  Yes, you can use the same key, but make sure that the installation is performed only once and a 32-bit parallel installation with the same key on other computer should not exist.
  You must perform a clean installation only and upgrade/downgrade cross-architecture (32-bit to 64-bit or vice versa) is not supported.

  Hello, I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit with SP2 and recently met a problem trying to get windows updates. I spent days reading post and the windows support and community application solves nothing doesn't. I receive the error 80246008 so they were trying to get updates. I followed of many positions and patches with a limited degree of success recommended. I have windows update to activate and my COM + service is on and working but my smart information transfer Service does not appear in my register and the list of services. On another note, I can't get MSE update of virus definitions, related question, I guess?   You cannot use recovery discs to install with, if not for the exact model computer that you install.  You need a full installation detail of the model of Vista operating system you want to install since you don't downgrade your operating system to a system that offers no right of demotion.

  What happens when you try?  Make sure you drag the icon image and not the text of the name.

  If it still doesn't work there are some registry changes that can try to alleviate the problem.  But because the changes to the registry are tedious and dangerous, I recommend to leave the system to repair it for you.  Here's how:
