Updates to security for KB2518864, KB2572073, KB2633880, KB2656352 try to reinstall several times
Original title : Automatic updates of security updates for... KB2518864, KB2572073, KB2633880, KB2656352... KEEP REPEATING AFTER SUCCESSFUL INSTALLATION
My information system: Windows XP Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 3
I've been recently automatic updates appear for updates of security for Microsoft .NET Framework... KB2518864, KB2572073, KB2633880 and KB2656352.
I click on install updates and watching them install successfully. And then they come back just want to install again and again and again. UGH!
I read many forums and tried many bugs, (even the Fixit Microsoft Mr.). I'm not too technical and refuse to try some of the fixes that had me past and make changes to the registry without knowing exactly what I'm doing. I know that a small error in the registry can mess up my enitre system.
I need a simple solution to this annoying problem. Please put the solution in lay terms for persons with disabilities on a technical level.
Thanks in advance for any assistance with this.

I tried to install the update of the files KB2518864, KB2572073, KB2633880 four times after whenever I would say it was well built. When I went to search for files to delete files before you try to download the files again and reinstall it using the Add/Remove on my Windows XP SP3, I was unable to locate the files. The only way I found to fix this was to remove the registry entries manually using regedit and use the file search feature and delete the files I found manually so. Then I had to update windows to inform instead of automatic download. I tried the Fix Center file also although did not. I can't locate these files to download on either windows update page. If these files exist and need to be installed then I expect that Microsoft's COMPUTING service get this fixed a problem. My computer is a home based upon a business Edition step.

keep Windows update install 'kb2518864' / 'kb2572073' / 'kb2633880' repeatedly
Original title: windows update keep installation kb2518864/kb2572073/kb2633880 since this morning
The event viewer displays messages that says that each is installed successfully, but they do not appear in the list of "Add or update the program" in the control panel and immediately after it tries to install the 3 again and again. (each of them seeks to update .net framework 2.0sp2 or 3.5sp1)
BTW, I'm under XP Pro SP3 with all latest updates.
It seems that MS has solved the problem, all of a sudden the yellow reminder icon disappeared at the bottom of the screen. A number of people has the same reporded at the end of this thread.
1450 EDT
It seems to have been corrected here too well, even without emptying the memory cache update. Just all of a sudden the icon "updated pending" went.

Problems with KB2518864, KB2572073, KB2633880
I, also, courses in problems of installation with KB2518864, KB2572073, KB2633880 security updates. When it happened the first time, I thought that I had committed a security breach due to a user "guest" on my computer, so I used system restore to restore my settings to a date prior to the 'guest' user Still the problem and of course, I now know that the issue belongs to Microsoft, not my computer. Shabby. Hoping they resolve quickly.

2 UPDATES have consistently failed to install since 12/16/10: update of security for Microsoft Works 9 (KB2431831) and update of security for Microsoft Office System 2007 (KB2288931). I tried to REINSTALL... and CONTINUED on for more than a week now with no result. I don't get the error messages or codes, so I'm not sure what to do! They are considered IMPORTANT so I guess that I need these updates and I TRIED to RESTART after update with NO RESULTS as well. The 2 latest updates only "UPDATED successfully", before the long chain UPDATES failed, which began on 12/16/2010 (as previously mentioned) were: update for Internet Explorer for Windows Vista (KB2467659) and Security Update for Windows Vista (KB2305420) someone knows what do to update failed? Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you. {By the way... I use my computer for use at home or school.} Thank you.
This has been answered above in my first post. I didn't know that I reposted on the same site. Thanks :)

I try to install the update of security for Microsoft visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (KB973924) via windows update and get error 643.
I ran the troubleshooting tool, but as usual, it does not solve anything (couldn't even understand something was wrong).
I've tried searching for an answer but apparently 'error 643' is given for shit close to everything and I was unable to find a solution for my problem.
the computer is running Windows 7 32 bit. This problem also prevents Windows Essentials 2011 and I think that the issue is also what keeps me to install "Visual C++ Runtime for Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9.0", which gives me Error 1935. I didn't chance to find a solution so that the error code is.
Please help - thanks
