• How to bed a HWS file that contains 2 tracks, in labview? (error-21508)

  Dear experts,

  I have been using an acquisition card PXI-5105 to save the data of 2 channels at the same time (from different sensors).

  So far I've read Matlab files, taking into account, the name of the group, the name of the track and the coefficients of each channel. I was able to post-process the data in Matlab. I have attached an example of the kind of files that I'm handling if it can help, inside a zip.

  Now, I want to implement this post-processing (FFT, etc.) in Labview. I tried to use examples such as "hws_low_level_read.vi" or even the load HI-HWS Express utility to check the file, but it seems difficult to read because of the 2 channels recorded within the same file.

  The 21508 error appears in the 'Get Wfm reference.vi niHWS'. Making reference to:

  21508 error occurred at niHWS get Wfm Reference.vi

  Possible reasons: NIHWS: there is no group in the file that corresponds to the provided group

  And it seems strange to me, because I use the same group name (wfm_group0) and trace (vector0) I used in Matlab.

  All that I'm missing? No clue on how to read somehow?

  I've been faced with that problem today and I just wanted to post here how I finally found a way to read the data.

  It's so easy that I'm a little ashamed, but I think that it is worth to answer in case someone would need.

  The "Get wfm reference niHWS' request for a group name and a name of the waveform. I used the "niHWS name Get Group' and 'Get wfm name niHWS '. Both have outputs direct (strings) with information that includes "niHWS Get wfm reference". You can link directly.

  But in fact, in reading the data that I found the name of the Group didn't need to be met, and the waveform name is '0' or '1' in EAC you have 2 channels.

  So, you see, it was very easy for my HWS file: put a control, and then select '0' or '1' for the name of a waveform. The more simple the better, jejeje.

  I hope it helps. And sorry for the opening question I now address myself. Yesterday, I was completely lost.

• USB-5133 appearing does not in MAX, "loader" shows driver in Device Manager.

  I have a USB-5133 can I use it on several computers. I'm putting it on another PC (XP Pro). The device is recognized by windows and it goes to install the drivers. When it's done, in the Device Manager-> data acquisition devices, I see "NI USB-5133 Loader. On other computers, he said only: "NI USB-5133. The green light on the device is NOT on, and the device does not appear in Measurement & Automation Explorer.

  No idea why the appropriate driver is not loaded? I have NO-SCOPE 3.5.2.

  The NI USB-5133 Digitizer is a plug-and-play device, try removing the device in MAX.  Then, unplug the device and plug it in again.  The computer should record the device of MAX as "NI USB-5133.  If this does not work, the data base of the MAX could be damaged.  To resolve this problem, see the following link:

  Finally, if the database setting does not resolve this problem, try to reinstall the latest version of OR-SCOPE.

• generate a digital triggering out CH1 (low and high) for the USB-5133

  Hello

  I would like to generate a digital triggering on the USB 5133 CH1, is this possible?  I tried with the PFI 1 successfully but the output is only 3.5 v and I need to 5V, because this trigger signal goes to a box of pulse generates a signal, which is received by the CH0 on the USB-5133. This configuration works on the 5102 OR but because of the treatment, I am obliged to try a new device.

  Channel 0 and 1 are only entries then you will not be able to use them to generate a signal.  All of our products current digitizer that are recommended for new designs use 3.3V CMOS logic levels for PFI lines in output mode.  Your best bet to generate a digital triggering 5V would be to use an external buffer that can accept 3.3V CMOS levels as an input, but is under voltage of 5V.  Here are some that might work for you, but there are many others: http://www.onsemi.com/PowerSolutions/product.do?id=M74VHC1GT126DT1G adding a buffer in line with the trigger signal will add delay, so you will need to ensure that it is acceptable for your application.

  My STR-DN1060 will not play AIFF 24/192 USB linear PCM files. He has no problem with ALAC or FLAC or compressed formats with losses. Any ideas?

  Problem solved. I was more than a little of delay in my responses. It turns out that the STR-DN1060 (my model) plays a hi-res AIFF files. The problem was related to the hidden files in Mac OSX place on the USB when files are transferred. These files are identical by name, but I didn't notice the "." _"prefix. Or rather, I was them noticing, and then try to play, as a little strange that the receiver was seeing them with the prefix. These are 1 k files, normally hidden. Once I realized that I need the page further down in the display of the names of music files, problem soolved.

  Further for those who use Sony receivers with USB devices containing files transferred from a Mac:

  (1) before use it, insert the USB key into a PC machine. Look for *. _ *. *.

  (2) delete all the filenames with this prefix.

  ATTENTION: not dete the. DS_Store or. DS Trashes files. There is a. DS_Store in each directory of the artist. OSXs supplosedly needs them to keep track of things. If it has or has not, those who will not turn on the receiver.

  Basically, I can change the audio channels via the remote control, but the only channel I can operate is a horrible English dub!

  The correct language is selectable, but does not play at all... any ideas?

  In my opinion, you should check first if the same question would appear from different sources.
  I mean, you should check 5.1 movies playing appearance of DVD and BD discs that support 5.1

  In addition, you should check the manual for the video/audio codec and file format supported by using the USB interface.
  To my knowledge, not all formats are supported!

  I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite L675 - 11H and tried to transfer files from a USB Pendrive on my hard drive from Toshiba. The files were already transferred from my old laptop (HP - XP) on my USB flash drive.

  Can you post more detailes about this behavior? What happens if you connect your laptop HARD drive, you don't see that Windows installs the drivers for the new USB device or do you have an error message? If you have connected the USB check of Windows disk management if she s recognized there (Control Panel > system and security > administrative tools).

  Have you tried other USB devices such as USB mice? If they don t work too the problem might be connected to the USB ports. In this case, you must delete all the USB ports on the Device Manager and restart your laptop. Also the chipset driver update might help.

  I have pictures files created on a pc and stored on a USB key.

  Pictures folders cannot contain pictures, only the albums containing photos.  There is an Applescript script in the Photos for Mac usage tips section which allows you to import the pictures folders from your hard drive in the library of Photos and make them into albums with the same name as the folder.  You can get it here: Photos for Mac: File Import of Image files in the library as Albums

  The Photos window sorts the photos by date they were taken and are called Moments.  The window of all sorts photos by date imported into the library with the most recent at the bottom of the window.

  Moments in Photos are new events, i.e. groups of photos sorted by date of catch.

  When the iPhoto library has been migrated first to the pictures there is a folder created in the box titled iPhoto events and all migrated iPhoto events (which are now Moments) are represented by an album in this folder. Use the Command + Option + S key combination to open the sidebar if it is not already open.

  NOTE: it has been reported by several users that if the albums of the event are moved in the iPhoto Library folder in the sidebar, they disappear.  It is not widespread, but several users have reported this problem.  Therefore, if you want to if ensure that you keep these event albums do not transfer out of the iPhoto events folder.

  Is there a way to simulate events in pictures.

  When new photos are imported in the library of Photos, go to the smart album last import , select all the photos and use the file menu option ➙ New Album or use the key combination command + N.  Call it what you want.  It appears just above the folder to iPhoto events where you can drag it into the events in iPhoto folder

  When you click on the folder to iPhoto events, you will get a window simulated of iPhoto events.

  Albums and smart albums can be sorted by title, by Date, with the oldest first and by Date with the most recent first.

  Tell Apple what missing features you want restored or new features added in Photos Photo-Applefeedback.

  I am trying to load a MatLab file using DIAdem 2011.  I downloaded the plugin from data from the Web site of NOR and installed.

  When I try to load a *. MAT file I get the following error.

  Unable to load the file "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\My Documents\SignalExpress Data\08062012_104428_AM\voltage_current_ni_test1.mat" with the charger "MatLab."

  Additional information:
  Impossible to copy a block of data from the file 'C:\Documents and Settings\All my Data\08062012_104428_AM\voltage_current_ni_test1.mat Documents\SignalExpress' in the internal data.

  I never had any other use, by using plugins for DIAdem until I tried to condition a *. MAT file.

  MatLab use worked very well in the past.  My best guess is that this particular *.mat file may contain some data types (3D arrays, structures, etc.) that are not yet supported.  You have no way to verify what are the types of variables are stored in the *.mat file?  MatLab use works with all other *.mat files you have?
