upgrade processor 1120et dv6

I just want to know that can I upgrade my cpu P7450 T9xxx series? I compared the form these cpu and I realized physical and manufacturing processes are the same, but compatibility is important. I'll be happy if someone answer my question

This changes everything, you must install an SSD, install a faster processor really won't help much to start faster and open your web browser, as well as the fact that the installation of a CPU is a huge job.

Much simpler to install an SSD.

Create your discs recovery or from your W in 8.1, create a system image on a DVD set, s, or and player external har.

You can use this method to install your OS on the SSD.

Do you have a 8.1 W disk installation or you did the upgrade of W8?

Have you created your custom HP recovery discs before you went to 8.1 W?

    Hi, Andrey:

Accroding to the specifications of your laptop, it comes with a processor AMD Turion X 2 Ultra ZM - 85 Dual - Core Mobile, correct?

If this is the case, you can not put an Intel processor in a laptop computer with an AMD processor.

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

Support for AMD processors are listed in Chapter 1, page 1.

It would not be the time or the money to upgrade to one of the most numbered 2 processors as yours.

  • Upgrading processors N100 0689-29U

I've seen several posts on upgrades of the processor for the N100 and I wondered if they work for all types of N100 laptops.

Mine is a type of N100 0689-29U that currently has an Intel Centrino Duo T2300 (1.66 GHz). I would like to move to something of 2 GHz or more if possible. I am running 2 GB of RAM, which was the max Lenovo said that will support the machine.

The reason for my upgrade is an attempt to accelerate a fire modeling program that I am running. Is it a upgrade processor speed up my computing power or would I waste my money?

    Thank you.

You have the format socket M, which are compatible with the following types of CPU.

    Intel Core Solo
    Intel Core Duo
    Intel Core 2 Duo (T5x00, T7x00)
    Intel Celeron M

However, there is a limited support for the version chip Socket M Core 2 Duo T7x00, a bios flash may be needed to do their jobs, but most of these Core 2 Duo chips are quite expensive.

CPU represents that part of the bottleneck of performance in a laptop, there is also the factor of GPU, ram, optimization of the software and hard disk file fragmentation.

If you're going to get a CPU, you should consider the T7x00 series, however, they run a tad warmer that CPU you have now.

But rather than make an upgrade with your laptop, I probably just save money and get a half decent job for modeling programs.

The price of SSDS is down and continues to fall, but if you need a size of 500 gig it will cost at least 50 cents per concert.  Perhaps consider a hybrid drive. You can get a concert 500 for $75, or about a third of what an SSD would cost:

No A10 processor is supported. A8-3550MX is the fastest listed in the guide, which probably need you:

Sometimes the processors are not not in the manual work, but it's a little a long shot. Updates are not officially supported, and if you ask to HP directly should not do.

  • Upgrade processor for HP Pavilion dv6-4023TX.

    Hey there,

I am looking to upgrade my i7 bottom range CPU so that my laptop's performance may be noticeably improved, for things such as video, audio and image design. I have an HP Pavilion dv6-4023TX Notebook PC, running Windows 8 professional 64-bit OS.

    This is my current CPU:

    Intel Core I7-2630QM 2.00-GHz (turbo up to 2.90-GHz) processor, 6-MB L2 cache, 1600 MHz,45 W

And I want to update to:

    Intel Core i7-2820QM 2.30-GHz (turbo up to 3.40-GHz) processor, 8-MB L2 cache, 1600 MHz,45 W

I found these details in the

HP Pavilion dv6 Entertainment PC - Maintenance and Service Guide

It's the best processor compatible with my machine, according to the high maintenance manual described here. The laptop has a video player so (ATI) with which I am happy so far. The problem starts to appear when the strugels processor to process the final video file. I have 8 GB of RAM installed on the computer, and I modernize that one for the 16 GB maximum, once I know that I can upgrade the processor.

If you require any more information about my laptop in order to help me, please ask and I will be happy to provide them

If there is a better processor compatible with the motherboard, and you recommend it, please let me know.

Also, if possible, I've seen some of the more recent models dv6, blacks who came just after the dv6-4023TX, who have a HD display.  Is it possible for me to update the display as well? If so, can what part number you recommend?

    Kind regards

    Yanni

The i7-2820QM is your option at the top of the page. You'll need the manual, and I think you might have seen it, but just in case, here it is:

    Manual

Unfortunately, your system does not support 16 GB of RAM. Also from 2 ghz to 2.3 ghz, even with an increase of L2 cache memory won't be a huge improvement. The processor is about $ 150. I'm not sure it'll be worth it, but it's your call. If you need assistance more let us know:

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/Intel-Core-I7-2820QM-SR012-2-3GHz-up-to-3-4GHz-8Mb-5GT-s-PGA988-quad-core-CPU-/261562461727?PT=CPUs&hash=item3ce6566e1f

The tasks you described are probably dependent on CPU but some audio and image design applications depend on the storage access and an SSD can do wonders.  Only the compatible screen is 1366 x 768. Even if you can update the screen, you would seek another $ 150 or more and with your laptop and $300, more than you could probably get a 4th gen i7 laptop computer which can be significantly more capable. Just say "."

  • My first upgrade of processor. Dv6-3160ss

    Hello

    I have laptop DV6-3160ss with the Intel i3 370 m and I plan to update to i7

I read info on this processor but I want to be sure.

    Can I put this i7-720QM or i7-840QM?
Where can I find the update of the BIOS for this processor?

I do this first, but I really need to do.

    Hello:

Before your first upgrade of processor becomes your first unsuccessful processor upgrade, you can take a look at Chapter 3 pages, 22 and 23 of the repair.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02657339.PDF

Note that the quad core processors require a motherboard different than those with the dual core processors.

Chapter 1 provides a list of processors picked up, and with your current setup, I would say that the best you can do is the i5 - 580 m.

  • Upgrade processor dv6-1245dx

    I have a DV6-1245dx, and he now has the Intel Core 2 T6500 (2.10 ghz, 2 m L2 Cache and FSB800) inside.

    I'm looking to upgrade to 6 m L2 cache. Here's my question:

If you upgraded to a processor FSB of 1066, it's going to work or not and if so, he will remain at the FSB 800 or 1066 FSB

It is a Quanta 3627 motherboard. using the chipset GM45/47

BTW I am running Windows XP 64-bit (I could not stand the slow speed and problems with Vista 64-bit) and I hope that Windows 7 64 bit works better - lol

because I have my doubts, so if you're stuck with XP 64 bit dirver problems, I can help.

The answer is Yes - but everything comes out to get to the CPU, this includes readers, cards, KB, MB, LCD display...

I'm surprised that no one replied to this question.

Recapitulation, the jury of 3627 Quanta within a DV6-1245dx with GM45/GM47 chipset will support 800 and 1066 FSB CPUS, including the

T9900 to 3.06 ghz, 6 m cache L2. And by changing it, you probably cancelled any warranty, but when managed - the laptop is screaming fast!

I advise anyone do an upgrade of the processor I have done by someone who has experience, if you ever ripped a computer

    and putting it together (work)

    No high cost!

We meet again. The manual I linked in the other post on the MSSD has a list of processors.

T9900, T9800, T9600 all possibilities and would be a lot better than a T4200. The T9900 is still quite expensive since it is the top, Core 2 Duo. The T9600 is always a very good processor much more available than T9900s and less expensive.

  • Upgrading processor... I know, please bear with me

This is a redundant question, I know and I'm sorry, but I want to be absolutely certain before I give up my search for the upgrade. I have a HP Pavilion DV6-6c35dx with a processor AMD A8 - 3520M. I tried to do things that apparently require an Intel processor. I found the interview here guide which lists compatible processors for my laptop: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03099531.pdf this list of compatible processors gave me the impression that the processors are specific to the computer. But simple research on the forum has produced the information that an AMD processor may not be upgraded to a processor Intel because of different motherboards, chipsets and Sockets. It says even for the Pavilion DV6-6c35dx of 2012?

There is so much more I want to do with my laptop. I just put the hard drive, and now I find that I am still limited. I like much this laptop, and I don't want a new one; I want to just my machine to do what I want to do. I have no interest in Windows 8.  Your help and your patience is appreciated.

"an AMD processor cannot be upgraded to an Intel processor because of the different motherboards, chipsets and Sockets. This specific for even for the Pavilion DV6-6c35dx of 2012? »

Yes, that is right. A notebook platform AMD or desktop PC can't be upgraded with an Intel processor.
