Updates to the printer

During the update of HP printer, I get a message telling me that it is "deletion of old files.  If it's supposed to happen?  What are the files?

Looks like you have some left files on your computer by a previous installation. We will uninstall with the option 'raccoon' like this:
1. go in Applications/Hewlett Packard / click on uninstall HP and click on continue
2. Select your device in the left pane
3. hold the keys Ctrl, Opt and Cmd and click on uninstall
4. There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
5. click on continue and let it finish

Now run a software update. This is possible by clicking on the Apple in the upper left corner of the screen, then clicking on software updates.

Then, we will reset the printing system:

Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
-Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign more to add a printer. Select the default tab on the top of the window. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

Finally, download and install the software from here.

This should solve your problem. If not post back with new details and we will continue from there.

    I've updated my Mac Os 10.10 (Yosemite) and my 8600 Pro Officejet does not show even in system preferences. The printer install packages my printer usb and wi - fi address lists, but does not connect to them so it can identify and then in system preferences.

  • Download of update of the printer

    I recently downloaded and tried to install an update to fix a critical pc to printer communication issue.  The only change I had made previously for my setup was an attempt to install another printer (not HP).  My printer is a deskjet 970 CSE.  The process hangs on the scrubber Dot4.  When I try to view printers in the Control Panel, I get the message that the Printer Spooler service is not running.  The Windows XP operating system.

    remove the update by going to Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs, and then restarting the computer seems to have solved the problem.  The printer now prints and the update no longer appears in the list when I'm looking for updates for this printer.

  • Windows 7, the printer Dell Photo All - in - one 922; Win7 says it has the most recent drivers, can see the printer, but tells me that the printer needs to "help out." interfacera not; updated drivers downloaded from Dell, but Win7 will not identify them.

    Well, it's a long story, but EDH to; I had problems with my printer works with Win XP. The same problem as now with Win 7.  I have e last driver of Dell, but Win7 says that drivers are up-to-date.  The printer appears in the Device Manager, but has the yellow triangle with (!) to score on this subject.  When I go to troubleshoot, it says it can't find the updated driver on the internet or the CPU.  Win7 says that the printer says that's not covering, check USB port, etc... I uninstalled the driver, let W7 update, and the printer still does not work.  What is the reference for this? Thank you... Corn

  • update the printer pop up

    When I clicked on a pop - up who said that there is an update for HP printer series D1300 (mine is D1341), the only thing that happened is that the pop-up disappeared, but nothing else happened.  I looked towards the top of the printer in my system, but also didn't see any sign that an update has been installed. So I went to the HP site but didn't see a place for the installation of updates to the printer - just a place for the installation of time software first. How will I know if an update has been installed, or is there a place on the HP site for the installation of updates (no first facilities)?

    I got a new Officejet 5740 e-all-in-one and put in place a few days ago. It is implemented in a router which is also a modem.  I've implemented any web service.  My network is password protected, and I'm the only one on this subject.

    A couple of times I arrived in front of the printer and there was a screen that says that there is a current download, and he showed the percent completed. This surprised me because I have not implemented in web services for the printer.

    I cancelled the download, both times.  The second time I accidentally typed the screen again.  I don't know what button I hit, but it has printed a message that says that my printer is now web enabled.  He also says that my printer has an email address.

    I went into the web installer, and it seemed to me that I had not implemented the web.

    I understand that you use a 5740 Officejet from HP printer e-all-in-one with a computer of Windows 7 and you noticed that the screen of the printer said there was a current download, which you surprised because you but you did not set up web services. I would like to help with that.

    You mentioned that the printer has its own e-mail address. Web services have been enabled for the printer to have an address of mail @hpeprint.com. It is possible to disable the ePrint and printable HP once the HP Web Services has been enabled.

    The download that was underway was probably a printer update, which will come by automatically. Nothing to do with the computer. I don't think there is a record of updates of the printer anywhere.

    Since the printer display panel, touch the HP ePrint icon, and then tap Settings and select update from the printer.

    Automatic update of touch and then press Off to turn off the automatic updates.

    Printer is on wireless and works very well for all applications.  Tried to activate ePrint and it displays the message "there was a problem connecting to the server."  Also tried to download updates to the printer and received the same message.  Any suggestions?

    I would like to try the following steps. Let me know how it goes.

    1 obtain the IP address of your printer
    a. This can be done by pressing the icon on the printer wireless.
    2. Enter the printer's IP address in a browser.
    3. Select the tab network at the top of the page.
    4. on the left, select network.
    5. Select Network (IP) address
    6. select manual DNS server
    a. manual Preferred DNS should read 8.8.8.8
    b. alternate DNS server should read. 8.8.4.4
    7. Select apply you could get a fair warning select OK.

    2 have you installed updates for the printer? If so, you may want to make back the driver and check if that helps.

    doesn't look like canon has a printer that takes in charge the newer versions of Mac OS x, if I were you I would take contact them to see if they plan on support of new versions, apple made no drivers for the hardware they don't and if hardware manufacturers does not provide a working driver head can group with the new version of Mac OS x We have to rely on manufacturing to have a download on their page
