USB support

I disable usb support in the bios.  little I didn't know, that disable my ps/2 ports as well.  How to get back in the settings of the bios without keyboard or mouse?

Hello:

That's ok.

Since it is a forum for the HP consumer PC, that is why it probably isn't a server section.

You would like to the HP Business support in the future, forum where you can find a server section.

http://h30499.www3.HP.com/

Since I am a member of two forums, please see the link to the below service manual. Refer to page 72 of the Diagnostic Tools section and you will find the procedure to clear the CMOS and you should be able to restore access to the BIOS.

While I do not see it directly on this page, I'm sure that you must turn off the server and disconnect the a/c power cord before removing the rider.

  • Problem with the Menu of Microsoft starting and turning off Legacy USB Support

I recently bought an Adesso ADP-PU21 active USB-PS/2 adapter. Most of the time it works OK except when the computer wakes from sleep. For troubleshooting I tried to turn off Legacy USB Support in the BIOS of my computer settings just to see if that helped what whatsoever. However, my keyboard does not work until Windows has finished starting when the legacy support is disabled. I can't use the Microsoft boot menu to select an operating system to start. This is the reason why I made this thread to get help with it. I have dual boot between Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit and Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. Is there a way to fix this, so I can have usb legacy support turned off and continue to use the start menu? I had this problem before, when I tried something else but I don't remember what it was. I hope in any case, there is an alternative for this switching usb legacy support back on. Any suggestions?

    Hello

While installing the printer on Windows using Bootcamp can work, there is no guarantee...

The OS installed in fact like a virtual envoirnment, which means that your Windows operating system uses your Mac OS USB drivers as the host, and not those intended for Windows windows.

This is why it is not recognized by the software.

  • File USB supports for disappointment 19BL502B TV

    Hello

After reviewing various brands and models of 19-inch TVs, I decided on the Toshiba 19BL502B, after downloading the manual for http://www.toshiba-om.net online.

What particularly attracted me to it was the support of USB for movies Xvid encoded, as described in 'Appendix C: supported File Formats for USB Mode' in the manual that I downloaded from the top.

So, I bought one, paid in cash, but when I try to run files xvid, TV does not have this format.
Research in the paper manual that I got with the TV, Xvid files are not mentioned at all in Appendix C.

Convert these files in mpeg2 standard comes with a heavy fall in quality and even when converted to Vob format, the image is ok, but there is no sound.

I tried to take it back to the shop but they say there is nothing wrong with television, as it does what it says in the manual.

So what's happening? Why my new TV from Toshiba UK does not supports xvid, even if the online manual says it does, and I know that make televisions more expensive and larger Toshiba?

Can I get an upgrade of the software that supports xvid as advertised?
My software version is 0.6.6 V and when I do an update he claims it's the lates version.

So is there an earlier version of the software which, is there a place I can download it, put it on a USB key and upgrade to get what I consider all of the announced features?

I am very, very disappointed, because it was really the main reason that I bought the machine, so I didn't have to reconvert and DVDs to read.

    Disappointed Frank.

    Hello

File formats supported for USB mode are listed in appendix c.
And the video Format Xvid is supported for files with the file extension. AVI
So if your movies are encoded in the format xvid video, you must use the .avi file extension.

  • No BIOS for USB support? Can't boot from USB HDD

    Hello

I was trying to install two operating systems (Linux, Windows Vista CTP) on my external hard drive (USB 2.0, Firewire). And I can't seem to-because he doesn't seem to be a way to specify the support of USB devices in your boot sequence. It seems that the configuration of the BIOS is limited to these 5 icons of basic (no text below the same you know what they represent) - that seem to hold to drive HARD, CD/DVD, network, etc., but none of the USB hard drives (I don't think the FDD account)?

For example, install Windows Vista complains that the BIOS does not support boot from my external hard drive - Linux does.

    Or am I missing something...?

    Kind regards

  • How to enable the USB Support after that it disappeared from all USB keys on computer, so that the Webcam & printers no longer work?

My Canon printer and my HewlettPackard printer-copier-Scanner, as well as my Web Cam just stopped working, and when I checked the Device Manager, I found that (IP), (PPPOE) WAN Miniports and (PPTP) had all of their disabled drivers.   I'm unable to re - activate these drivers, and my Web Cam and printers were not included.    Restoration of the system, and many re - start didn't help.  Microsoft Fixit did not help.   Can someone please help me solve these problems?

    Hi WaggaJohn,

    1. What happens when you try to activate?
    2. You receive an error message?
    3. What happens when you connect the webcam to the computer?
    4. How the printers are connected to the computer?
    5. You are able to use other USB devices on the computer?

The WAN Miniport driver on Windows XP system allows to connect to some networks such as networks wireless large-scale.

    Method 1

I suggest that you uninstall all the software driver for the webcam and the printer to the computer using Device Manager and Add/Remove programs and then reinstall the updated driver from the printer manufacturer website and check if it helps.

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.

I understand your concern, because you are facing problems with the connection of a device through USB ports.

I would like to inform that you need to check if your computer has USB 2.0. Most older computers have USB 1.0, which is not supported. I suggest you to connect different USB ports and check whether the USB port works.

Also, I suggest you hardware troubleshooting run and peripherals.

  • How to change the Legacy USB Support on hp phoenix h9 - 1215t?

I was wondering if anyone knows how to change the option of existing usb on the phoenix from HP support. I tried to find on the BIOS, but I had no chance.  I want to change it, is because I want to use my hardrive external without unplugging and pluggin it back everytime I turn on my computer.

    Hello

I see that your particular PC is not active UEFI. You can check that the information provide in the BIOS.  Version 7 is not UEFI. If you start in the BIOS (tap button to power up the ESC) and then press F10 computer for installation.  Now, go to storage topics and then select Boot Order. You should be able to move the hard drive on it to the top of the list of Legacy devices and then save the settings.

I saw on some latops legacy USB option as a separate selectable parameter.

  • The USB support in offline mode option does not work

I just bought a new netbook NB100, version of ubuntu. The option to recharge an iPod via the USB port (even if the computer is on but is shutdown or standby extended) does not work. I saw that this problem was already recognized by a few critics of the product, i.e.:

    of apcmag.com:
Yet all Toshibaa? s card promised USB 2.0 ports could load connected devices even while the netbook is off (as long as it remains connected to Acre, of course), it could not charge an iPod.

I'm interested to know if there is a way to solve this problem. It is a unique option of Toshiba being mentioned nowhere in their product pages and in the guide.

    Best regards
    Tom

You must set it in the BIOS (F2 at startup). I think it's under advanced in the BIOS menu. Choose Mode 1; If that doesn't work try Mode 2.

  • Satellite C50 - B - 14 d - Windows 10 UEFI/MSC (and USB support)

Microsoft now offer Windows 10 free download
(although for the moment they call it Windows Technical Preview).

    I have it on my laptop C50 - B - 14 d. There are 2 separate but, I think, related problems.

First of all, back on the Windows 8 Toshiba Office puts different icons, but they do NOT appear on the desktop Windows 10 (quite obviously).

If I could download these routines, that would solve this problem, and also, I hope, the problem I'm about to describe.

The particular icon from Toshiba that I miss relates to the parameters (and may even call it).
This allows me to move from the laptop of UEFI to CSM and set a USB key instead of a HARD drive as the primary location of the operating system to load.

The advantage of the desktop icon is that it allows these changes from Windows itself.
To do this, laptops require generally the user presses a button (for example, F12) when the machine is fed up.

I used this a few weeks ago for load Linux Mint on the laptop.
The problem is that F12 does any more work in this context.
(I tried also in vain F2 and F8.)
Judging by the hurries of Windows loads, it seems that the machine is set to UEFI mode.

Please help me get this laptop for dual boot. Thanks in advance.

    Hi frank,.

I guess the icons called are Toshiba applications that were released for the Win 8.1 System.
Of course these apps software aren t compatible and made to win 10.

To be honest, I don't think you can use these software to Toshiba as part of win 10 right now.

First win them all 10 (Windows Technical Preview) isn't a final product, his release even no candidate. There are a lot of bugs, and I can't imagine than software which is not put to the test and to provide this system would work properly.

But your expereinec Win 10 is appreciated... I'm very interesting to win 10.
I'll try to test this system in the next time, but I'm not going to use it in my production environment. just as a test system.
