-click the Program Files folder to open it.
      • On 64-bit Windows, you'll see a folder "Program Files (x 86)" AND a "Program Files" folder. Open the Program Files (x 86) folder.
    4. You are looking for a folder of Mozilla Firefox . If you find one, right click and select delete and confirm that you want to move the folder to the trash.

Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:

    1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
    2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

Please report back to see if this helped you!
