  Yes it is possible. I have NB520-11. After reading many threads here I've done my own experiences.
  Using 4 GB RAM on preinstalled original Win7 starter doesn't have any effect because only 2 GB will be usable. I've install my own Win7 32-bit Home Premium and system displays now 4 GB installed and about 3 GB will be usable.

  To upgrade I ve used 4 GB of RAM on my Satellite P500. There PA3677U-1M4G part number.

  First of all, I must say that you cannot improve it to 4 GB (2 x 2 GB) of RAM.
  I took a look in the user manual which you can download from the Toshiba support page and it says that you can use 2 x 1 GB RAM max.

  The two slots should be placed at the bottom of the unit.
  I m not a Tecra A6 owner but my other laptop contains two slots memory and if a module is placed the other slot is hidden and not visible.

  If you want to switch to 8 GB of RAM, you must remove the two modules of 2 GB (current) and purchase two 4 GB modules.

  As you have already written in the memory specifications, you need RAM DDR2 800 MHz.

  You can buy new memory modules in an ASP or check you some online stores. Kingston is also good RAM modules.

  Interesting information about the upgrade of RAM you will find also in your manual!

I had looked on the HP for the specs on my A1540n and stated that the mobo support a maximum of 4 GB that I have now with 4 sticks of 1 GB. It would have been absurd would that limintation 4 GB, but hey I know how think a manufacturer. A couple months ago I have rehabed my load and machine Windows 7 64 bit for the simple reason that I wanted to put in more memory and now you have confirmed it is going OK.   Because your computer has only one power supply external 90W (PSU) it will be not possible to upgrade the video.  There is no slot on the motherboard for it, too.

  What version of BIOS of this machine?  It came with WIN7 originally.

  Version 8 would reflect the capacity of the UEFI BIOS.   Less than version 8 would limit the graphics card for cards inherited as the GTX660/670 as a max. The PSU max suggest is 600W, and Corsair 600CX is an exact fit.
