Upgrading the graphics card for my HP G5225uk

speficications:

AMD Atlon (tm) II x 4 635 (4CPUs), 2.9 GHZ processor

3072 ram - 3 GB

Nvidia Gforce 6150SE Nforce 430

Windows 7 home premium 64-bit

500 GB SATA HARD drive

I have never installed a graphics card on a computer but I do the know-how to do it since I am pursuing their studies in computer science for about 4 years.

still I would like to know if my requirements was good enough for the high graphic display, basically, I want to play the latest pc games of blizzard and so far my graphics card can't handle the graphics as well. I also want a list of graphics card recommended that anyone of you could recommend me for games, since I'm a fan of Nvidia if that were the case, it would be much better.

Thanks in advance for all the help and answers.

a link in the case of the more detailed characteristics are necessary: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02582387

Gomaster,

ATI recommends a minimum of a power of 400 watts for video cards Radeon HD 4xxx series.

I have recommended video cards which take about the same with a power of 300 watts peak power, but then the recommended video card manufacturer only a minimum of a 300 Watt power supply.

Look at the NVIDIA GT 430.  It's a faster card compared to the Radeon 4650.  The NVIDIA GT 430 is rated for a 300 Watt power supply.

It is interesting that the 4650 Radeon and NVIDIA 430 take about the same peak power still ATI recommends a 400 watt verses of power supply a power of 300 watts for the NVIDIA card.

    Hello:

Graphics cards cannot be updated simply.

You will need to replace the motherboard with another which would have better graphics (if available for your model).

This would cost as much buying a new laptop, so it is probably not a good idea to undertake such a venture.

  • Upgrading the graphics card for Inspiron 560

I want to improve my video card, so I can play Diablo III on my computer but I don't know which ones will work with that PC.  All of the suggestions.  This is a link to recommended for the game cards.

    https://us.battle.NET/support/en/article/Diablo-III-supported-video-cards

I don't want to buy one, if it does not work.  Any help is appreciated.

You don't have to a 300 watt power supply with the unit of stock, take into account when it passes a video card unless you're going to upgrade the PSU also.  7750 HD is the best to get without changing your diet, as suggested, and his performance is between the HD 6750 and HD 6770.  The list just does not show the new 7000 series AMD cards or 600 series Nvidia cards.  With the 7750 HD, you will have a card in the category high performance.  You certainly don't want one of these old maps of low performance.

Is it possible to upgrade the graphics card on Macbook Pro with Retina Display mid-2015? If Yes, what is the best graphics card for Mac?

    Without this change.

GPU is a chipset that is soldered to the logic board or at least a mini-map attached to the logic board.  In addition, the stitching and the GPU driver are optimized for the preselected GPU.

  • Main problems to upgrade the graphics card in my Mac Pro in 2006.

I am trying to upgrade the graphics card OEM in my Mac Pro 2006 to a Radeon HD 4870 1 GB graphics card.  I have big problems.  The previous owner recommended that my BONES 10.7.5 uninstalling and reinstalling.  I don't know how to do this.  The Apple website was no help with this issue.  The previous owner gave me a lot of procedures I've ever done before, including removing and re-creation of my RAM and using a Kext troubleshooting application.  Any suggestions you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

a 4870 with 1 GB of VRAM is not a real Mac card (who had only 512 MB of VRAM). Unlikely to show an image until the login screen, if ever. Unless the seller has a 100% guaranteed working procedure to get this working, I recommend you return for a refund - it is not likely to work in your Mac.

A true 5770 Mac or 5870 is the best approach for a 2006 or 2007 Mac Pro, because they are known to work with everything except movies under copyright, and your Mac is stuck in the 32-bit kernel and pre - 10.7.5 MacOS.

Could someone here tell me if I could install this material? Thank you

    Graphics card: here

    Hello

The NVIDIAGTX 650or the NVIDIA GTX 660would be a good choice.  I'd go with the GTX 660 if you want to run at resolutions higher than with the ultra game settings.    The Corsair CX 500 or CX600 would be good choice for a replacement power supply.

The 6 GB of memory in your PC is a little low by RUST, but I would give it a go with the updates above before increasing the memory of your system.

    Hi again!

I'm here again after the successful installation of nVidia GeForce 9500 GT on my HP Pavilion p6040in desktop PC. And believe me it is a true pleasure by adding a new graphics card to a new system.

The system very fortunately accepted the map regarding the dimensions and the extent of the power supply is concerned. Although I intend to install 450 W PSU and Nvidia 9600/9800 GT.

See the Images below both the Nvidia 8400 GS 512 MB dedicated graphics card, 9500 GT 1 GB dedicated graphics card are mounted in the chassis of a HP Pavilion p6040in.

And after the addition of the nVidia GeForce 9500 GT, my side of the Pc under-score card goes to 5.0. Thanks to Nvidia GeForce 9500 GT!

Now, Erico, it's a response of your challenege. It is not in my hands deduct you points! So I can't do something like that...

But one thing I want to say that please do not mislead people if you do not complete technical knowledge about what...

    Hello

Here are the specs of your machine:

    http://bizsupport1.Austin.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/document.jsp?objectID=c02033074 & lang = to & CC = US & TaskID = 101 & prodSeriesId = 4074269 & prodTypeId = 321957

He uses: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500 M, which is soldred to the motherboard so practically you can not change because you have to change the motherboard, to buy the new video card, to change the cooling system... all adding up will cost more than a new machine.

    Kind regards.

    Thank you

    Hello

The choice of nVidia or Intel HD 4000 graph means that there is a different motherboard. I think that the motherboard with the Intel chip is not having a dedicated graphics (nVidia or ATI) and use only the graphics chip integrated into the processor which is the Intel HD 4000 processors Ivy Bridge (HD 3000 on Sandy Bridge ones). If you choose the option with the nVidia graphics card, it will have a graphics chip dedicated (with its own graphics memory XGB of DDR3/5) and you can choose (in the BIOS or using Nvidia Optimus) between two graphics cards because the Intel HD 4000 will always be there as part of the CPU.

I don't think you can upgrade the graphics card later because the card is soldered to the motherboard and the only option how update the graphics card is to replace the motherboard with a more powerful graphics chip already on it.

The option with the nVidia chip will be more expensive but worth it because the graphics card from nVidia is more powerful than the Intel HD 4000.

    Hello

It is not really possible to upgrade the graphics card on your laptop - even though it's called a 'map', it is actually physically soldered to the motherboard.
