Upgrade can not display drivers - Satellite Pro U200-10J

Hi all

I recently received a Satellite Pro U200, which I am very satisfied so far.

My current display drivers are the 7.14.10.1147 of the 945GM Express chipset Intel. The new drivers that have been added to the drivers on the Toshiba site list 17 and are the 7.14.10.1227. Unfortunately, they install! I get a message just after the initialization of configuration that these drivers are not the most appropriate for this laptop and it closed facility. When I try to update the Device Manager, it simply tells me that I already have the latest drivers for my machine.

Hello

Before you start installing the new driver remove the old. You can do this in the properties of the device in Device Manager.

I did it with my Vista preinstalled Satellite A200 (also with the Intel graphics card).

    Hello Forum users,.

Sorry for my bad English. I'll try my best ;-)

    I'm trying to upgrade Windows 8.0 8.1 on a Satellite Pro C850-1MX.

    Before that I removed:

    -Bluetooth filter Driverpackage
    -Toshiba Health Monitor

I also checked the notebook with the update of the Windows Advisor 8 / attend.

Whenever I try the update is installed, the computer restarts and says while the previous version is restored because the update failed (0xC1900101 & 0 x 30018).

I tried to restore the laptop to factory (using the recovery partition), deleted the drivers, tried again. Same failure.

    Where is the problem?

  • Can not start my Satellite Pro A10

I have a Toshiba laptop Satellite Pro A10. When he tries to start windows, it comes up with the "We apologize for the inconvenience, but windows did not start successfully" etc. I tried all the options for example

    Start:
    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe mode with command prompt
    Last known good configuration
    etc.

None of the options works. All I get is a flow of information about drivers and it then hangs. The last driver in the list is:

    multi (0) disk (0) partition (1) \WINDOWS\System32\Drive rs\Mup.sys

    I can't clear the checkpoint.

Unfortunately, I can't find the disc that came with the laptop, so I'm well and truly stuck.

    Any suggestions?

    See you soon

    HI Leon,

It is quite normal that there is a list of drivers displayed when you try to boot into 'safe' mode However, if initialization fails, obviously there is a problem with your operating system and your only options are to try to fix the problem by using the recovery console (you will need to boot from a CD of original Microsoft installation), or you can restore the original Toshiba CD recovery full operating system.
A third possibility would be to start with a utility such as Norton Ghost or Acronis image backup/restore and restore a backup previously taken by an external device.

The simplest option is to restore from a backup that is already taken, but if you don't then you would be better restore from the recovery CD Toshiba you can get at any Toshiba authorized Service partner.

    Hello Derek

If some components of hardware in Device Manager not preloaded properly visit the Toshiba download under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com page > support & downloads.

You will find all the necessary drivers (WLAN and his driver). When the wireless network adapter is correctly installed, you will be able to configure the WLAN connection.

  • Can not get my Satellite Pro L10

I have a satellite pro l10, I tried to put my recovery disk in and she said keeping key c down when I start my computer but it does, nt work, how do I get this drive to work does anyone have an idea, s Please

    Hi James,

Press and hold the 'C' key is a specific shortcut of Toshiba to allow the laptop to boot directly from the CD. However, you can also select the CD-ROM as boot device in the BIOS, just press the F12 key when you see the Toshiba start screen for power over the process and you will be presented with a menu of the device selection. Tab just down to the CD-ROM and press to enter. The laptop computer should now boot from the CD.

However, I have 2 PCMCIA issues that are bugging me:

-J' have digital TV card to PCMCIA havea for which I can't find the Vista drivers. It works fine with the drivers XP however I get horrible squealing sounds and treble beeps high for a minute or two each time I have change the channel. The card is a generic of an OEM supplier.

    Any help appreciated.

Have you tried to update the BIOS or change settings in the BIOS?
The u200 Pro has been delivered with the Toshiba BIOS I hope
On the second page of the BIOS, you can try to change the mode of PC Card controller. You may notice improvements.

  • Thin blue line on the display on Satellite Pro U200

My laptop screen has suddenly started to show a thin blue line that goes up and down the screen, so that it does not interfere with the details of the screen it is very annoying and I d rather try to get rid of it.

Has anyone seen this happen before?

My first idea was a display problem, but this problem could be linked to the fault of the graphics card too.

    So how can I test?
Well, you can connect an external monitor to the laptop.
If the same thin line will appear on the external display, a graphics card problem may be possible.

In both cases, the hardware must be replaced. I think that it s time for the guy to ASP.

  • Upgrade SSD on Satellite Pro U200

    Hello!

I have a laptop (Satellite Pro U200-PLUA1E-00X007HU of the v3.70 win7 32-bit bios), I want to upgrade with a series of Samsung 830 64 GB SSD. I read that the SSD need AHCI mode. My laptop supports AHCI mode? What can I change in the bios before installing the new storage?

    Thanks for the help!

    Robert

    Hello

    I see you're confused
First, he must know that the laptop supports the SATA controller.
This means that you must use hard drives SATA or SATA SSD.

Second: AHCI means SATA some BIOS supports only a SATA mode, and you can switch between compatible (IDE) mode and AHCI (SATA) mode.

If this switch is not available in the BIOS mode is always set to AHCI.

    However, to SSD drive question:
I put t really no problem using an SSD.
It must function as the SATA controller support

  • Satellite Pro U200: WLan Hotkey Fn + F8 does not

I can't the keyboard shortcut (Fn + F8) working on the Satellite Pro U200 wireless. It worked before, but after that I reinstalled the system and drivers, it no longer works. Any other combination Fn + FX work very well.

If the wirelles (on the right side of the laptop) switch is off and you press Fn + F8, the system displays the following message: "wireless communication is disabled. Please activate the wireless communication switch. "If the wireless switch is enabled and you press Fn + F8, nothing happens (whereas before I was able to activate bluetooth and WiFi card and turn off).

I don't know, but I suspect that the keyboard shortcut no longer works after update BIOS version 1.2 to version 1.3, but I can't confirm this, because I can't downgrade the BIOS and I reinstalled the system, shortly after the update of the BIOS. Do you have any ideas please?

    Thank you for your help,

    Jiri

    Hello

It has worked before, because you used the preinstalled recovery image that contains all the necessary tools and utilities. If you install own OS please consult document instructions facilities and check if software list is missing. You can also use the Tools & Utilities CD and install all stuff on the left. This way you will have perfect configured unit.

Anyway, check it please if you forgot to install Wireless Hotkey V2.0.0.6.

    Good bye

  • Satellite Pro U200-10I: DVD UJ-850 s player not working - corrupt/lack of pilot

    Hello

I just bought my new laptop Satellite Pro U200-10I. The DVD doesn't seem to work at all. It is said, Mat * a s DVD UJ-850 drive not working - corrupt/lack of driver. Help, please.

    Appreciate your response. Thank you!

    Hello

The CD/DVD drive using the Microsoft diver who is included in the Windows operating system.
According to this page or some registry keys are corrupt windows clean driver failures.

I think that you must first access the Device Manager and check if the CD/DVD drive is displayed correctly.
If you do not see a yellow exclamation I recommend to remove the drive from Device Manager and reboot the laptop.

After restarting again the OS should recognize the new device (CD/DVD drive) and should implement the drivers again.
Finally start the registry and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

    and restart the device.

    Good luck

  • Satellite Pro U200 - hard drive upgrade

    Hello

I have a Satellite Pro U200-128 and you want to upgrade the hard drive. I can't find detailed specifications to show me the compatibility, drive type and therefore the size of a disc that I can buy.
I think that its SATA, but there is a lot of info on SATAII, not sure if it will work in my model?

    Any help appreciated

    Hi ollieg72,

You re right. Satellite Pro U200 already uses the HARD drive with SATA interface if you need a HARD SATA 2.5. In addition, it should be possible to use every ability because on SATA interface, there is no capacity limit.

Anyway, SATAII HDD is also working because they are compatible to the old interface of SATA1 downgrade. So it makes no difference if the HDD is SATAII interface or not. ;)

  • Satellite Pro U200: Display Resolution changed to 1024 x 768, after sleep (Vista)

I have some problems with my Satellite Pro U200 (WinVista, BIOS 3.50, Display Driver 7.14.10.1217).

After the exit mode standby, the display shows the correct resoluion of 1280 x 800 for a second and then goes to 1024 x 768. It's very annoying.

I tried to uninstall / reinstall the display driver, but it did not help.

    Does anyone have an idea?

Well, I remember a similar problem happened on U200 with Windows XP and Windows XP MCE.
The update of the graphics to the version 6.14.10.4543 driver has solved this strange switching

Maybe the next update of the graphics card driver will clear this issue

  • Satellite Pro U200: My safe file does not open

    Hello
Running XP Pro on a computer Satellite Pro U200, I have installed Norton Ghost 10 (after a lot of difficulties that I had to uninstall Norton anti-siphoning I've ever used on the machine).

Subsequently the 'My Safe' folder does not open. Normally when double clicking it asks a fingerprint or a backup password but now it shows just an hourglass for a millisecond and then's there!

Can anyone tell what he might have to get this service running the settings?
    Best regards, Robert

    Hey Buddy,

may I ask what 'secure record' this is? This file has been accidentally created by Norton Protection System?
So you have this fingerprint software which manages your fingerprint and your access in the system, etc., etc... ; have you checked if something in this software changed?
A trial might reconfigure these programs.

    Welcome them
