USB missing in MAX voice

Hello world

I am trying to interface a M833 Monochromator with my pc using labview. My system is actually running

LabView 2010 sp1

MAX 5.0

3.8.1 OR serial

NI-VISA 5.1

on Windows XP.

Open my present instrument Device Manager (this is a plug-and-play device and works well with the softaware factory, so I think the drivers are ok).

Max in devices and Interfaces are listed only:

-Network devices

PXI-

-Series and parallel

What can I do to grab votes usb peripherals and interfaces in Max?

Thank you, uge

Hi uge026,

Since your M833 monochromator is not a material OR and DAQ compatible, it can be registered OR max.

Kind regards

  • USB-6501 on MAX

    Hello

I have USB-6501. I would like to have simulated the device on MAX. However, MAX does not seem to offer a device that simulated for USB-6501. I guess that a device simulated for another device would be sufficient to simulate USB-6501. If this is the case, that would do the job?

  • Sensor USB - RAW VISA MAX Sylvac

    Dear community

I am a new user of LabView and I would like to read the data from a distance sensor Sylvac USB (see here for the link to http://www.sylvac.ch/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=201&category... sensor).

When I use the software provided by Sylvac, no problem everything works fine.

Note that it is not possible to create a secure Channel as Sylvac does not provide drivers for this particular sensor unlike this post http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/How-to-read-out-data-via-usb/td-p/2042980 .

I created the driver NI-VISA following this procedure (Assistant of the Driver NI-VISA)

    http://www.NI.com/white-paper/4478/en/

In the MAX, the sensor is correctly detected.

With the help of a Cokehead USB (USBlyzer) and using Sylvac software and drivers, I found that the software sends a command for the sensor to apply for the position (? \r or 3F 0d in HEXADECIMAL) and the sensor to respond by sending the position (see attachment for USBlyzer report).

When I do the same thing with MAX test panel and drivers of NI-VISA, I am able to see the 0d 3F, then the 2-byte buffer, but no return of the sensors (see attachment).

Anyone know what I am doing wrong, or what direction I should look for?

    Thanks in advance

    Best regards

    Florian

I finally "solved" the problem by changing the sensor with the USB to one with RS232. Thanks for your replies.

  • NOR CAN missing in MAX 9862

I am trying to set up a controller 9014 cRIO with the module OR 9862 CAN, but I see no MAX after I plug in and restart the 9014.  I'm running Labview 2013 and Ithink I installed all the relevant software on the host machine and the 9014. See the attached screen capture and you can see that the 9862 is not displayed.  Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Todd Moore

    University of Illinois

    Unfortunately not. As mentioned earlier, the 9862 won't work on cRIO-911 x / x 908 / 906 x chassis ... 9102 is not in the list.

The 9862 requires a chassis with one of the following FPGAs: Virtex-5 / Spartan 6 / Artix-7. The 9102 has a Virtex-II FPGA, which is well below the minimum. This is the reason why you are not able to function with the module.

I recommend that you get a cRIO-9118 in replacement. This chassis supports the 9862 and there also 8 slots.

I hope this clarifies the issue.

  • EliteDesk 800 G1 USDT: usb ports do not provide enough power

We have a scanner usb requiring 500mA of power.  However, for many of our clients using HPs, the usb ports do not provide enough power to the scanner causing the application to crash.  Some customers use the HP EliteDesk 800 G1 USDT, others use HP zero client t310.  Connect the scanner to a usb hub powered solves the problem every time.

Y at - it changes, they can do for the Bus USB controllers to ensure that a particular port will be able to provide 500mA so they did not need to buy a usb powered a system hub?  Or do you have another suggestion?

    Thanks in advance.

I'm not familiar witht eh models accurate but 500MA is the output for USB 2.0 max but 3.0 can go higher have you tried usingn 3.0 ports if not you can also get a cable Hat uses the power of 2 ports.  Many systems have problems with the only Scanners USB and power supply.

  • Question on size USB for upgrade to blu - ray player

    Hello
I have a question: if I want to move (for example bdx2300) Toshiba blu - ray player, the Toshiba site says (instructions for the installation of the upgrade in the guide 'how to upgrade the F/W'):

"Firmware update requires USB Reader of maximum size of 2 GB. .... "

Is there a restriction on the size of usb, that blu - ray player may take during the upgrade? There is mention of having need a USB 2 GB max size to work... but I only have a key of 8 GB

    Thank you

    null

    > but I only have a key of 8 GB
And have you tested the 8GB memory stick? Doing a job?

  • Can you change the type of device to 'USB Raw resource' to GPIB controller?

I'm trying to configure a GPIB FL Contec GP - IB (USB) controller in MAX.  I could so he can register through the creation of a pilot of the Assistant driver VISA, but it fits as a "gross resource USB" rather than as a GPIB controller.  I can send and receive information from the controller, but it does give me an option to search for connected devices of GPIB communicate with them.  Is it possible to change the type of the device, maybe by manually changing the driver created by the wizard of the NI-VISA driver?  Thank you for your time.

N ° do not use MAX at all. You can just create a GPIB-USB controller on your own. You should contact the seller.

  • Question of GPIB-USB-HS

Hello everyone, I have 5 machines hooked: set of 2 meters, which connect to a power supply that goes to a function generator and led to a thermostream which then my GPIB-USB-HS is used to hang my computer. I am running an executable file from a previous VI, I tested on the computer that has the original VI. I have the correct runtime downloaded, and I can open the VI. There isn't an arrow broken for the execution button, but when I run it, it immediately stops running as if the VI running, but nothing happens. No errors or messages. It's as if nothing does not communicate. So my first instinct was to control the GPIB. They are all tight, and I checked to see if maybe the instruments were not recognized by the GPIB-USB-HS, but MAX watch I have all 5 connected instruments when I 'Search tools'. On the GPIB-USB-HS, there are a light yellow/orange on the loan and nothing on the assets. The GPIB correspond all too much, and the address for the GPIB-USB-HS is set to 0.

    Thank you.

You can create the exe with active debugging and place probes to determine what is and what is not running.

Also, you don't mention if you have installed the runtime of NI-VISA.

  • How to send and receive simple controls USB?

    Hello

Before you begin. I read om internet (USB tutorials, nuggets, etc) for 2 days get it.

but it's really confusing and I still have no idea how to do that. So I ask for your help.

I install a USB device in MAX.

    I need to send this command: 0x0 2 M 1 x 3

Were 0 x 2 sets the start and 0 x 3 sets the end of the command.

I think I have to use a transfer of control, but I do not understand what it takes to use the Index, the value of request,

Request and length entries. I don't understand how sent Hex and ASCII and Dec at the same time.

    Should I convert these values?

I would really appreciate some examples of code. Can I use the VISA controls?

Bravo will be granted, thank you in advance

I'm not sure of the Index, the value of ask.

    But on sending your comand...

I guess that the space before the "M" and the space after the "1" is not necessary,

but the space between the "M" and the "1" is required

  • Could not detect USB RIO 7856R in labview 2012 SP1

    Hi @all,

Why I couldn't detect 7856R USB RIO in labview 2012 SP1? I already install drivers include DVD, see (USB-7856R) in max or, but can not add it to the project manager.

Data sheet says its compatible (between LV2012 and 7856R)!

    Hey damienski86,

According to the product page (tab "Panorama"):

    Required software
This product requires the LabVIEW FPGA Module 2013 or later Version and NEITHER-RIO Version 13.0 or later driver software.

I think that you will have to go up to the latest software (2013 SP1 came out today) in order to be able to use your new hardware. Where do you see that the device is compatible with 12.0 specifications?

  • BDX4350KB Wifi adapter and firmware upgrade doesn't work do not

It is a sequel to my earlier question about if the WLM-20U2 Wifi adapter will work in my blu - ray player.

After buying the adapter I plugged it and a message 'not supported', if I tried to connect wireless it says there was no an adapter connected.

So I assumed that this necessary upgrade, so I formatted a 1 Gb USB drive with the FAT file system, downloaded the file level (version 39 http://www.dl.toshiba.com/player/NA/GB/EN/BDX4350KB.html) and copied the file .bin on the USB.

When I plugged into the player and said to check the disk for a file to update it tells me that "frontend file is not found"... There was only one file to download, and it wasn't in a folder so I guess I'm supposed to just copy that file on the USB drive.

I checked the USB port with a memory stick with photos on and it works fine.

How to get the upgrade to work in the hope that it will enable the wifi adapter to work?

    Thank you

Have you checked the guide in PDF firmware update?
    [Update firmware BDX4350KB | http://fget.dl.toshiba.com/manual/install/10009/Installation_Instruction.pdf?fromPid=%2Fplayer%2FN A%2FGB%2FEN%2FBDX4350KB.html&f=Installation_Instru ction.pdf]

  • FireWire 400 and 800 speed question

I recently bought one of these cords off of eBay for a few dollars.  I have an old external WD which was connected by usb 1.0.  I thought I could get more speed with this cord, but I get all the same read and write speeds of close to 23MBS.

Any ideas why the speed is slow?  Cord? By car?

    Thank you!

    USB 1.0 MAX is 12 Mbps, which is 1.5 Mbps. (b = bit, B = byte [8-bit]).

FireWire 400 MAX is 400 Mbps, which is 50 MB/s.

Without knowing the specifications of the car, I guess that the "old external WD' performance is the limiting factor.
