Upgrading CPU for T510 please help.

Hello!

So I have a thinkpad t510 laptop, with a fairly low i5 520 m. I was wondering if I would be able to upgrade my current CPU with a more powerful i7 (quad core) 2760qm because the they share the same socket pga988/G1.

N ° the 2nd generation of CPU will not work on a 1st gen (T510) motherboard.

  • Upgrading CPU for HP Pavilion P7 1534

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my CPU for my pavilion p7 1534. The motherboard has a socket FM2 and comes with A8-5500. Maybe upgrade the CPU to an A10 - 6800 k the best upgrade AMD or the A10 - 5700 k. I wonder because the 5700 k is a Trinity, while the A10 is a Richland.

    Nate, welcome to the forum.

Here are the processors supported by HP and the motherboard:

  • receive phone calls from a guy who says he works for windows, please help.

Hi all, I got a phone call from a guy yesterday saying my computer downloaded currupt and Marie-Claire files and had asked, on behalf of microsoft, to contact me this was a business partner?, it was the Indian accent but did not speak good enough English if you listened well, at this point, he had my full attention that my computer was slow in the months , I explained that I had someone find and remove programs for me to speed it up, but it was persistent in getting me in front of the computer. He said he could help me and show me the problems? I asked name hes, he gave and he even new my name and what platform I was using. I don't remember the name of the company, that he said, that he was but the phone number was 0206 something something? After reading this other storys hoax here had me calm worried, he explained that the problem needs to be fixed and I must say after testing to see if he was legitimate, he even said that he would put the supervisor on... He explained to me the same thing and although I challenged somemore on what it could be anyone he said sure, but were not trying to make that you are something weird to us, cannot remember everything exactly, but I said ill insatall a virus program myself, who while he became upset, saying big companys will charge you loads just go on your computer so that I can that I you Guide in that says im? • G61 - 320CA: upgrade CPU for laptop PC HP G61 - 320CA

    Hello.

I bought this laptop in 2005 (new)

Product name: HP G61 - 320CA (laptop, laptop)

    Product number: VM345UA #ABC

Microprocessor: of GHz AMD Athlon II Dual-Core processor for notebook PC M300 2.00

Cache of the microprocessor;         1 MB L2 Cache

Motherboard:, DAOOP8MB6DO REV: D (cannot distinguish if they are zeros or letters after DA and P8MB)

also written near the edge 16 "OP8

After a good cleaning, I realized that I have the opportunity to upgrade the processor. The processor is removable.

The installed processor is an AMD Athlon II

Is there by chance, a way to find an upgrade to this processor that would be compatible with the laptop?

Technical support told me that Intel were not capatible to stick with AMD but it coulndn can't tell me which one I could install.

This laptop is no longer under warranty, but it is in perfect condition. I would like to find a faster processor compatible.

Even if abandoned, I know I can find an upgrade on eBay (as any one of my office PCs.)

    Thx a lot

    Here is the Manual:

    Manual

    Top of page compatible processor:

    M600 AMD Turion™ X 2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile Processor:, Processor 2. 4 GHz, 2 MB L2 cache, 3.6 GT/s HyperTransport speed

They are practically giving these AMD processors because there is simply no demand away. It might be a fun project and if you have already opened it upwards and I saw how to remove and replace the processor at this price, you might as well. There will be an improvement, but don't expect miracles. Let us know if you need help most.

  • Upgrading CPU for IdeaPad N585?

Hey everybody! First time poster here.

So I recently bought a N585 and updated RAM 8 GB, hoping to get a performance gain, given the slow super 64-bit AMD E1, but it is still a serious lack in power and crashes a lot. I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for a processor more powerful that is compatible with my laptop, preferably without having to reinstall Windows.

Also, is there a manual to repair/maintenance everywhere out there for this model?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi JGress,

Please see extracted HMM, page 89:

    11 E1-1200 1.4 G 1 M 2 C C0 BGA CPU AMD (N585) 102500308

AMD E1 and E2 are BGA CPU, soldered to the motherboard, that is to say

A6, A8 and A10 are PGA CPU, IE nested.

  • Question about upgrading CPU for Satellite A30 104?

    Hello

My Satellite A30 104 recently came at the end of its warranty and had to open the heatsink for cleaning, and seeing that the CPU was available, I wonder if there should be (likely) to upgrade.

The processor is a Celeron 2.6 GHz (Northwood). I'm no more grunt, I would prefer a more low-power chip, while the cache L2 much bigger of a Pentium 4 is also desirable. I would be very grateful if someone could give advice if upgrades are likely available, and if so the chips would be appropriate? If I can give any more useful technical information, please ask.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Usually it s not advisable to upgrade the CPU on laptops, because no one can tell if the laptop runs correctly and stable after the upgrade.
The heat and the temperature inside the laptop could be a serious problem.

In any case, I think that the laptop supports an Intel 852GME chipset.
    http://www.Intel.com/products/chipsets/852GME/index.htm

The Intel 852GME chipset is optimized for the Mobile Intel Pentium 4 processor, has a main bus at 533 MHz and up to 2 GB memory DDR 266/333/200 at high speed.

    But I'm not sure about m making it s 479 or 478

  • Upgrading CPU for laptop HP Pavilion ze2355ea?

    Hello

My first post - please be gentle!

Can someone tell me if it's worth upgrading my CPU to a 1.6 GHz AMD Turion™ 64 processor ML-30, say, a ML-40 2.2 GHz or 2.4 GHz ML-44?

And if it's worth the upgrade, I would find a significant difference in performance between the ML - 44 (available on ebay for over US$ 120) or the ML-40 (around US $60 or less).  Do I have other options for a CPU upgrade that correspond to a Socket 754?

Some background info: I have a ze2355ea HP Pavilion 6 years old Notebook, running Windows XP (Service Pack 3), with original material specification following:

    Microprocessor AMD Turion™ 64 processor ML-30

The microprocessor Cache Memory 1 MB level 2 cache

    Memory 1024 MB DDR 333 MHz (2 x 512 MB)

Max memory up to 1 GB

Video Graphics ATI RADEON® XPRESS 200 M IGP graphics card

128 MB of shared video memory

Hard drive 60 GB 4200 RPM

Multimedia player DVD Writer double Format (+/-R +/-RW) with support Double layer

    15.0 "XGA TFT Brightview display

I am not in a position to buy a new laptop now, but desperately need to improve performance and storage for internet streaming video and RAW photo editing.

So, I've recently updated the RAM 2 x 1 GB ByteStor, and a 160 GB 5400 RPM Samsung HARD disc.  I've also updated my BIOS and other drivers with the latest versions, I can find.

The increased capacity of the HARD disk is large and HARD drive access times are significantly improved, but the doubling of RAM from 1 GB to 2 GB did me not increase speed and stability that I expected to when running resource hungry applications in resources, such as RAW photo editors.

But back to my questions of title.  It's worth the shot of upgrading me the 1.6 GHz AMD Turion™ 64 processor ML-30, for a 2.2 GHz ML-40 or 2.4 GHz ML-44? Can I find a noticeable difference in performance between the ML - 44 (available on ebay for over US$ 120) or the ML-40 (around US $60 or less).  Do I have other options for a CPU upgrade that correspond to a Socket 754?

I'm perfectly comfortable disassembling and rebuilding my laptop, after already taking part to resolder a doubtful DC power outlet, so falling into a new CPU doesn't discourage me.  I would like to just some assurance that I would spend my money wisely.

Thank you very much in advance for any advice.

    Hello

The only faster processors that are compatible with the motherboard of your laptop are the:

    Mobile AMD Turion 64 ML-37 (2.0 GHz)

    Mobile AMD Turion 64 ML - 34 (1.80 GHz)

    Mobile AMD Turion 64 ML - 32 (1.80 GHz)

The 40 ML and ML-44 are not supported by the BIOS.  It would be a waste of your money to buy.  The Mobile AMD Turion 64 ML-37 (2.0 GHz) is a supported processor. Given that the increase would be + 400 mhz it would be a significant increase in performance.

    Best regards

  • Upgrading CPU for HP Pavilion dv9730nr notebook Entertainment

I'm looking for the best/most fast Intel processor to upgrade a HP Pavilion dv9730 Entertainment notebook. The motherboard is a Quanta 30CB. Aware of the processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 1.66 GHz. I am trying to upgrade this laptop for my grandson to play some of the new games of intense action. I looked at different forums, but most of them is at least two years. I also watched the service for laptops manual series dv9700. The top page in their list processor is the Intel Core 2 Duo T7700 2.4 GHz. Since most of these lists are old, I want to know if there are faster processors that are compatible with the laptop and a motherboard safely.

Only, you are sure to install a processor originally proposed by HP on this range of laptops. As noted above, it is not really a mother Quanta is a motherboard HP, full owner. There is also no way to improve the system without radical changes in case of cooling and engineering tips; the only CPU cooler is the original factory unit unless you do another and even in this case, the tight fit limits what you can really do. The fsb and the power must remain the same, as well.
