UPGRADE MAC BOOK PRO at EL CAPITAN

I have a Mac Book Pro 5.2, software OS x 10.6.8 Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 GB of RAM.

I tried twice to upgrade the PC to El Capitan.

After downloading the new software for a while, I got these messages: "year error occurred ' and ' demand could not been installed.

I looked for a solution in the forums, but I can't find which could help me.

Could someone explain clearly and simply if my PC has the conditions to level, and if so, what is the solution to the problems.

At it is now, it seems my Mac Book becomes unnecessary because I am not able even to install applications I want: most of them requires software 10.10. VERY FRUSTRATING!

Thanks a lot for your help.

I'm really sorry. But your MacBook is simply the old to run El Capitan.

The strike that. No, it should work. The download is complete? If so there should be an installer in your Applications folder: have you checked if it is there? What happens if you start from there?

El Capitan is the only one to use, clean the shit of your Mac first and if you have less than 4G of Ram, increase to 4 or more

  • I'm upgrading to a new Mac Book Pro, my 'old' goes to a friend!

Hi all, I'm going to upgrade to a new Slimline Mac Book Pro, my 3 year old outgoing Mac Book Pro goes to a good friend of mine, I tried for years to make him give up Windows, finally, he took the bait.

So I ask, how is it best to prepare my old MBP before transfer of ownership.?

Is it perhaps as simple as simply format the hard drive and leaving who?. If so, how it would be able to get a copy of ElCapitan? Then would he be easy to get a free copy of Pages, Numbers and Keynote?  or maybe they are included in ElCapitan? I remember that I had to pay for them, 3 or 4 years ago.

Questions, and is there a page I can point him that will help his PASSAGE from Windows to Apple to be as painless as possible, otherwise that I lost a very good friend!

  • I have a new Mac Book Pro. If I buy 5 Lightroom now, can I upgrade to Lightroom 6 for free?

I have a new Mac Book Pro. If I buy 5 Lightroom now, can I upgrade to Lightroom 6 for free?

    Nobody knows.

The usual policy of Adobe in the past, it's that if you buy a version of Lightroom and within 30 days a new version comes out, they will give you a free upgrade. The problem is Adobe never pre announcement when the new version comes out. (And of course, Adobe could announce a different strategy for Lightroom 6)

So, its up to you if buy you now or wait.

  • Mac Book Pro El Capitan won't start

End of 2011 Mac Book Pro with OS X 10.11.2 and 500 GB SSD locked when you change an image in Lightroom 6.  Display got lines in there, then moved to the right until all the images in all programs were packaging off the screen on the left and ending on the right.  I decided to quit Lightroom and it went in her check and the safeguard of this app.  At this point the computer locked up completely with the beachball forever.  I stopped with the start key and restarted.  Desktop came, but then locked up again.  No restart in any mode after that.  Computer goes the logo Apple on a white screen with the high CPU activity as evidenced by a cooling fan screaming.

I have a backup recovery app on a USB key, but does not know how to use it. I also still have the original hard drive that could possibly be re-installed, but he showed signs of early failure.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you very much

  • Im trying to install windows on a mac book Pro 10

"" Im trying to install usb 10 32/64-bit windows on a mac book Pro of the retina, when I do the ' iso ' step it tells me that I can do only with windows 7 or higher "confused."

Windows 10 download expects an existing installation of Windows 7 and will upgrade over him, using the key of Windows 7 license to build a new license key Windows 10. The free upgrade to Windows 10 period expired at the end of July. Boot don't Camp in El Capitan no installation supports a Windows 7 any longer.

I do not recommend install directly Windows (any version) directly in the Mac without Boot Camp, or one of the VM (VirtualBox, VMWare, Parallels, for example).

  • I should get my old Mac Book Pro refurbished

I'm getting a new Mac Book Pro, no question there. What should I do with my old Mac Book?  It is OS x 10.6.8 processor 2.4 Intel Dual Core 2, with 4 GB of memory.

I know he needs a serious upgrade OS and memory. Everything else seems to work very well. I thought I could get renovated at a great price and use it as a backup of the computer for lighter work.

    Thoughts?

  • My Mac Book Pro 2011 becomes slow.

My external hard drive is full, and now my Mac Book Pro is slowing down. Is it possible to clean the things that I didn't need the external hard drive so I can continue to use it or is there a way to dump data I need not in the book of Mac to speed it up. I do not know which uses all the space so don't know what to look for.

If you use a HARD drive then it is probably your problem. You have an older system, but upgraded to a solid drive (which allows a flash storage) can have a lot faster write speeds. What version of Mac OS X are you using?
