There is a lot of configuration to do for this agent? Here is the part of the instructions. I know right what they want me to. Where is this Cisco computer? Where we put the Cisco account? We certainly do not have a domain controller on our network called Cisco. Is it better to put this on a domain controller or a member server?

  Step 1 Add CISCO workstation.

  To meet the requirements of Windows for authentication requests, ACS must specify windows

  in my computer to which the user tries to open a session. Because the ACS cannot determine this information

  of authentication requests that send AAA clients, it uses a name of generic workstation for all applications.

  Use CISCO under the name of the workstation.

  In the local domain and in each trusted domain and a child domain that uses ACS to authenticate users.

  ensure that:

  ? A computer named CISCO account exist.

  ? All users that Windows will authenticate are allowed to connect to the computer named CISCO.

  For more information, see the Microsoft documentation for your operating system.

  Go down to da external user---> DB Configuration---> Windows---> Configiure--->---> RA remote agent choose in the drop-down list---> Summit.

  ACS will now use this remote agent.

  Bilal,.

  You cannot register two servers that have different versions. Youd need to unregister the server, then perform the upgrade (5.1-->--> 5.4 5.3) and once both servers are running 5.4 you can register for the secondary back to the primary.

  We bought the license to upgrade ACS 5.5 (R-CSACS-55VMUP-K9 =). I read below the steps of the migration of 4.x to 5.5, I have found anywhere you need a licence. Is it really necessary?

  Hello Hujian. The "migration license" is the same as that of "standard". The only difference is that you put on it, since you already have ACS 4.x. If you were buying ACS 5.x today and you have not previously ACS then you would have been ineligible for migration license.

  That being said, there isn't really a direct from 4.x to 5.x migration since the whole system has been rewritten. For example, as you know 4.x ran on Windows and did not require not a vs 5.x license runs on Linux and does not require a license. You can use the utility 'migration' to help you migrate some of the configurations but it does not migrate everything. I personally never liked to use it and always what you plan to do is build the new server from scratch :)

  But I can't get past the first step:

  Issue the following command from the patch CSA in EXEC mode to install the fix for the ACS:

  Here is my result:

  / Admin # acs patch install repository 5-0-0-21 - 9.tar.gpg mytftp
  chmod: cannot access at the "* .sh ': no such file or directory".
  Error: Could not open the patch 5-0-0-21 - 9.tar.gpg

  It download the patch via TFTP ok, but cannot install it.

  There are problems in 5.0 with using tftp for file transfers that exceed 32 MB. There may be problems with the ftp servers that exceed this limit.

  I recommend to start using the alternative repository type. For example, ftp or a local repository on the server.

  First of all it is not the right extension when downloading the file from the software download.

  Rename the file 5-2-0-26 - 1.tar.tar 5-2-0-26 - 1.tar.gpg. I had the same problem and rename the file solved that problem.

  Both should run on the same version so if you upgraded ACS version then you need to upgrade the UCP version too.
