USB keyboard not recognized on USB 2.0 Ports

Hello, I have a dell inspiron 3521.

It has:

2 USB 2.0 ports.

2 USB 3.0 ports.

Whenever I connect my USB keyboard to any port 2.0, it is not recognized.

Instead, it is shown in the unknown devices section.

Earlier, when I had problems with the host VMWare keyboard driver, I had disabled, uninstalled, deleted ad form pilot system via the Device Manager.

Then the keyboard worked until you restart.

Now, it is not recognized on all USB 2.0 ports, but works perfectly in a USB 3.0 port.

I tried the following:

Uninstalled the USB drivers and restarted the system.

Tried to update the driver software (all Device Manager).

Tried with another keyboard, but it does not work either.

What should I do next?

Please suggest me some solutions.

Hi AdityaMudgerikar123,

I would recommend that you consult article Troubleshooting wired keyboards that do not or evil characters such.

Thank you!

    Hello Hans,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand that the IntelliType software is not able to detect the keyboard of the CRA. The question could arise for various reasons, including a faulty hardware, damaged driver etc. I would suggest trying the following methods and check if they help to solve the problem.

    Method 1:

Run the hardware and devices troubleshooter. It checks the common issues of interest and ensures that a new device or hardware connected to your computer has been installed correctly.
Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter

If the issue still not detected or resolved, proceed to the next method.

    Method 2:

I suggest you try to install TWO software provided for Windows 7 in the following link of support for Microsoft Arc Keyboard. Check if the keyboard is detected.

    Microsoft Accessories: keyboard Arc

If the problem persists, I suggest you refer to the following article which allows troubleshooting of common keyboard problems.

  • Satellite Click Mini L9W - keyboard not recognized B

    Hello

I have a problem with my Tablet PC Satellite click Mini L9W - B. The keyboard is not recognized on this subject.

I tried to clean the connector, restart the Tablet several times, tried to load with or whitout the keyboard, but nothing works!
I do not think that the problem is with the battery, as I've seen on other topics as the tablet doesn't detect even the keyboard when I plug. The Tablet does not detect the keyboard battery.

So, if you can give me advice or assistance to solve my problem, I would appreciate :-)

He has no communication with the keyboard at all? (No battery detected, the touch pad and the keyboard does not?) There must be a link related question, I guess. If it was a driver related issue, then the battery would at least get detected)

If you want to void your warranty, you can open the Tablet and keyboard dock and check that the Ribbon connectors or / and remove and replace the Ribbon connectors connectors in

  • Mac pro, USB keyboard not recognized at startup

my mac pro (trash) is a wonderful device. Lately, however, it does not recognize a keyboard plugged in USB to start.

I am at a loss to explain it. I need help.  Advice, anecdotes, guess wild welcome.

    my setup is like this:

    CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT

    Monitor 27 "Apple (hub)

    Extended keyboard Apple USB

USB hub (USB2, apparently, that was not what I paid for)

    Wacom Tablet

Logitec mouse (no driver installed, Logitech *, but the mouse is great he is 15 years old)

    charger for Iphone

    beats headphones cable

    iMic USB audio

The question seems to have started just after I took my computer to the site, when that happens, I use a keyboard and bluetooth mouse. I immediately told my mac to forget the keyboard and the mouse after bringing it back to the House. didn't let it go, there is no moments where he had 'speed' of any kind. Based on my experience, your extended keyboard usb from Apple is the oldest plastic or the most recent aluminium? Based on which you have a branch above Apple usb extension cable. Anyway look at the end of the cable usb and it is most likely has that match unusual for her, this little triangle. It can fit on the Mac Pro USB, but can be a little bit loose as an adjustment. If you use a newer Apple usb extension on the older plastic Apple usb keyboard, this isn't a good fit. If you use the old extension of usb Apple on the most recent alum Apple keyboard, which is not a good fit.

So low line trying to look at the adjustment of the end of the usb in the Mac Pro or hub or ver, you connect to. I got this problem which caused two problems: I was using the older usb Apple with the new Apple alum keyboard extension cable.

    1. frequently the keyboard did not react, looked dead

2 - beta install for starting seeds would start on the hard drive to complete the installation.

Given that I have "corrected" the usb extension appropriate keyboard usb Apple alum both problems went away.

  • USB device not recognized when connected to Toshiba Port Replicator II

I recently bought the Replicator above, loaded the software, restarted my computer and only then connected the device according to the instructions.

I get the error message "unrecognized usb device".
When I go in my gear and check for driver for this device 'unknown' told me that no drivers have been shipped for her

    So my Replicator does not.
I deleted the software and reloaded with the same result

I have a laptop Tecra A8 running Windows XP Service Pack 2
Any help or suggestion would be appreciated

As much I know PortReplicator II only is not supported for Tecra A8. According to the sustained specification is Port Replicator III + only.

If you try to use the option not supported, it is not easy to give any help.

  • Venue 11 Pro 5130 keyboard not recognized battery

My coming Pro 11 works for mobile keyboard, somehow, but the Tablet no longer recognizes that there is a battery inside.  The battery monitor simply indicates the battery 2: absent.

Can someone throw any idea on this issue?

I had a combination of these issues on two different keyboards.

The first keyboard was the issue when the battery has been recognized but not load or unload. It also did not provide when connected directly to the charger. Subsequently fixed by removing the keyboard, disconnect the battery connector, fix the dock and then re-connect the battery.  These instructions to disassemble the keyboard: [view:www.youtube.com/watch]

The second keyboard arrived, and the battery has not been recognized by the Tablet PC.  A fast charge directly with the usb charger seems to give enough charge for the battery to be recognized and operate normally.

  • Keyboard not recognized

Earlier this week, I put the computer to sleep and when I came back the hard drive was off, and when I restarted it would not recognize the keyboard. I rebooted several times and same thing. I suspect something he ate... it may have been :-) like an update? I read on the same problems people had with the release of Vista, but I'm on Windows XP home SP3. What can I do to fix?
    Thank you

I finally received a response from justanswer.com... they said that it is probably a problem with the hardware with my PS2 connectors. They suggested that I get a keyboard and mouse with USB connectors... and it WORKED! Just an info for anyone else having the same problem.

  • Keyboard not recognized at startup mode standby

When I wake my PC from sleep, I can't type my password to login. My Microsoft wireless keyboard doesn't seem to be well recognized Wireless mouse only.

I have to send it to sleep again (by the button on the keyboard that is recognized!) and she wakes again. This can take a long time, whereas before I could type my password the screen flash up.

The problem began just after I installed SP2 for Vista a few days ago.

    dawman,

What wireless keyboard Microsoft do you have?  Please post the model number for us.

If none of the patches I sent you are working and you are sure that the problem started when you installed service pack 2, your only recourse may be to uninstall service pack 2 to see if the problem goes away.

  • keyboard USB not recognized.

    Yosemite on iMac 27 in.

Following a system freeze (screensaver is the alleged perpetrator), the usb keyboard is not recognized.  The mouse works in all ports and when it is plugged into the keyboard. IPhone recharges also through the keyboard. Recovered last time after several reboots and keyboard buffering in after start-up.  This time, no luck. Next steps?

    Hello

I had EXACTLY the same problem.

New iMac and USB keyboard. He works first and the iMac would stop then find the keyboard.

I tried to reboot several times, but that did not always help. My Bluetooth mouse doesn't work. I get to the login screen and I can't type my password (because my keyboard is not be found). I get a message on my screen that the bluetooth keyboard is "impossible", when I don't have a bluetooth keyboard and my USB keyboard is plugged. I tried all USB ports, no luck! I just found a strange way around the issue. I used a keyboard extension cable to plug into the same USB keyboard and it works now. No logical sense... I hope that this might work for you too. Good luck!...
