USB 20.0 M pixels 6 LED Webcam Web Cam does not?

Recently I bought this webcam for my laptop, 20.0 MEGA pixel 6 LED Webcam Web Cam camera computer. In fact, I bought two one for me and one for my son and have not been able to get them to function. When I plug the usb and microphone cable, it tells that the new hardware has been found and it is to install the software of the new device. It complements and says device is ready to be used, but the camera does not work. The microphone works without problem, I tried reistalling the device a couple of times and in different ways without success. I tried unisnstalling, resettlement, adding hardware, etc.
The camera stands out in Device Manager as a camera USB 2.0 in imaging equipment and records of cable into the USB as a Composite USB.
Does anyone have ideas to make the camera work? I would really appreciate it!
Running Windows Vista thanks

Thank you Robert Charney

Hello

If the webcam appears in Device Manager, idon't think that you will need special software for the cable.

You could try the cam with Live Messenger.

If it fails, you can get an error message more information.

    Hello

Try doing a system restore. Go to the SEARCH bar and type system restore.
Once the System Restore screen, select a restore point (it must be before the problem occurred), launch it. Check.
You can also update the drivers of your computer (the webcam driver). If you do not know how to locate, you can use RadarSync to find out-of-date drivers.

I bought the USB 3 G modem which works fine, but I was just curious to know if the laptop must have a built-in 3G modem, and if yes, what is the meaning of the key FN and the LED as this model does not have a built-in modem.

    Thank you.

    Hi mate

Please take a look in the user manual which must be preinstalled on the laptop.
There is information that the FN buttons in combination with the F1 - F12 keys would have enabled some features/options.
The WAN/Wlan can also be switched on and off using the FN key!

It seems that Satellite C75-A-12D PSCE2E 04804UGR was already pre-installed with the 64-bit Windows 8.1 System.

I would recommend you to get the system to point in time early (before the MS updates was installed). In case this isn't possible, use the Toshiba HDD retrieve and set the operating system to factory settings.

Then make sure that the webcam, but also two USB ports.

    Hello

    > Yesterday I had installed version Skype 5.5.0.114 and the camera has functioned well, I upgraded Skype version 5.5.0.117 and the camera started not to work.

This means that it is not software for laptop problem or a webcam, but maybe it s Skype related issue.
You should check if the webcam has been chosen correctly in Skype video settings.

If this does not work, uninstall the 5.5.0.117 version of the system, reboot the laptop, clean the registry using CCleaner (freeware tool) and then after reboot again to install the 5.5.0.117 again if not check the 5.5.0.114 a version that worked correctly in the past.

  • Error: One of the USB devices attached to this system has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it.

tried already everything written here. When I plug my USB device (3 of them) my Windows a sad of the USB devices attached to this system has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it. I tried plugging it into another winXP machine, it won't work. Can you help me?

    Original title: usb malfunction

    His salvation,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum.

    1. What are the troubleshooting steps you have tried so far?
    2. If it works much earlier? If so, did you do changes on the computer before this problem?
    3. What type of USB device you are using?

As you mentioned that the USB device does not work when plugged into a WinXP machine, it may be a problem with the device itself. In addition, the question may also arise if the currently loaded USB driver has become unstable or damaged or if your PC requires an update for problems that could conflict with a device USB and Windows.

Therefore, I suggest you try the following methods (skip the ones that you already tried) and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

Please try the fixit (s) provided below which will help you solve common problems associated with devices and USB ports.

If method 1 does not work, try Method 2.

    Method 2:

Remove and reinstall all USB controllers.

    1. Open Manager devices by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click system and security, and then, under System, clicking Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    2. In the list of the categories of equipment, locate and expand Bus USB controllers.
    3. Right-click every device under the Bus USB controllers node and then click Uninstall to remove them one at a time.
    4. Restart the computer and let the USB controllers get reinstalled.
    5. Plug in the removable USB device and test to make sure that the problem is solved.

If the problem persists, go to method 3.

    Method 3:

This method will install the latest drivers from device to your USB device.

    1. Click the Start button, type Windows Update in the search box, and then click Windows Update in the results pane.
    2. Click find updates. When the scan finished, click optional review updates.
    3. Click the check box next to the update, and then click install updates.
    4. If you are prompted, read the license agreement, then click I agree.
    5. Follow the instructions on the screen to download and install updates.
    6. If you are prompted, restart your computer.

More information: Update a hardware driver that is not working properly

If the device fails after updating the driver, you can try to roll back the driver with its previous version.

Restore a driver with its previous version

Hope this information is useful. If the problem still persists, please post back for further assistance, we will be happy to help you.

  • USB camera does not

I have a 'VF0700 Creative LIVE! Cam Chat HD"USB camera that worked well in Mac OS X before my update to OS X El Capitan. It appears as a USB device in the 'system' report and I tried different usb ports and reset the SMC and be "zapped" the LANDAU.  No idea if this will be fixed in future update?  It's a standard UVC camera and it works with Skype and photo booth, etc. with the old OS X (I have a Mac Pro 3.1) and I can boot the old system and it works fine).

librarian7 wrote:... it works with OSX... older...

From your description, your device should work with 10.11.4.

First, use Apple http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2090 to check the user-specific problems. You may simply move on to a user account that does not have the problem.

(BTW - troubleshooting section called an "iSight" camera.  However, after that article was published, Apple has changed the name of the built-in camera on the recent "iSight" Macs "FaceTime", then "FaceTime HD."  Whatever the name of your built-in camera, the same info and troubleshooting applies.)

To check the user-specific problems, you must test several Apple app (photo booth, FaceTime, iMovie, QuickTime Player, etc.) in more than one user account.  Do NOT use a 'Guest' for this test account.  If you have not already established a separate user, testing account, create one now.  If you need help, how is explained in http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201754.

A 'Standard' user account is all you need for the tests.

If your camera will work properly with Apple in any OS X 10.11.4 applications user account, use OS X Recovery to reinstall completely your Mac OS X 10.11.4 System Recovery stored on your startup disk.  Don't bother test Skype or other 3rd party apps until you have your camera works with applications Apple.
