upgrade of desktop memory

BF13, I don't think that memory in the link you provided will work.  The motherboard supports Dual-Channel memory.  It is faster than the modules in the link.

Here is a link to HP Store.  I suggest you contact them to ensure that you purchase the correct memory.  They should be able to help you.

Let me know if you need assistance.

I think that the GPU can be integrated into the CPU? < br > < br > I want to switch to the video card Nvidia GeForce GTX 660, but I don't know if my rig is compatible. And then there is the question of food. I looked into this myself, but because of my lack of knowledge on this subject, I feel I might be more difficult than it actually is. If you could help me out, I would be very happy.

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion p7-1430. According to the specification, this model has AMD Radeon HD7660D integrated to the APU. In addition, this model has a PCIe x 16 graphics card expansion slot and a 300 Watt power supply.

You need to replace the power supply factory with a more powerful device. It seems that most GTX 660 cards require a minimum of 450 to 600 watts power, depending on the exact card. Please consider the Corsair CX500, CX500M, CX600 or CX600M.

You will also need to measure along the plane of the PCIe x 16 location at the rear of the case further to determine if there is enough space for the card you select. If you find all the obstacles before reaching the length of the card, the card is not appropriate.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

It is possible that Windows Update provides an updated after updating to Windows 10 driver.

I would uninstall video card before to well.

    Click Start, type: Device Manager

    Expand the graphics card

Right-click in the map, then click on uninstall.

  • NB520 - upgrade the BIOS memory RAM

    Hello
I have Toshiba NB520, and I would like to know if it is possible to change to a new 4 GB RAM?
If I replace the 4 GB memory, the computer cannot restart!
do you know why? I try to update the Bios without success.
If an organization can help, thanks
    Best regards
    Scopman

Yes it is possible. I have NB520-11. After reading many threads here I've done my own experiences.
Using 4 GB RAM on preinstalled original Win7 starter doesn't have any effect because only 2 GB will be usable. I've install my own Win7 32-bit Home Premium and system displays now 4 GB installed and about 3 GB will be usable.

To upgrade I ve used 4 GB of RAM on my Satellite P500. There PA3677U-1M4G part number.

  • Re: upgrade Tecra A6 memory

I have a Tecra A6 with 1 GB memory installed at the factory again. I want to upgrade to the maximum of 4 GB and bought the bars of memory Crucial 2 x 2 GB after executing their scanner to detect the right product.

When I opened the cover of expansion memory I don't see an expansion slot (which is empty). Where is the other?

    Shaun

    Hello

First of all, I must say that you cannot improve it to 4 GB (2 x 2 GB) of RAM.
I took a look in the user manual which you can download from the Toshiba support page and it says that you can use 2 x 1 GB RAM max.

The two slots should be placed at the bottom of the unit.
I m not a Tecra A6 owner but my other laptop contains two slots memory and if a module is placed the other slot is hidden and not visible.
    Then maybe you forgot

Secondly, I know I need an upgrade on my PSU with the stock not being a source of 300 watt PSU, but my second question is looking for a suitable replacement with a minimum of a 400 watt power supply which will be duly adapted my turn with the dimensions:

  • Satellite L500-1KK - upgrade of the memory

    Hello

My L500-1kk came with the following memory specifications:

    Standard memory: 4 096 (2 048 + 2 048) MB
    maximum extension: 8 192 MB
    technology: DDR2 RAM (800 MHz)

Locations of memory expansion 2 × (1 to configure)

    1. now, I need to update my system to 8 GB, because it says that my system has 2 x memory slots, and it is Mo (2 048 + 2 048), does that mean I need to replace the original modules with 4 GB modules?

2 (1 for configure) means? is it an empty space where I can add a 4 GB module?

    3. what else do I need to know about adding memory to my system?

    Thank you

    Hey,.

If you want to switch to 8 GB of RAM, you must remove the two modules of 2 GB (current) and purchase two 4 GB modules.

As you have already written in the memory specifications, you need RAM DDR2 800 MHz.

You can buy new memory modules in an ASP or check you some online stores. Kingston is also good RAM modules.

Interesting information about the upgrade of RAM you will find also in your manual!

  • Desktop memory

I have a desktop HP a540n with 4 GB of memory and running Windows 7 64-bit professional. If I can extend the memory beyond 4 GB with new chips of memory and if so, should which tokens I buy?

Thanks for this reply, it confirms what I hoped would be the case. I had looked on the HP for the specs on my A1540n and stated that the mobo support a maximum of 4 GB that I have now with 4 sticks of 1 GB. It would have been absurd would that limintation 4 GB, but hey I know how think a manufacturer. A couple months ago I have rehabed my load and machine Windows 7 64 bit for the simple reason that I wanted to put in more memory and now you have confirmed it is going OK. And you'vd offers a good solution, same fins has... how cool is that. I shoot all the current memory and one (or two) of these babies from 8 GB to stick and get a few years in addition to this machine. Thanks again.

  • Looking to upgrade my desktop PC HP 110-090, any idea what I might be able to handle?

So I do not know beyond the videos online on the upgrade installation and strengthening of computers, and I'm not sure what course my HP desktop PC 110-090 will be able to handle the graphics card wise if I were to upgrade. Its been a great computer, but I'm looking for a upgrade get a cleaner picture on the most demanding games I play. What would be the best product I could manage with my current PC with minimal changes, in addition to the map graphic or if necessary completely the power supply with reasonable costs?

    HP 110-090 desktop PC

    Operating system:

    Windows 8

    Kaidaking, welcome to the forum.

Because your computer has only one power supply external 90W (PSU) it will be not possible to upgrade the video.  There is no slot on the motherboard for it, too.

  • Pavilion P6787C: I want to upgrade my desktop computer.

Hello, with Black Friday and other deals all week, I tried to make the updates on my desk. However, it is quite old and I don't know what would be not compatible. The office is linked below and thank you for all the help I can get!

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-p6700-desktop-PC-series/5035348/model/5059049/DOCUME...

What is your motivation for the upgrade?  Maybe a new title of game software.

What version of BIOS of this machine?  It came with WIN7 originally.

Version 8 would reflect the capacity of the UEFI BIOS.   Less than version 8 would limit the graphics card for cards inherited as the GTX660/670 as a max. The PSU max suggest is 600W, and Corsair 600CX is an exact fit.

  • What version of windows is required to upgrade a desktop with Windows ME computer to use wireless internet?

We have a 2000 Hp desktop computer? with windows ME and just recently had wireless internet access. The system is too obsolete to connect even with our router. Now, what version of Windows is necessary for us to spend to be able to connect?

Unfortunately, a Windows ME operating system cannot be upgraded.  Its time to recycle that old computer and buy a new one with Windows 7 preinstalled.  Here are a few examples.
