Updated my email when I recalculated the server settings I lost all saved emails?

I had to upgrade my email for my domain it gave me different server settings so I could access emails from various devices. I changed these settings on Thunderbird by deletting the old and the new entrance. I lost all my saved emails nightmare etc.?

Maybe next time, you will add the new server account instead of changing the name of the server

    Norio, thanks for your clear and intelligent response. Thunderbird 38.1.0 failed "when I delete a message" at all anywhere in the settings of the server or the "Copies & folders.

    In any case, I later discovered that new emails received after upgrade to 38.1.0 automatically in "Trash" when deleting. Only emails that were in the Inbox and sending of files before the upgrade disappear... who knows where?
    So no problem the old emails, I will drag in the trash and not worry. The new ones are normally.

    Messages are likely to the old identity and you can go to file | Import | Messages to bring them into the new identity.  See also point 4 here: www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#4

    The account information will have to be put in place in the new identity.  You can switch between the old and new identities also.  If save you messages and settings (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#6), you must do it for the two identities, unless the new identity has all the information you need in it.

    If your mail acted as you claim in the past then it has set up a POP account and not IMAP. POP and IMAP are email standards and work of the same thing all the time. No e-mail client changes which.
    It is possible to have IMAP email account and configure the client as POP with some providers.
    Local folders is a standard account in all installations of Thunderbird.

    If there are problems with the implementation at day then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and remove the Firefox program folder to remove all remaining files.

    Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.

    Uninstall your current version of Firefox if possible and delete the folder of Firefox beta program to remove all remaining files.

    • Do NOT remove the data of a personal nature when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder.

  • Black screen when you access the server console

    We are currently experiencing the following intermittent problem...

    When accessing a server through the console vcenter he'll suddenly lock (the console not the server).

    At this stage the existing Remote Desktop connections continue to work, but no new connections can be established.

    This leaves us in the position where the server is running, but we no longer have in any case of it management. In the past, the only way to retrieve the control was to restart the server that resolves the problem. However this is currently perform our mail server/domain controller so I hesitate to do a hard reset and will have to at least wait until that out of office hours to do. Which means I can't do the management and maintenance tasks I have to do today.

    We currently have 2 x hosts running ESX 4.0.0 164009.

    is there one or more particular services can I restart to solve this problem?

    The vSphere update, I suggest this as follows:

    • first update the server vCenter Server (you need to download the new setup file, run the installation, say I have a database, use the existing ODBC name, and it will perform the update to U1)

    • then install the new AUVS (there is the U1P1 version)

    • then use AUVS to install ESX update (if you have a license of VMotion, it will work automatically, otherwise you will have to manually release each host to put in maintenance mode).
