USB receiver and mouse HP MG-0856

I lost the USB receiver on my mouse HP MG-0856. Is it possible to buy somewhere alone the receiver?

Hello Nikomakhos,

I understand that you have lost your dongle for your mouse HP MG-0856 and want to buy another. Unfortunately, it does not work like that mouse is sync'd to the dongle at the factory and it is not possible to buy another dongle.

I hope that I have answered your question to your satisfaction. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • PowerEdge 840: USB keyboard and mouse not working not.

    Hello everyone.

Yesterday, I pursached a used Dell Poweredge 840 to function as a backup server, I'm having a few problems with it but I can't understand.

I installed the server with Windows Server 2003 x 86 edition and downloaded the drivers on the Dell site. It works perfectly, except for one problem:

USB keyboards and mouse refuse to work.

PS/2 works fine however, but any USB keyboard or mouse will not work.

Flash USB drives read very well, therefore I used to recover some files on the machine before, but it was connected to the network, USB keyboard and mouse do not work.

They are not recognized at startup and do not allow to enter the setup of the BIOS after Windows has started, that they are not always recognized. Windows displays the device as unknown device.

I tried to boot from a live CD of 14.04 Lubuntu, in which the USB keyboard and mouse do not work either. Only PS/2 wants to work.

I have tried different types of USB mouse:

    • Microsoft mouse
    • Acer OEM mouse
    • Mouse laser Logitech M-U0007

None of them could work, although they work fine on my laptop, the main file server which is a model of HP and Dell Optiplex desktop computer.

I tried a few different USB keyboards as well, but they refuse to work.

I ended up borrowing a pair of keyboard and mouse PS/2 to configure the server, but I want it to work with my USB keyboard and mouse.

Just for the record: the USB flash drives do not work very well, it's just the keyboard and mouse is not working.

Anyone know how I can get there?

    Thanks in advance,

    Dominique

    Hello.

Unplug all devices connected to the USB and PS/2 ports. Unplug the AC power cable, wait about 1 minute and then press in and hold the button for about 15 seconds. Reconnect the power and power on the server. Connect the keyboard and mouse to the USB ports and try again.

  • Uninstall the usb keyboard and mouse

I am swapping a USB keyboard and a USB mouse for a combo keyboard and mouse Logitech MK360 wireless on my Dell Optiplex gx620 desktop (Windows 7).  Do I pull up the Device Manager, go to the properties for the keyboard and the mouse and click on uninstall BEFORE or after HAVING physically remove connectors USB keyboard and mouse to the USB ports on the Office?  Should I use before removing connectors USB Safely Remove Hardware?  Thank you

USB keyboard/mouse can be disconnected without using the icon "remove."  In fact, I would be shocked if they were still on the list safely remove at all.

But to answer your first question, which depends on whether you want to keep pilots autour for future use.  If this is not the case, go ahead and uninstall the device before unplugging.

  • USB keyboard and mouse no longer work after motherboard change

I recently changed my motherboard for an ASUS maximus VI Impact, keeping all the other components of the same with the hope of making a generation m - ITX. Now when I turn on the windows machine starts normally, but on the home screen when I type my password to connect, the keyboard and mouse seem to lose the power and stop working.

I tried all USB ports and think its unlikely a hardware problem as the keyboard and mouse work in Bios menu. Also, I have messed around with heritage and setting USB in the Bios, nothing helps. I have a feeling that I have to install the new drivers of motherboard to enable USB support but I can't do that without logging, and the motherboard doesn't have a PS/2 port as well as rules using a PS/2 keyboard.

After reading I think it might have something to do with the version of windows installed on the SSD, I'm using (this is a version for windows 7 Home premium 64-bit OEM) and different sources say that this can only be connected to a motherboard. Is it interesting to try to do a clean installation of windows or will it be a waste of time with my current version? My ideas, please help.

    Hello George,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum.

Before you start with the troubleshooting steps, please answer the following questions.

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?
    2. How do you reinstall Windows on the new motherboard?
    3. Have you received the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) installation DVD?

The OEM of Windows version depends on the hardware ID. If you change the motherboard of the computer, hardware ID changes and you will not be able to install/work with the version of Windows OEM.

I would recommend that you connect another keyboard and mouse to the computer and check if it works. If the game different from the mouse and keyboard does not work with the computer, you may want to consider reinstalling Windows. For more information on reinstalling Windows, you can ask the OEM.

    We know the result.

    Thank you.

You must indicate what is the brand of mouse and the model? Whjat transponder type does the mouse have? The mouse has ever worked? Your laptop has 4 USB ports. No device works in one of the ports?

  • Windows 7 - USB keyboard and mouse do not work once Windows starts

    The following happens occasionally:

The keyboard works perfectly in the BIOS, the post OFFICE and when the Windows 7/64 Ultimate starts (I can tell the [Numlock] led shines). But when you see the Windows login screen, both, USB keyboard, USB mouse and stop working.

I can say this from the [Numlock] LEDS go off and, mouse and keyboard, does not.

There is no discernible specific deadline. Even wait minutes does not get the mouse or the keyboard back from work. In this case, the only way to get both mouse and keyboard, back from work is to reset the machine.

I noticed this strange behavior with several keyboards, mice and different motherboards. So, it doesn't seem to be a problem related to a particular device.

Independent since I also noticed the following:

    • I am currently using a card mother GIGABYTE Z68XP-UD3-iSSD. If I activate XDR (caching system with the small SSD disk) then Windows 7 starts up very quickly but keyboard and mouse get disabled for about 5 seconds when the login screen appears.
      .
    • During the installation of Windows, the keyboard rarely has not activate during the POST at all.

I noticed that several people share the same problem. Is this an inherent problem USB HID? Or is there a bug in Windows that should be fixed?

    Hello

This might be a question of power, where Windows is shutting off the power to your USB ports. Try this:

    Open the Device Manager
Click on the tree "Universal Serial Bus".
For each "USB root hub" do the following-
    Right-click on 'USB hub root'
    Select Properties
    Click the power management tab
Make sure that the box "Allow the computer to turn this device to save power" is NOT checked.

Try restarting now. If all goes well, that will take care of the issue.

It would seem then that some Windows Update screwed to the top of the application of Digital Signature.  I've seen Windows updates do something funny on some computers, but this is a first for me.  Microsoft updates have been buggy lately to not feel alone.

You may need to use the F8 key until a new update of Windows solve the problem or Logitech Updater provides a new driver.

I've attached Logitech tips for reference.

If you wish you can query Logitech support if they know something.

Unfortunately, that's the best I can do, but at least you have something.

  • Internal keyboard and mouse do not randomly respond time forcing me to restart my laptop 15 times until it works again

    1. sometimes this feedback haptic on the mouse is not triggered, leaving me by clicking on the mouse, while feeling against nature - something that is not supposed to happen

    2. after I close my laptop / closing of the lid/Eve (do not turn it off) the keyboard and the mouse literally don't work - it forces me to restart my laptop several times (sometimes around 15, take me 5-10 minutes just to get my laptop to work)

    Additional details:

-J' tested a USB keyboard and mouse with my laptop and it works perfectly, even when the internal don't - maybe it's a hardware problem?

-I went to the apple store a few weeks ago and spoke to someone at the "Genius Bar," which really helped at all - he told me I have to restart my laptop every time I open and I should do another user account - although I was skeptical about the logic used to arrive at these "solutions" I tried them anyway , here we are with the same problem - also, I don't have to close my laptop down 15 times every time I want to use, it's ridiculous, and that's why I bought a mac rather than a pc.

-I'm not running any software/battery intensive programs on my laptop - especially just the word and the Google Chrome, which is not a lot

-Here is a link to a video I downloaded from google reader showing how ridiculous, it's... https://drive.Google.com/open?ID=0B4oQ4C8NCLcWTWo5aVlrbDE1QmM

    Questions

-I don't think that a fix is quite likely, but any suggestions are welcome!

-Can I bring to the apple store and require a replacement? I left two years of care of apple

This is probably in the wrong category, I apologize in advance - but it is a really weird problem that I don't think has a solution. Nevertheless, thank you for the reading of my rants and seizure of your advice!

One thing that causes the mouse further trolling, is if your CPU is completely consumed by something. This can be checked in activity monitor CPU (all processes).

Two other things can keep your Mac to be properly adjusted:

GPU is suspended. These are cases where the GPU is no longer and can usually be seen in the console log, with symptoms such as GPU hang or WindowServer does not.

    Disk crashes.

For the rotation of the discs, this can be a sign of imminent death of player.

For SSDS of spare parts, this can be caused by the accumulation of deleted blocks, used in activating do not trim for your third-party SSD drive.

The reason of suggests that you create a new user id is as a check against the clogging of a particular userid with junk that keeps things from being reactive. [a new user id will not have it clutter accumulated, so can react differently. He is not really a solution, it's a diagnosis.]

  • The USB receiver for my wireless one mouse overheating and now unusable

Original title: what's happening with my mouse?

My wireless Microsoft 5000 mouse: the usb piece has overheated to the point, you can actually burn your fingers on it and now it won't work.  It's the second mouse what has happened.  I had the same exact type of mouse before and it did the same thing, I thought it was a fluke and I love that mouse, so I bought another.  Of course, now it overheats too.  It is not my computer because I use other usb mice, and they do not overheat.  Is this simply faulty mouse, because I read of others having the same problem.  I spent $80 for 2 of them last year, can it be replaced?

  • HP ENVY 27-p050na All-In-Onw: USB receiver preinstalled for keyboard/mouse wireless

The new all-in-one happened a few days ago.

I noticed something VERY important. The USB receiver for the keyboard and the mouse was not in view, I think that this has been pre-integrated into the all-in-one PC.

My intention was to use my old devices wirelessly with my new PC, but I would use the new HP wireless keyboard and mouse included with the HP ENVY 27-p050na with my laptop.

If it is not transferable, it would be a horrible design!

    Help, please.

    @fusain, welcome to the forum.

The dongle is not integrated, but pre-installed.  Here is a picture that will help you to find:

Once you find it, you can actually remove and install in one of the free USB ports outside the computer.
