  Share the graphics card only if memory his need. But you can't change it manually. This is controlled by the graphics driver and the whole process is executed automatically.

  The RAM is not compatible. The system allows a maximum total memory of 8 GB and uses DDR3-1333 which downclocks at 1066 speed. You cannot use a single module of 8 GB. 4 gigs is the large single module supports the system. I suspect the memory that you have will work fine if you had modules of 2 x 4 GB instead of a single module of 8 GB. That's why memtest is not finished. The controller memory motherboard is not able to take up 8 GB of RAM by a single channel.

  I really need your help to upgrade my toshiba Satellite 5200 801 (model: PS520E-31P1D-EN), basically it's the version specification factory (technical instructions on the link below)

  What I want is to get faster internal memory, you can buy for this model (currently I have two default 256 mb DDR 266 MHz CL2.5 memory sticks). Will probably do a gig of memory (I could have more, but it depends on the price).
  As well, I want to spend the HD to 160 gig (about), as well as get a faster hard drive then the current 60gig 4200 RPM Hitachi HD (as soon as possible for the specifications of my laptop).

  Anyone know what would be the best option?

  Someone said that it would cost all under 100 (that would be cool), but I don't know anything about the compatibility of different companies etc.
  Can anyone recommend what equipment... .and where * I hope that ebay or studs :)

  You can upgrade the Satellite 5200 801 memory and HARD drive.
  S for laptop computer memory can be improved up to 1 GB of RAM. So you can use 2 x 512 MB PC2100 DDR - RAM modules.

  I think that an upgrade of the IDE 160 GB HARD disk is not possible. To my knowledge, the BIOS can support such massive size of the HARD drive. But this is only my personal opinion. If I was you I would try a smaller HDD like 100 GB or 120 GB.

  This is controlled automatically by the graphics driver.
  If the application that is running would require more RAM (IE game), the graphics card would control this value and I would add some of the memory to the memory of the graphics card.

  I currently have my X 201 put in place dual-boot between Windows XP (32-bit) and Windows 7 x 64.  In Windows 7 Intel applet and other utilities show the expected 1.7 GB memory graphics maximum.  In XP, it shows the maximum like 128 MB only.  I also tried with XP64 and various amounts of RAM (2, 4, 6, 8 GB;  in Win 7 graphics memory max is reduced with only 2 GB of system memory).  I tried with graphics of Lenovo drivers and the drivers supplied by Intel.

  I saw the posts by even with other brands of laptop with Intel GMA HD of declaration of higher amounts of graphics memory on XP and also a few other reports of users see Lenovo the same limit I see so I think it's a kind of BIOS limitation and not a limit of driver/GPU/chipset.

  Is it possible to get more than 128 MB memory graphics under XP on the X 201?

  It seems that the latest BIOS (1.34) solves this problem.

  XP can now see 1 024 MB of graphics memory (and scores of reference to improve massively).

  Upgrading RAM is possible but the graphics card is unable to be updated!

  If you want to upgrade the memory you could update to 1536 MB max.
  The A60 supports 512MB internal memory and it is so that one memory slot where the extra RAM module can be inserted.

  I need advice on a good new graphics card for iMac 27 inch end 2012. My work is mainly in animation, Visual effects and game development soon, so I need an additional card to increase my speed.

  Currently, I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2048 MB card. Do you think I should stick to a similar card? Is there something new that will offer me better performance at an affordable cost?

  I don't have much money to spend, but I can certainly use additional graphics now.

  I have also 2 remaining memory locations that accepts DDR3 1600 MHz memory module, but it seems that this module is no longer available. If I had to choose between a graphics card and RAM, which should I go with?

  First of all, the iMacs are notoriously difficult to make something with except add RAM. Here is a good site where you can get some info on the dismantling, etc.:

  Usually, graphics cards should be replaced with the same model/type of work (if any) - see above site for this kind of info. I'm quite sure that you cannot add just one - iMac is not designed for it.

  Check that your model is listed. I don't know where you would have been told that the RAM is no longer available (FWIW, Apple does not sell RAM and uses of third party RAM in the new Macs).

  I have a question for the computer.  I have a HP Pavilion Elite m9040n who has Windows Vista 32 - bit SP2 with 3 GB of memory.  From what I've been able to determine, the 32-bit version doesn't recognize up to 3.5 GB of memory and I need to install the 64 bit version of Windows Vista for additional memory can be installed AND recognized.  This system comes with the Core 2 Quad Q6600 (K) 2.4 GHz, at 1 066 MHz front side BUS and Socket 775.

  My question - would be upgrade to Windows Vista 64-bit and install another 4 GB for a total of 7 GB of extra memory for increased game performance.  Also, I have a graphics program which because of some image sizes (up to 96 inches - 19200 pixel everywhere) program that the bombs on me with "out of memory" messages.  I play World of Warcraft and Starcraft 2 right now.
