Upgrade of the internal network adapter Intel Pro Wireless.

I have a HP Compaq nw8440 Mobile Workstation laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate. Oem WLAN, Intel are the antenna of the map pins 3945ABG was out of order and I fell on an Intel 4965AGN card I want to swap with the oem adapter. But when I tried my screen during a reboot has stated that a map of unsupported wireless network had been discovered. To remove the card, and reboot.  #1: what should I do to work around this message because I want to install this card? And #2: Why my laptop must have a compatibility issue with a card that is of the same family of exact map made by the same manufacturer, etc.? Thank you for your help.

This WiFi is not listed as a card for your laptop.

Your manual here.

If you notice the list different cards are for some countries.

If you look on the bottom of your laptop, you will see regulations of the FCC for WiFi.

The WiFi card must conform to the regulations of the FCC.

That's why only certain cards can be used.

If you look at this map, you will see that there is a label at the part about HP number.

  • Intermittently lose connection WiFi. XP Pro, Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG

I recently recovered from a nasty virus and my computer seems back to normal except an annoying problem. Periodically, I lose my wireless connection. It happens on multiple networks, so I know it's the computer. I updated my drivers (all who were on the Dell support site specific for my service tag) and still not fixed. I used to be forced to restart, but now (after the driver update), I can use the Device Manager to disable, and then enable the wireless adapter and the connection returns every time... but its obviously annoying.

Any suggestions would be helpful. I have a Dell Latitude D630 running XP Pro. The
card is an Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG. Thanks in advance.

You may not say anything on the power saving mode, but the link you posted has done. None of these things worked anyway.

However, I found a solution that others may find useful. Apparently the Dell Web site is not exhaustive with regard to the pilots. I found a update for my driver wireless on a third party site, Drivermax.com

After the update, the problem has been resolved. DriverMax is an application that is free to download and much appreciated on download.com

Free version allows only download driver per day, so be sure to choose carefully.

Lesson learned: sites Web of manufacturers is not always the best place to find updates driver

  • Switch 'VMnet0"of VMware WS, invited bridges to the"VirtualBox networking"adapter instead of the WiFi adapter.

    Hi Chaps and Chapettes.

HP dm1-3125ed (portable slim and light)

    AMD E-350

    8 GB OF DDR3 MEMORY

    Windows 7 Pro 64-bit

    VMware Workstation 6.5.5 build 328052

Early in the afternoon, I decided to try VirtualBox for Linux 3D hardware acceleration. (Just keep your axes down at the moment. )

I did not have a lot of time and did not check on the incompatibilities or traps.

So I first created a restore point (thankfully).

Then I downloaded and installed VirtualBox and the Oracle expansion pack.

Rebooted, created a virtual machine and booted up with 'linuxmint-11-gnome-dvd - 64-bit .iso' (Ubuntu 11.04 based Gnome distribution).

But its kernel panicked. VirtualBox couln t even start in the direct environment. So I have a few minutes of research and found the following. Incompatibility of VirtualBox with the AMD E-350 combo and 64-bit clients. VMware Workstation 6.5.5 did not have this problem, it is compatible because I'd have successfully installed earlier, but there no hardware-accelerated 3D for Linux guests.

    http://forums.VirtualBox.org/viewtopic.php?f=6 & t = 39361

    http://www.VirtualBox.org/ticket/8824

So, I removed the VirtualBox VM, but left the installed program.

But an hour later or if I needed a script in a VMware WS VM test and debugging.

Only network connectivity between the 3 currents of Fords VM. Any other dead "Destination host unreachable".

No interaction bewteen the windows host and guests, no interaction between the clients and the internet.

But these 3 guys could ping each other and push files between them.

    "Route - n", "route - ve", "mii-tool" and "mii-tool - v" looked as expected. Nothing weird. "mii-tool - r" even started a successful auto-negotiation.

I tried a lot of other things. All the time, I knew that it was something to do with VirtualBox, because it was the only change made to the system.

Then, after 4 hours or more , the light bulb lit.

If these 3 guys could only talk to each other, they must be on a separate network. : rolleyes:

All the time that I had seen this "VirtualBox networking" adapter in the network and sharing Center. Just above VMnet1 and VMnet8.

I closed, 3 guests and closed VMware WS. Then disabled the card of "VirtualBox networking" in "the change map settings.

After shooting WS and 3 guests again, all 3 could interact with the host Windows and internet.

So I stop invited and WS closed again. And activated the "VirtualBox networking" adapter again.

Inflamed WS once again, and all the VMS had lost interaction with the internet and their host.

It looks like VMnet0 ("the bridge to an adapter automatically chosen") automatically connected to the «VirtualBox networking» map

But I think I understand car VMnet0 bridging behavior (for example):

eth0 (map virtiual) <>- VMnet0 (virtual switch) <>- Ralink RT5390 Wireless adapt (physical map)

eth1 (map virtiual) <>- VMnet0 (virtual switch) <>- Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller adapter (physical map)

So, always one side of VMnet0 virtual and material on the other side.

Linking the two sides practically, is almost like behavior VMnet1: "network invited only"...

But apparently, VMnet0 connects on a first come, first served, during the collection of adapters?

Even after several reboots, VMnet0 is always connected to "VirtualBox networking."

Is it possible to have the "VirtualBox networking" card activated AND prevent this unwanted switching happen?

I also hope it helps others lose as much time as I did...

I couldn't write these 4 hours lost on my timesheet. But they would more than cover the price of upgrade for both of my WS to WS7 licenses.

(You may know axe me.) )

disable automatic bypass with virtual network Editor

virtual hubs (vmnets) make no difference if they are connected to a network phsical card or to an other nic installed by VBox - virtal this is why you need to specify which card you want to fill vmnet0

  • After the upgrade of the House 7 to 7 Pro the Toshiba support site shows the bad graphics card for L775D.

    Original title: Graphics Adapter Gone.

After the upgrade of the House 7 to 7 Pro the Toshiba support site shows the bad graphics card for my L775D. I have an AMD Radeon 6250 built in card and when you search AMD support site, it does not show my video card. I did a search automatically and empty came also.

I also had a problem with a file. TVALZ_O Sys when I search because she is on board I came with 3 files which no I can do something with. The system will accept all available Windows updates and continues do not install 3 updates of security. This a Quad Core A6 Vision 1.4 GB processor any help would be greatly appreciated as I formatted and reinstalled until I'm blue in the face.

    Hello Stephen,

The file that TVALZ_O seems to be linked to Toshiba ACPI and it seems THAT BIOS should be updated.

Since you are facing many problems after the upgrade to Windows 7 Professional, it seems you may need to check the latest updates of the Toshiba BIOS.

Important: Change the BIOS (Basic input output system) / Semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

You have to get in contact with the support Toshiba BIOS update and to get help.

Hope the helps of information. Let us know if you need help with Windows related issues. We will be happy to help you.

  • How can I configure a new TimeCapsule for an existing network without having to activate the internal networks?

I tried to go in advance and choose "Add TimeCapsule to the existing network", but it keeps defaulting to 'add a new network '.

without having to activate the internal networks?

"Add TimeCapsule to the existing network.

You cannot add a TC in an existing network, if there is.

You must configure the TC for the network.

It keeps default back to "add a new network.

So, it's OK... The TC is part of an existing network or makes a new.

You must connect to the TC network... either wireless or ethernet.

However, you can manually configure the TC simply plug ethernet for example.

See, cable using Time Capsule for Mac for backup only.

The same can be done for the wireless... but a TC is really the bad device for backups if you don't have a network... It's cheaper, faster and more reliable by using a USB key.

  • Can connect to the IPSec VPN, but can not see the internal network

I have several users that can connect to our rooms of ussing IPSec VPN on a 5505. I have a user who can connect, but cannot see the internal network. This user is using DSL with a speedstream 4100. However, I have another user with the same configuration that can connect and see the internal network. Newspapers in ASDM show the link, but do not seem to show any errors trying to access internal. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Bill.

  • Cisco vpn client to connect but can not access to the internal network

    Hi all

I have a VPN configured on cisco 5540. My vpn was working fine, but suddenly there is a question that the cisco vpn client to connect but can not access to the internal network

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi Samir,

I suggest that you go to the ASA and check the configuration to make sure that it complies with the requirements according to the reference below link:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a00805734ae.shtml

(The link above includes split tunneling, but this is just an option.

Please paste the output of "sh cry ipsec his" here so that we can check if phase 2 is properly trained. I would say as you go to IPSEC vpn client on your PC and check increment in packets sent and received in the window 'status '.

Let me know if this can help,

    See you soon,.

  • Configure the public traffic network IP inside the internal network itself and not to the external network

A server is now accessible from external network access using the IP and port in browser below http
    http://x.x.x.x:8080

For the same, we have configured (static NAT) port forwarding in cisco security 1905.

The application is also accessible via IP and the internal network port internal (ie. http://y.y.y.y:8080)

Is there a way I can configure my 1905 Cisco as well as internal network (ie. machine B) I can access the application using the IP and the public port and not with the IP address internal? From now on, I'm not able to do the same.

The current configurations are as follows:
    access-list 1 permit y.y.y.0 0.0.0.255
IP nat inside source list 1 interface GigabitEthernet0/0 overload
IP nat inside source tcp static y.y.y.y 8080 interface GigabitEthernet0/0 8080

    Hello

    You can try Domainless Nat.

no nat ip within the source list 1 interface GigabitEthernet0/0 overload
no nat inside source tcp ip static y.y.y.y 8080 interface GigabitEthernet0/0 8080

    int gig0/0
    no nat inside ip
    activate nat IP

    int gig0/1
    no nat inside ip
    activate nat IP

IP nat source list 1 interface GigabitEthernet0/0 overload
interface IP nat source tcp static y.y.y.y 8080 GigabitEthernet0/0 8080

  • VPN client without access to the internal network

    Hi all

I try to get IPsec VPN clients talk to my internal network.  Can ping the IP address of internal port, but not the bridge beyond the period of INVESTIGATION, or all the resources on the internal network.

    Thoughts?

    Hello Tony

You need to check on the following things

    1. Split tunnel network

    2. "no nat" split tunnel network

What is a network or production test (I hope that the customer have the right configuration of bridge)

Also, if possible please post your config for a better understanding

  • How to change the local IP on the virtual NETWORK adapter for Web server address

    Hi all

I have a physical Windows system, on which I run VMware Workstation 9. Now on VMware I run Ubuntu 12.10 a LAMP for a Web server.
    Problem:
Now, my local IP address for my NETWORK card virtual (using the Ubuntu one) at the address 192.168.159.7 and my router only emits the 10.0.0.x range IP addresses. So if I want to port forward to the virtual NETWORK adapter that has a 192.168 address, I can't, so my LAMP Web server are not accessible to the outside because the router does not send packets on port 80 to the virtual card... How to fix this?
The only way I guess that is to be assigned an ip address of 10.0.0.x to the virtual NETWORK adapter?
But how do I do this?
I tried to do it on the host from the Windows machine with "get my IP address automatically", but she emits an 192.168 address every time...
    Thank you

    Welcome to the community,

I guess that the virtual computer is currently configured to "NAT" or "Host-Only' networking! That would explain the 192.168.x.x IP address.

There are 2 options to be able to access the web server on the virtual computer.

    1. with "NAT" network configured

In this case forward port 80 to the IP address of the host and configure the port forwarding on the virtual computer in the "Virtual Network Editor. This way you can leave the IP address on the private network of 192 (if it is currently set to NAT)

    2. use "Bridged" network layout

Reconfigure the virtual NETWORK adapter to the machine virtual networking "Bridged" within the parameters of the virtual machine, assign an IP address from your router network (10.x.x.x) and do the port forwarding on the router directly to the IP address of the virtual machine.
