Upgrading the Toshiba with Vista SP2 product recovery disks? (32-bit)

Is it possible to upgrade my installation cd (I have an ISO of it file) with Service Pack 2?

The original disc is 32-bit edition, no service pack. I ask because I think it is unnecessary to wait 2 more hours each time when I reinstall the system to service packs to be installed: s

Any help appreciated,
Greetings from Poland - Wyso :)

Hello

> Is it possible to upgrade my installation cd (I have an ISO of it file) with Service Pack 2?
I think that this is not possible because the iso file is a package that cannot be opened again.

But it is possible to install the OS by using the recovery disk.
Then to install SP2 and then to create an image of the C partition.
I did it by using the utility of Symantec Ghost.
I create an image of my C partition, and is that something goes wrong I can retrieve the unit by using this ghost image file

Welcome them

  • The installation of Vista SP2 broke my computer

I've lived in innumerable discussions on this site and many others to solve this problem the Vista SP2 has caused my computer to have. I have a Toshiba with Vista x 64 Home Premium computer and after several attempts failed to download SP2 months ago, I tried last night and after that he was 100% and restarted my computer it actually ruined my computer to be useful. I don't have a vista disc but a recovery partition. I already tried to use the restore point created by vista before installing SP2, but of course since it is vista this restore point fails and I have created several others before, but as if by magic, they are not put at my disposal. What is even more galling it broke my partition Ubuntu separate to be able load as well which makes absolutely no sense.

I get the same error again and again as hundreds of others after SP2 installation on the black screen: ! 0xc0190036! 3029/89361 (dsound.dll) , I found a solution involving the use of partitions recovery tools command prompt to use this code:

    C:
    CD windows
    CD system32
    faultrep.dll.old Ren faultrep.dll
    output

now, it worked the first time during this first stop in 1316/89361 on the startup process when he stopped to faultrep.dll, then of course another stop to dsound.dll happened and I tried the same thing, as advised in a support forum and it worked in the command prompt, but loading at startup it will pass fine faultrep since the fix but will not pass the dsound.dll portion.

I ran a test of memory and a hard drive and it is absolutely not she. It was absolutely the installation of Vista SP2 all screwing.

A lot of people with this problem have been very well when they could use their restore point, but of course vista is still inconsistent and would not allow me to restore my computer so now I have a $1200 thanks to the crap service Pack2 weight. I can log on to the recovery tools command prompt and open notepad.exe and file open to view my computers content together intact so much, I would like to know a solution for this problem. I also found a command line to uninstall SP2 with high fees, but because I can not connect via the mode without failure of all or the safe mode with command prompt, how am I supposed to use the instructions to uninstall sp2 via command prompt?

Any help would be greatly appreciated since windows makes my computer a waste of money.

The page I used to solve problems has been directly for the support site for windows and for exactly the same problem I have but he did nothing. http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx/KB/975430 is the link, I tried method 1 is the system restore and that has failed, because it fails just about my only point that shows that I did much more than restoration. Method 2 is to rename the file that stops the boot process, who worked for the first file but not the second. Method 3 is the startup repair that does not work.

  • HP Pavilion with Vista, SP2 m9510f keeps freezing upwards

My HP Pavillion (with Vista, SP2) m9510f started to freeze until a few months previously, apparently at random times. I did all the cleaning of the computer and diagnosis operations I can think, nothing helps. Most of the common time it freezes is when I use Outlook (writing emails, etc), but also when I'm on YouTube. A check on my Windows application event log shows frequent instances of the CAPI2 (same ID 11) error, generally followed the WMI (event ID 10) anywhere between 20 and 50 seconds after the CAPI2 error. This pair of errors still happens when I start the computer, but sometimes also occur just before a freeze. I used the tool of Microsoft 'Fix - It' which should resolve the CAPI2 error, but it made no difference. I also have occasional "SidebySide" errors and mistakes 'Hello Service', as well as system errors 'Bowser '. I'm running out of ideas and hope someone can help me, that these system freeze seem to occur with increasing frequency. Thank you, John.

  • Safely remove the device with VISTA is not infallible

I have a HP Pavilion Slimline nine running Vista.

I plug a USB key or an external hard drive and it reads very well.

I have try the safely eject button, and the light on my memory stick stays on. With XP, it came out, and I knew that I could remove the stick. It goes the same for my external hard drive... Done, I could hear that he stop and watch out slight shift when I used the feature of MATERIAL in any SAFETY REMOVE (SRH) of XP.

Not the case with VISTA. After completing the SRH steps, these devices always seem to be on.

I read that Vista not turn off light after things are ejected... is - it true?
    Any suggestions?

Are there any patches or downloadable patches?

    Hello walden1,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Community Forum.

The only time where SRH did not finish is when there is an application or a service that is always access the drive somehow.  I fyou're sure there is no transfer, then you can disconnect with the safety of the food.  themajin concern is when access to the data or transfer is underway.

-J' read that Vista not turn off light after things are ejected... is - it true?
It has been my experience that it's false.  Once ejected, using SRH or not the light turns off and the player is uninstalled.  Now, if you use memory for ready boost of course light remains lit and SRH still not eject it.  So maybe it's somehting that you'll want to check.  If your right click the drive in the Solution Explorer, then select properties the last tab should be the tab ready boost and you can switch if and how much of the training will be used for this.

    Thank you

  • Printer on Windows 7 PC, unable to connect with the laptop with Vista

I have a Lexmark 2600 Series printer on a Windows 7 32-bit computer.  I am not able to connect to the printer with Vista laptop for my wife.  I can share files and see the printer.  I try to connect and I get "Windows cannot connect to the printer. Impossible operation completed (error 0x000003eb). "I tried to install locally and change the path without success.  Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi Zyfot,

First of all, I would say that you add the printer on the vista computer and check.

    1. open Printers by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, hardware and soundand then click Printers.
    2. click on Add a printer.
    3. in the Add Printer Wizard, select Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer.
    4. in the list of available printers, select the one you want to use, and then click Next. If your computer is connected to a network, only printers listed in Active Directory for your domain are displayed in the list.
    5. If prompted, install the printer driver on your computer. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    6. follow the steps in the wizard and then click Finish.

Install a printer on a home network

    Network printer problems
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-network-printer-problems

Also, make sure that the print spooler service is running on the windows vista computer.

A print spooler is the service that temporarily stores the disk printing hard or in memory until the printer is ready to print.
You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps.

    1. open Administrative Tools by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type Administrative Tools, and then click Administrative Tools.
    2. double-click on Services. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    3. right click on the print spooler service, and then click Properties.
    4. under the tab general , next to Startup type, make sure that Automatic is selected.
    5. If the service is not already running, under Service status, click Startand then click OK. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    I hope this helps!

  • Satellite P200 - Product Recovery Disk 2/2 does not work

    Hello

because my laptop (Satellite P200 - I bought in December 2007) does not work more properly - and when, after a lot of cleaning it still wasn't working properly - I decided to start from the beginning and restore the operating system with 2 product recovery cd / dvd.

Recovery disk 1/2 worked well - Windows Vista Home Premium product is loaded again on my computer.

But what abot * Disck2/2 product recovery? *
At one point, the recovery program calls for a 'supplement' but when I put in the product recovery disc 2/2 at this time, that the program does not recognize the disc. During the rest of the recovery program the program didn't ask for Product Recovery Disk 2/2, so the content of this CD-ROM/dvd now is not loaded on my laptop.

    Someone had this problem too?
What do you have on this?
Is this a problem for not loading the content of the product recovery disc 2/2 (I can go without it?)?

Thanks in advance for any response!

    Hello

    > Products 1/2 worked well - Windows Vista Home Premium recovery disc is loaded again on my computer.

I put t know which modules the tool called for, but AFAIK the Toshiba image contains the operating system Vista, Toshiba drivers and additional software.
So if you've recovered the laptop using the recovery disk Toshiba 1 then the laptop must be set to the SAME State as at the first day of the purchase.

PS: what files you can find on the second disk?

  • Creating a product recovery disk

    Hello all,.

I currently encounter some technical problems with my Qosmio G20 which are almost certainly related material. Before I have to send my system back to people kind of Toshiba, I want to create a full backup of my current configuration of the system, or more specifically a product custom recovery disk similar to the one provided by Toshiba.

From what I understand of your average product recovery disk, it consists of an operating system that is scratched downwards (usually Windows 95/98) and a disk/partition image (which is to restore). It seems so that it is within the reach of us ordinary people to produce a bespoke, product recovery disc is possible and if so how should we do about it? Also (as my current setup probably carries a little more "inflate" than the original default factory configuration) is it possible to create a multi-disc product recovery solution?

I look forward to any assistance provided.

    Kinder,.
    Lee Hyde.

    Hello Lee

I guess you have preinstalled many useful applications and also optimized OS preinstalled. The same situation is on my laptop Tecra and if something goes wrong (defective HARD drive or a virus) I need hours to install and configure the new OS. Because of that I created my own recovery DVDs and also my own recovery image. To do this, I bought Norton Ghost 10.0.

By using this software, I created my own recovery image and recorded on the second partition. If the BONE is infected with the virus, I am able to recovery OS and it will be as before without any CD or DVD. I browse to the saved image and after 20 minutes, things go back like before.

Of course, you can create bootable DVDs and save the image ghost on DVD. It costs a bit, but trust me it's really good investment. Of course, on the market, you can find many other similar products. Also talk with your friends and colleagues. Maybe one of them has very good experiences in this regard.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you much about the recovery of product multi-disc.

    Bye and good luck!
